For my parting salvo, even though I had been relieved of a certain amount of Pounds (sterling) for the services that I had requested, more importantly however, I exited the premises with a great feeling of satisfaction. I went there today (4th December) to get some stacks and was greeted by a very helpful and cheerful lady called Esther. She was able to assist me with questions to see if I could save time on queuing. She helped explain the self service areas where she showed me what to do to buy stamps. She was knowledgeable, very pleasant and such a breath of fresh air with her cheerful and care for the customer. Have never had anything but a prompt and efficient service from the amazing hard working staff team who are there under very challenging circumstances but always conduct themselves in a professional manner with humour and great competence. Went to Kensington High street Post office to renew our expired passport today 10am 10/07/24. We were served by a gentileman (name Badge was Harinder). Harinder considered our age and explained the cons and pros of the application system and chose the safest system to apply and receive. He was very knowledeable in that field. He also advised us not to travel with out a travel insurance, and to my wife about a life insurance for six pounds. We were very happy with the service. It's spacious, clean and bright, with a reasonably sized sales area selling stationery items - the queue goes through it, so you can browse while you are waiting. Service is pretty reasonable - the queues here don't seem too bad, and move fairly quickly, and the staff are generally friendly. Christmas is the exception though, when you may have to wait 15 minutes. It's always better first thing in the morning. Services include everything you'd expect from a large branch - Royal Mail, Licences, Bureau de Change, Insurance and various other offers from the Post Office (though these are mostly available online too). There's a bus stop just outside with a wide range of services.
