It was great when they did a unit on bees because I couldn't figure out how to say "hive" but it was in the email so I could tell my daughter when she asked (enjambre, btw ). My daughter transferred to this school when she was 3 and stayed thru the TK/Kinder program. She has come such a long way and is even reading and doing math! My son started when he was 6 months and the school really met them where they were at, especially when it comes to sleep schedules and big transitions/development (e.g.- one nap, teething, moving up rooms). Their curriculum is diverse and well rounded, the facilities and equipment are well taken care of and maintained, the events they have are so fun and thoughtful, the staff is kind and my kids seemed to trust and feel comfortable with everyone they encountered there, the admin team is so welcoming, supportive, and communicative...the list goes on! Overall, everyone at this school seems to lead with genuine care for the kids and their development. I felt that 1st grade was a really important year and I wanted to make sure she had a solid academic foundation. She attended summer camp before 1st grade and loved it!!! She said it was her favorite camp of the summer - which says a lot since she was in a lot of great camps. My daughter now goes once week for 1st grade Smart Start. Despite being in an immersion program where only 20% of the day is in English, my daughter is reading 1-2 grade levels above and what is more important is that absolutely loves reading!!! We homeschool. Have done since day one. So finding classes the kids love, that are educational…read moreand affordable, are not major time commitments, and are local is a priority. Unfortunately, a lot of what is out there misses out on one or more of those. Part of it is that homeschoolers are not used to the same organised structure public and private schools use and so classes that run along those lines don't work well. Our kids are used to a more organic structure with not only open discussion, movement, and few if any worksheets, but also multi-age participants and small class sizes. C3 offers this. There's usually 8-15 students in a class from a number of grades. There is a lot of student participation and few worksheets. Experiments abound and discussion is normal. I love that there are a variety of "experts" teaching -- teachers, graduates, and experts all offer their knowledge and love of the topic. And what is being taught is not only high level, but also interesting and not driven by testing needs. It started small but has grown with classes in debate, various sciences, maths, geography, art history and art itself, literature, creative writing, various history topics, and even at times things like LEGO robotics! Catapults have been built, ice cream made, Latin spoken, and poetry crafted. The founders are wonderful, down to earth, and approachable. If you homeschool through a charter school and they aren't yet approved venders, speak with them and they'll get it done. The only area it is lacking IMO is for the lower and higher grades. The vast majority of what they offer falls squarely in the grades 4-9 area. I'd love to see more classes for the younger grades because it is such a wonderful resource. I'd also love to see some older grade classes. Maybe some independent study classes with a supervising/facilitating instructor? But that aside, C3 is brilliant.

She mentions about great things teacher taught her, how much she loves teachers and put teachers' names in her birthday party invite list, and how lovely her friends are from schools I am lucky that I have found the most trusted place for my kid toddler life.
