This 2 star rating is purely because their work done was way overpriced and double of what it should have been. One leaking pipe in wall cost a little over $1500 to repair. Unfortunately I was out of town and could not fix it myself. They were able to get out there and fix the pipe right in less than 3 hours counting some sheet rock removal. I fixed the pipe next to it when back in a couple hours for less than $100 in parts. Realistically the job they did should have cost $350-500, even with quick response and good work, I could see it costing 500-$800 max in todays devalued dollar. They also quoted me $16,000 to repipe the house 1700 square feet house, 4 bed, 2 bath, 2 story. This is also at least double what it should cost, and I got another estimate from another plumber for $5000. So I will be using them instead. In short Linn Benton Plumbing is way over priced. But they do decent work, and plumber that came out was nice to my spouse. I just wish they would not price gouge. Also, they mailed me a $25 gift card after the work. My guess, to butter me up in hopes of a good review. Don't be fooled, save your money. read more

I experienced the same extortionist pricing as several others. The bid price to snake our drain (with no cleanout) was $749. The service person was very nice and respectful. But when I asked him how much time it would take to snake the drain he first said, "It depends." When I pressed him, he said, "About an hour." Really?!?!!? $750/hour to snake a drain?!?!?! I said "No, thank you," and paid the flat visit fee of $99. But then he wanted me to sign some electronic document that said they had done good work and I was satisfied. What work? How could I sign something that was totally false? They had done no work. I refused to sign. Like others, I strongly recommend that you stay away from this business. read more

Linn Benton plumbing company is a nightmare. $750 for a five minute snaking of a kitchen drain. But first there was unbelievably manipulative and aggressive sales tactics, demanding I choose between three paths of action before I had any info to base it on. They seemed to think having their extortionist estimates on an iPad made them legit, or maybe their ridiculous branded shirts. Whatever, they are just crooks. Avoid like the plague. read more

Took advantage of a 90+ year old lady with a bill over 3x's industry standard. Pathetic customer service, and response to the bill. Gave a supposed 10% discount for customer satisfaction, so don't believe the positive responses, they are bought. $20 dollars worth of parts and an hour of work for $950, that is close to criminal. I wish I lived closer to my mom so I could make sure she doesn't have to deal with people like this. Fix the problem and charge what other plumbers charge. They also tried to sell her completely unneeded services for even more. It would be nice if we could count on people to just do the right thing for a decent price. read more

I had to replace my old kitchen faucet with a New kitchen Faucet which I bought it from Home Depot. I called them and they sent a plumber (Danny) to my home. He came and replace the kitchen faucet in no less than 25 minutes and charged me 608$. After he left I did some investigations to find out how much other companies would charge to replace a customer provided kitchen faucet. Home Depot would charge around 135$. Roto Rooter in Albany told me that they would charge 199$. I called Even Flow plumbing in Corvallis and their estimate was 300$. 1)Before you call this company please call 03 other companies and get estimates 2) Also they would charge 100$ just to come to your house to give an estimate. They are not willing to give a ball park figure for a job. This is how they will trap you to get your job and rip off your hard earn money 3) They don't charge hourly for the job, and they give you a flat fee price. Don't get caught to this trap because that's how you are gonna loose your hard earn money. read more

