Every time we visit Hearst castle, we always stop by this place. The owners are sweethearts and they are only open starting Memorial Day weekend to the end of the year. There's a petting zoo, and lots of cute little nic nacks and snacks! My only gripe is that it is a bit of a tourist trap, and they charge sky rocket prices for things made in China aka animals sculptures, etc to place in your yard. If they were made locally, I could see why the price would be marked high. Other than that, it's a cute place, and a fun place to stop if you have kids!
What brought me to Jack Creek was their pumkin sale. I was so lost when I realized they were sold out of Cinderella pumkins and all I knew is I wanted something tasty! Becky came to the rescue with an impressive amount of knowledge and wonderful attitude! When you think of local businesses that you really want to suport this place should definitely be at the top of your list. They have a ton of really cute gift ideas inside their shop and fresh locally famed goods on the outside. They have someone with incredible chocolatier talent making the cutest truffles.
I really enjoyed my experience here. The lady working at the shop who did the honey tastings was so sweet and informative! And the honeys were delicious! Only tried one maple but it was really good and end up buying it. Also visited the farm ($3 per person) and got to see the goats, chickens, and bunnies. If you want to feed the goats you will have buy that separate (wish someone told us that before we were out there). I was hoping to do some picking it didn't appear that was being offered at the time. But overall a really cute place to stop at and spend an hour.
Diving out to Moro Bay this past Sunday and flipped around after passing this cute establishment off the Highway! The two sister's who ran the store were so fun and encouraged us to try anything we wanted to. The Apple cider slushies sounded amazing and would be so good on a hot day in North County. They also have a kids zone right next door that would be fun for kids under 6.
What a full day (manual labor makes it feel like a day, but really it was maybe an hour and a half) at Jack Creek Farms! There is a bunch to do. We went for the u-pick apples which were plentiful. We got about...wait for it - 16 lbs of apples! They have a bunch of varieties of apples. There were also some remaining tomatoes, peppers, and a few giant squash. The apples were really sweet and crunchy and reminded me somehow of basically drinking juice straight from the apple. None of that truck transit mealiness or diluted flavor. But, you do have to pick around the apples that some critters enjoyed. We also got pumpkins for Halloween. They have a cute store with unique items and brands. The owners of the farm are really friendly and ring up purchases themselves. They are apparently also known for some apple slushies. As an almost 30 year old, I had fun. They also have some attractions specifically for kids. I just went for the apples. We were among the only people picking apples on a Friday AM, but there were plenty of kids and families there enjoying other parts of the farm. Of course, we need to cover the bathroom sitch. It is porta potties. Let's get that out of the way. They are, however, the cleanest porta potties I've seen. But, still a porta pooty is a porta pooty. A great time for any age human unless you only wear heels and want to drink wine.
I had a great time picking vegetables and berries here! It was a bit hot so if you visit make sure to plan for that The veggies were tasty and I made a good meal from them when I got home. I also loved the shop there where they had aioli and honey tastings. I got two aiolis and have been using them on sandwiches!

