The job was pretty big and more than I could handle alone. They did trample a small Lime tree but I'll still give them 5 stars, as long as they replace the tree! Rogelio gave me a fair quote, I got two other quotes that were higher. He actually underestimated the height of the fence in his bid. But he is a man of his word and did not charge extra for his mistake. That's good service and shows he is a man of his word. His crew of 5 guys came in and got to work right away. They were very careful not to trample any plants or anything else for that matter. They discovered a few problems due to some questionable jobs other homeowners did 30 or more years ago. They took it all in stride, fixed the problems and found solutions that worked well. All of the crew were very polite and hard working. It was like having a bee hive buzzing through the yard. Pretty impressive!!! One thing cracked me up. Rogelio brought a microwave in so his crew could heat up their lunch. That's pretty smart and considerate of him. I suggested he get a small refrigerated for cold drinks. It was 90 plus the day they put the fence in. So yes I would highly recommend his company for remodeling jobs. We ended with Victor after reviewing more than 5 proposals to do the same work (full kitchen remodelling + baths), we decided to go with him because he claimed he was able to master a broad range of tasks: from plumbing to installing floors, build new walls, etc. We couldn't be more happy with the outcome. During this one month and a half, Victor performed the required demolitions in our house (taking care of the hauling as well), re-work all the electrical & plumbing (cap off several pipes, fix a a couple of wrongly installed hot water pipes, and route the new plumbing for our kitchen). He installed new electrical (both 120v and 240v for our new kitchen), and performed all the floor removal and floor installation in the kitchen. He removed completely the previous kitchen and assembly and installed the new one. He replace all the toilets and cabinets in the baths as well, including the plumbing of two of them. Victor is really skilled in a variety of topics, but he is definitely as master of painting; he re-painted all our walls/baths and the exterior deck with an outstanding result. We was able to patch multiple holes in our house and get exactly the same texture as the other walls. We highly recommended Victor, specially if you prefer to lead with one single person than with multiple contractors, his prices are fair and he delivers quality work. The thing we appreciated the most was his honesty with the estimates and required work, we never got the feeling that he is trying to get any extra cash if it wasn't really required. It was a pleasure to have him work on my house (and that's not always the case). He doesn't waste time, gets the job done and he's clean - cleaned up every day after he finished. When I contacted him later on that evening to reschedule another visit, he stated that his vehicle was not working and had to wait a couple of days until he could return. My wife really needed these tasks to be done, and it seemed as if John was making excuses. Regardless, we called another electrician to finish the job. What worked he managed to complete are all top notch quality work, but in the end, the job did not get completed. ---------------- During this COVID-19 quarantine, I went into panic mode when my outlets in my dining room and kitchen went out, as well as our front porch light and driveway light - all within 24-hours of each other. Yelp enabled me to send a request to different electricians in my area. John was the first to reply, so I chose him. I am glad I did. We set up up an appointment for the next day in the morning. Promptly at the scheduled time, John stopped by, dressed in his face mask and toolkit belt! Immediately he checked for circuit breaker outlets in the kitchen - one was hidden away behind some kitchen appliances. He reset the GFCI and my slave outlets had power again. A simple fix to be sure, but for this layperson, I learned something new. Next we're the front porch and driveway lights, which had both gone out at the same time. John spent time taking off the fixtures and testing wires. He commented on the age of the original fixtures. One of them had a burnt wire, which possibly was due to improper wiring. The other fixture had a timer switch that stopped working. Long story short, John told me to get newer fixtures, as the age of these were part of the problem. And one had some extra wires that didn't seem to be of any use and he moved these aside to not be used. He offered to come back to install them once I purchased some new ones (and I may take him up on his offer. After about an hour's time later he packed up. When I asked him about payment, he just said gas money would be fine, since he "really didn't do anything here." I just stood there dumbfounded! I gave him a 20 and he called it a day. Wow! It is comforting to know that there exist people in this world that won't take advantage of you in times of crisis. Yep, dumb! 1) he is super personable and as honest as can be 2) his going rate cannot be beat 3) his workmanship and attention to detail is impeccable We had to pull an old, moldy cabinet out of our master bathroom, which also meant pulling out the mirror, fixing plumbing issues, and......once the cabinet was out, it now included laying new tile as well. Sergio came over to do the prep work on Friday night for a couple hours, then was going to finish up the next day on Saturday; however, the tile needed to dry a bit longer and the paint also needed more time to dry, so he scheduled time with us on Sunday to do it instead. Sunday, being EASTER SUNDAY!!! Yep, he committed to this job and was going to finish it no matter the day. So he came over at 8am on Easter, we installed the cabinet, the vanity, the sink, the fixtures, etc and he escaped just in time for sunday services with his family. Honestly, this is a guy you can rely on and you can trust. If you don't give Sergio a shot, you'll kick yourself later.
