The principal and all of the teachers have been amazing since day one...including the YMCA for after school care by the way. My daughter is about to enter middle school and I am so sad that fifth grade is almost over....She has been here since Kinder.....She is fluent in Spanish and it feels like we are in a private school the way that everyone here acts toward one another...JUST LIKE FAMILY...I am actually disappointed that I chose to send my almost 20 year old son to our home school....a little late for that. This is a dual immersion school (English/Spanish) and produces not only blonde/blue fluent Spanish speakers, but also produces fluent English speakers that were previously only Spanish speaking, which relieves the burden on the middle schools. If you are not in a big group you don't get to seat at the table. All other areas like walls are taken over also. I bet teachers have plenty of room in their cozy lunch room. When kids need help teachers are not even willing to answer e-mails back. English teacher Mrs. Velez doesn't grade all the work, so grades are lower than they would if all the work would be graded. Teachers like Dubel and Amon are friends so they spend literally half of the time talking to each other, going to each other classrooms, leaving the kids alone playing computer games or do nothing. Some teachers simply don't explain material well. Do I need to say more? It's endless.