My grandson loved the apple picking My daughter and I both got a chocolate truffle and they are fantastic! Large and about 40 flavors She had wedding cake and I chose dark chocolate lemon filling We bought a pumpkin for my grandson, Dan chose it and Caden approved Very fun outing!
Got my annual pumpkin! Had a cider slushee and picked apples too. This is such a fun market/farm to browse. I could spend easily 45 minutes browsing the shelves inside. Definitely could find unique gifts for everyone - Beautiful chocolates, unique kitchenware and a multitude of sauces and hot sauces. They offer honey tasting as well! There's a case with cold drinks but you shouldn't miss the cider slushee. They can mix it with pomegranate juice too. Nice on a hot day. The apple orchard is a nice place to get in some steps. The kids play area is great for little ones. Lots of pretend areas for creative play. Goats are cute and personable. Or just interested in snacks! A great day spent with a friend and my pumpkin looks great in my flower cart! Don't pass up this place on your visit to wine country. Cheers.
If you're traveling between Paso Robles and Cambria this is a cute stop for local honey, jams and fudge. It's a small shop and while masks are required, there didn't seem to be a limit on the number of customers in the shop-personally that made me uncomfortable so I waited a bit before entering and didn't spend as much as time browsing as I would have liked to. The staff has masks on and there are plastic barriers by the register so that was a plus. I ended up purchasing some locally made lavender honey (my favorite flavor.) The grounds have a cute children's play area that is $1 per person and some vintage farm equipment. On the day I was visiting I didn't see any farm animals out so didn't stay long. It's a nice scenic drive and something new to do in the area that I haven't done yet. Check their hours on their website since they do vary by seasons.
We had the best time here! We found this farm on yelp. We called to make sure it was open on a holiday weekend and they would do honey tasting. The person on the phone was so nice, friendly, and professional. We decided to do the honey tasting and we learned so much about honey. They had a great selection and we couldn't resist but to bring some back home. We definitely loved our experience and would recommend this farm to groups of all ages. They are a u pick farm and had persimmons in season. Additionally, there is a petting zoo and a kids playground.
We came out here for the pre order cut Christmas tress. Even though the big ones were all spoken for we found a cute Charlie Brown Christmas tree! They were having a huge sale on fall items and not to mention seeing the bunnies, goats and birds! They even have so much inside the shop for sale! It's a must visit! We can't wait to go get our tree and do some more shopping!!
My 4 year old loved this place. Everything was so cute. A lovely way to spend the afternoon with your little kid. We had to drag him out of the corn bin! Definitely recommend.

I stumbled across Jack Creek Farms while driving from Paso Robles to Cambria, and I am so glad I stopped. It's a family owned gift shop and farm, and it is truly so charming. When I visited in October they had tons of pumpkins and fall items on display. Inside of the shop they have an assortment of honeys, and even offer honey tastings! They had many unique culinary items like flavored salts, spices, olive oils, etc. And they also had some beautiful chocolate truffles. I left with gifts for many of my loved ones and also some for myself. I wish I lived closer to this shop! I'd be in all of the time. read more
I have visited this place a couple times now with friends and family and there's always something fun there to do or pick up as a gift. We pick apples there. It's a fun experience and we usually make a whole bunch of pies for the holidays. They have some animals for the kids to visit and learn about. They also have some very nice yard art which when it's on sale - is an amazing buy. I bought two decorative yard windmills and they both look great. And they have some amazing sauces and other sundry items in there - I particularly like the barbecue sauces. They are definitely worth checking out a couple times a year no matter what. read more

Jack Creek Farms is such a quaint place it really makes you feel at home and once you enter their doors and get welcomed with that good ol' fashioned hospitality you won't want to leave this stand is located right off of Highway 46 West, in the heart of San Luis Obispo County wine country. If you are planning to visit a winery/ires ti go wine tasting STOP HERE FIRST! They offer so many options from crackers, different jams and jellies and depending on the season you can even pick your own fruits, or veggies! They will give you so many suggestions , they'll definitely help make your experience at wine country sooo much enjoyable! It's also kid friendly ! If you are in the area , stopping here is a must. They offer honey tasting along with education, shopping , animals, pumpkins, snacks, and they have persimmon trees to pick your own treats. I personally enjoyed learning about the honey and the bees. I also liked being able to pet the animals. We were on the road for hours, so this was a nice pit stop to stretch and take pictures. Plenty of parking and fun for all ages. Highly recommend! read more
This is a must visit when traveling on Highway 46. Not only do they have lots of cool items to purchase the property itself is fun to relax and unwind while strolling around. There's tons of cats everywhere and lots of farm animals to check out. Inside the store there all sorts of local items such as spice rubs, cheeses, salami, dips, honey, gelato, oils, vinegars, garden items, flags, knickknacks and much much more. On the way up to Paso Robles we stopped in here and purchased several things. On the way back we stopped in again and got some gelato to eat. They have picnic bench outside in the shade where you can eat your purchase. The strawberry white chocolate gelato was fantastic as was the olallieberry cheesecake gelato!. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is they had huge signs on hwy 46 saying "Frozen cider!" So we stopped to have some just to be told they didn't have any. Maybe they should remove the sign! They also advertise free honey tasting but when another customer asked about it they seemed confused about it. Fun place, check it out! Very friendly staff. read more

