The shop is stocked with goods made locally in SLO County. You can tell the store is thoughtfully thought out- from the display of the goods to the available items. There's things for everyone- the foodie, the plant lovers, the souvenir searchers, the four legged (doggy & kitty) lovers, the home and yard decorators, the clothes lovers, etc. The store isn't always open, but go into the pizza restaurant next door and ask when it'll be open. We caught Jan on her way to deliver mushrooms to the local restaurant, Madeline's, whose fine French cuisine we had enjoyed twice in our trip (the mushrooms were delicious!). She doesn't carry pink oyster mushrooms (they do tend to stink after a couple of days) but she gave us a sampler pack of beautiful, tasty mushrooms. I am forever a fan. I will be ordering spices from their website, and buying mushrooms whenever I am in town.

They have tons of fudge flavors all made in-house, a wide variety of chocolate bonbons, salt water taffy and all sorts of retro candies - what a find! I'm a sucker for chocolate fruit cream bonbons so I opted for a bunch of those flavors, as well as a coconut one and a couple of fancy looking ones: lavender white chocolate and rose white chocolate! I took them home to share with the hubby and we really enjoyed them! The traditional fruit creams were excellent, as well as the coconut bonbon. The lavender and rose ones were good but just too sweet and rich for me (personal preference). Staff are super sweet (no pun intended lol!!) and helpful. Prices are what you'd expect for the area and they offer shipping and even gift wrapping services. Their location is excellent - very walkable little town with lots to see and do. Parking is all street parking and ample outside of the busy season. A great spot to stop and satisfy your sweet tooth!
