Vibes were welcoming. Staff were fun, engaging, knowledgeable and helpful. But if you're not a local but was floored by the pies and can't stop thinking about them yummy pies; check out their website for frozen ready to bake pie mail orders. They have sweet or savory, whole pie or single serving, and gluten free options.

The shop is stocked with goods made locally in SLO County. You can tell the store is thoughtfully thought out- from the display of the goods to the available items. There's things for everyone- the foodie, the plant lovers, the souvenir searchers, the four legged (doggy & kitty) lovers, the home and yard decorators, the clothes lovers, etc. The store isn't always open, but go into the pizza restaurant next door and ask when it'll be open. It's totally worth making that effort. The owner is super sweet and so nice too! I purchased a metal Cambria sign and we just mounted it on driftwood from Moonstone Beach. We absolutely love it !!!

Walked in to the bright and airy shop and was immediately greeted with a big smile. The shop is small, but thoughtfully laid out. Not only are there different foods to try from local shops around the Central Coast, there are crafts and gift items as well. I picked up a block of local Garlic Jack cheese to add to a charcuterie board I'm making for a Christmas party. There were so many different things to check out that I cannot wait to go back next time I am in town to see what other local treats I can experience!

We caught Jan on her way to deliver mushrooms to the local restaurant, Madeline's, whose fine French cuisine we had enjoyed twice in our trip (the mushrooms were delicious!). She doesn't carry pink oyster mushrooms (they do tend to stink after a couple of days) but she gave us a sampler pack of beautiful, tasty mushrooms. I am forever a fan. I will be ordering spices from their website, and buying mushrooms whenever I am in town.

I had the Faroe Island Salmon served with broccoli and cauliflower with brown & wild rice. The salmon was one of the best salmons I've had. I usually don't eat the skin, but this skin was crisp and the salmon was cooked perfectly. If you love salmon, this is a must. My friend had a chicken pasta and also loved their main dish. Unfortunately it was a special that night so no clue how often they have it For dinner I went with the pecan crusted halibut topped with a leek sauce and my wife had the fish and chips. Both completely outstanding. The fish and chips were so good I kept stealing off my wife's plate. My dish was equally as good. Even the broccoli was delicious!! Nothing was left on our plates. I'm not sure why they asked if it was our anniversary when they did zero for it. Don't ask if you don't care. Previous visit I had the lamb and my wife had the steak. Highly recommend you eat her. Call and make a reservation! Don't bother telling them it's your birthday or anniversary when they ask since they don't really care!