This is a must stop if passing through. My 5 year old enjoyed walking through the cute playground area. They have a few chickens, rabbits, and goats too. The little shop is another reason why you should stop here. The handmade chocolates are delicious and would be a great pair with some of the local wine- if you happen to be doing wine tasting in the area. I even went in twice to buy more dark raspberry ones. I believe they are opened only Friday-Sunday...might want to check the hrs. We went during mid December and I can't wait to go again. read more

This place is awesome! My youngest needed a bathroom break on our way up north and this farm just happened to be in the perfect spot at the moment. We could not have stopped at a more family friendly farm. We were so warmly greeted when we walked into the store. They told us to go check out their new baby ducks and goats! We took the kids around the farm a bit and returned to the store to try out some goodies. Just about everything in the store was available to taste. We tried out jellies, honey and their homemade apple slushy. Everything was delicious. We purchased a bunch of stuff to bring home and enjoyed some refreshing slushies for the road. Definitely do not miss this place if you're in the area!!! read more
The people working here are so nice. The store has so many delicious things to sample, eat on the grounds, and take home. U-pick apples, cucumbers, and tomatoes. Beautiful pumpkins with varieties I've never seen elsewhere. A lot of nice activities for 8 and under. Older kids will still find a few fun things to do but they won't be wowed like the younger kids. This farm is also known for its cider slushies. read more

This farm is amazing!! We went here with our daughter and she loved it! We could easily spend the whole day here hanging out in the playhouses, eating ice cream, and drinking pomegranate cider slushees! If you have young kids and you only stop at one place along the coast, this is a must! The family is super nice too :) read more

I was at a nearby winery and decided to check this place out. It's a nice little store to pick up lunch (pre-made sandwiches) or a cold beverage (unique sodas and homemade cider) or a treat. The exterior is deceiving - behind the large old-time facade is a small country store. But the exterior is fun for photo-taking and there are a few seats and a picnic table if you want to relax and eat lunch outdoors. In addition to what I already stated they also sell kitchen knickknacks, candies. chocolates and - their specialty - honey. They have a variety of different types of honey and offer tastings. Certain produce and pumpkins are sold when they are in season. I ended up purchasing a lime soda and some individual chocolates (chocolate caramel and chocolate raspberry) which were far too pricey but really good. read more

This is such a cute and fun place to go! We spent hours here. Apple picking was so fun, they had a few different varieties to choose from which was awesome. The trees were very well maintained and the fruit was delicious. The cider slushees and the chocolate truffles were amazing! The little shop they have was a blast to peruse through. So much to look at, I think I did three rounds to make sure I didn't miss anything. I bought way too many things but don't regret a single one. Oh and the honey tasting!! Who knew that honey could taste so different! (Maybe everyone knew? But not me!) Not to mention the family who owns the farm is so sweet and hospitable, they made the experience really special. read more
As you are speeding down Hwy 46, between the coast and Templeton/Paso Robles area, look towards the north for this roadside attraction and fruit stand. Also, look out for the Highway Patrol. This is one major speed trap on the 46. It is easy for the CHP to make their quota and ruin your perfect day. You will see a cute kiddie-attractive facade of buildings that look like a little western cowboy town. There were a family of kittens stealing the show outside, bouncing in and out of the decorations and flowers. Inside is a fun, cutsie gift shop, some fresh local fruits and veggies, fudge, homebaked pies, apple cider, jams, and honey. You can find all kinds of cute kitchen wares, aprons and kitchen towels. They will happily share tastes of their honeys, vinegars, fruit slushies. Their vinegars are unique. A blackberry balsamic and a extraordinary spiced vinegar came home with us and are simply delicious. It looks like they have a "pick your own" farm. We saw a family coming back down a dusty road with a basket of whatever was in season. And a small corral with animals to pet and things for kids to climb for that picture perfect moment. They have seasonal events/attractions for the whole family. Bathrooms consist of a couple of portables out back. Clean and odor free. Plenty of parking. read more

Lovely family-owned business! The granita swirl provided a refreshing break from the heat and the displays inside and outside the store were charming. Hope to go back soon to pick our own heirloom tomatoes and apples! read more
