I have had to take him back for laser treatments approximately eight times to promote healing on his leg. We have had to keep a very active Husky mix calm. We have had to keep his harness and leash on outside until Dr. Chand gave us the ok. After the surgery, we were sent home with two antibiotics as well as anti-inflammatory meds that kept him comfy. We bought him an Orthopedic "bed" which is an actual couch to him. We have had to decrease his intake of food due to the decrease in activity. We had to crush his meds with a pill crusher, and mix it with his food. At first, it was hard for him to stand long enough to drink and eat. We had to carry his food and water to him. He had to wear a "cone" for a few weeks. It has been 2 months now, and he is doing a lot better, putting almost all of his weight on his injured leg. He was cleared by Dr. Chand to start walks and gradually increase the walks. We are so thankful for the staff at New Market Animal Hospital for doing such a good job of taking care of our pup. It is a LOT of work, but so worth it!! I highly recommend Dr. Chand, Sam, Leslie, Caroline, Jasmine, Meg and anyone else I forgot. They have reasonable prices and gave us a detailed estimate of what it would cost.

One of the receptionist was very odd and offered poor customer service. On top of that, she charged me the extra cent in my bill that when I signed the estimate was $743.99, but charged me $744.00. The assistant who took care of us didn't introduce herself and was asking questions giving her back to us. Clearly didn't care about giving great customer service either, but finish her task and keep moving. She took my cat to get blood work and xrays for at least 1h 1/2 when that takes few minutes to do. Dr. Chand came into the room, first impression went well. After taking blood work and xrays to give me a diagnose, still didn't have a clear diagnose, but a guessing of liver or gallbladder issues since enzymes were high. He did not show me xrays when I asked him to do. Stepped out of the room and never came back to talk to me. The assistant/ receptionist charged me for the medications, and I paid a total of $1022.48 ‼ to keep waiting for the tech to go over the medicines I just paid without knowing I paid for 5 types of medicines. When she went over the meds, asked why 2 types of antibiotics, she told me they're for different organs. Big red flag! if doctor does not know the diagnose, will be guessing and giving me all kinds of meds to treat everything on my cat, and one of them has to work...without thinking on the organ's damage by taking so many meds. That's call malpractice!!! Also, one vitamins they gave me is not good quality brand. It has refined sugar like fructose and xhantan gum. I tried to belive on Dr. Chand, and I gave to my cat the medicine he suggested, with 0% improvement the following day. Still scary for us. When I call and ask for blood test send over to me, since I paid and own the test, the receptionist told me they have to ask permission to doctor and they have to change the format to send it to me, taking 24-48h. To me, that's a terrible answer and makes me think they're being sneaky. Blood test should be send as it is without having to change or fix anything. Some people like me have a background on medicine and knows how to read blood work. This is the first office that tells me something like that. Another red flag! Last time I called, I asked the receptionist to ask 4 questions to the vet, that I never got back with answers. Dr. Chand called back, unfortunately at the time I was still at the other new vet, leaving me a message to go over the xrays only, without leaving a message answering the questions I asked before. Went to get a second opinion to other vet, and discontinued 4 out of 5 meds dr. Chand suggested. I got a diagnose of bowel infection by the new vet and sat a review the previous xrays that this office took. My new vet doing the work that dr. Chand had to do. The new vet gave her a shot and again IV fluids, the same night my cat was finally eating. And no, it was not from all the meds dr. Chand gave me. In fact, it was killing her slowly. So disappointed! Last to say, the documents they sent to the new vet said dr. Chand sent me home with 6 cans of food for my cat....NOT TRUE! He didn't event mentioned such a thing. Documents are saying thing that never happened. Office needs better staff and Dr. Chand needs to stop working. I would not trust on him anymore. Prices are incredible HIGH! and they took advantage of the emergency situation!