WOW! What great work. Exceeded my expectations for coming so soon after I called and completing the work the next day. Yes, some added costs only because builder did not put a drain under the hotwater heater. The tech BIll (hoping I remembered his name correctly) he did maticulus work and explained as he went along. We had some great conversations also. So I can rest assured that my "New" hotwater heater will be running well and efficiently for many years. We contacted Linn Benton plumbing for a quote on a installation in our newly purchased house last year. Our experience was great on the original estimate but we decided to not go through with the first install. We Contacted them again a few months back to have them come out for a main shut off valve replacement. Had a company source the leak, then contacted Linn Benton for the repair. They gave me the quote of 1650$ and let me know that it could be possible that due to where the leak was located(inside the meter box at the sidewalk) that concrete on the sidewalk would possibly be needing to be cut out. I agreed to the repair thinking it was going to be a lengthy job. The 2 guys who did the work were very professional and I have nothing against the work done. The concrete wasn't cut out, and the repair only took them around 2 1/2 hours to complete. (1 guy was gone about half the time picking up parts) I paid them and the next day called them for a breakdown of the work as I felt 1650$ for a little over 2 hours worth of work and maybe 100$ in parts was excessive. they told me I would receive a call from the office manager to further explain the breakdown. I received a generic email the next day saying they are "flat rate" and charge by the job. I work in the automotive industry and also work on a flat rate system. If I quote higher on a job due to unforeseen issues and everything goes smooth, the customer would receive money back due to it going smoothly. A week later I received a thank you letter in the mail with a 25$ gift card to Lowes which I felt was a slap in the face after this was all said and done. at the end of the day, the work performed was good, the guys who did the work were professional, but the pricing to me was price gouging. just my 2 cents. sadly I won't be using Linn Benton plumbing in the future. would give 2.5 out 5 stars due to how things went and the pricing. read more

We called them to do a simple PEX line to a toilet and 2 lines to a sink with a total of 10 feet and they came back with a quote for 4 hours and over $1800. The job would take just over 30 minutes for any plumber and the materials were 20 feet of PEX and some PEX sleeves. Thank god for other honest plumbers letting me know this was price was ridiculous. read more

Good service but at an ungodly price tag. $470 to fix a low pressure faucet took less than an hour.

I simply needed 3 outside hose bibs installed, hour and a half work time. charged me over 2600$, that's right over 955$ dollors an hour. Don't use these crooks they will rob you blind. read more

At our home, we had an issue with the handle of one of our toilets and two other small issues with toilet seats. They quoted us over $700 and tried to upsell us on things we didn't need. In the end, we declined the service, went to Lowes for a $5 handle and two $35 toilet seats, watched a YouTube video, and successfully fixed the problems while saving $600. Absolutely ridiculous price for such small issues. Would not recommend their service in the future. read more

Miles was on time and gave us a very competitive bid on the two items we had called about, which was correcting a leaking master bath faucet and replacing an exterior hose bib. We had a leak somewhere with the line leading to the house....thought maybe under the house but instead about 5 feet from the house it turned out. Normally I would use Carpenters Plumbing as they are local and fair but at the moment not available. So I came across Linn Benton Plumbing and talked to his wife who quoted me a price around $350 that included drive time as I asked her to confirm. When Jon showed up he quoted the same price of $350 unless it became more difficult. After about 2 hours of digging around we found the leak,and I say we since I helped him dig. It turned out to be a small brass fitting that needed replaced which took about 30 minutes to repair. So when I asked him how much he told me $800 which put me in total shock! I went inside and told my wife who was so mad that she confronted Jon wanting a complete break down to get this cost. He told her he doesn't do it that way and we never did get an answer to justify that much but did offer excuses like turning down another job that paid $800 which is not our problem. My wife basically told him we will pay $600 and that is it and after some discussion he settled on it but the whole ordeal left bad feelings. To sum things up we both dug a trench about 5 feet long by 2 feet deep.....he replaced $20 in parts if that which took around 3 hours counting discussion for $600. If I take out the $20 and $150 for drive time & gas leaves $430. You break his hourly rate down out of it and he charged us $143 per hour and it would have been higher if we paid hm the $800. I actually thought Jon was a pretty good guy until he gouged us on the price. His work is fine but his character not so much....we will not recommend him to anybody and will definitely do our best to deter anybody from being taken advantage of like us! read more

Jon Hatch, owner of Linn Benton Plumbing, brings a five star level of responsiveness and integrity to his plumbing work. My household had a clogged toilet that we couldn't fix ourselves. Jon was able to come to our home within hours of our calling him, and assessed what was going on with a deteriorated pipe. He somehow managed to locate the pipe buried underground in the backyard, and only replaced that portion necessary to remedy the problem. He communicated options for keeping costs down, and was very fair in his pricing for the work of both he and his helper Miles. I have known Jon for a number of years and continue to have the utmost respect for his work ethic and sharp mind.
