The owner, Gabby, was at work carving into a wooden block. Friendly and personable, she assured me with pride that she created the pieces herself. She speaks 4 languages so do come in and admire her work. Inside is filled with her amazing craft. Detailed masks, cuckoo clocks, animal carvings, spatulas, there's something for everyone here. I wish I had more room in my luggage to buy something more substantial.

We decided to return the following week but they were closed again. I had to search for their phone number and the owner was very pleasant on the phone. She said she would hold the pillow case for me and added they don't open every day. I finally made it back and she had kept my case on the side. I bought it and still love it twelve years later!! My husband always says this was the most expensive pillow case because of the multiple trips we made to Mürren

There were goats and cows everywhere and they even came by for pets. Then, I see a Volkswagen dealership and Rugenbrau in the middle of the countryside. I walk in to see what it is and it happens to be a brewery which I thought sounded familiar because it was a new beer I tried from the CO-OP supermarket the night before. Inside, not only did they have their brewed beer, but they making everything from whiskey to gin and wine and champagne, they make it all. GET THE BEER TASTING and if you can take more, try the SPIRITS TASTING as well. It was an amazing tasting experience. There was 1 server and she could understand English if you talk slowly and clearly. The beers are all made from maize or corn because that is prevalent in the area, you won't find much wheat beer etc. Not only was the beer and spirits tasting pack with amazing flavor, but the price was to die for. I ended up buying a small bottle of their gin and whiskey because it tasted so great. THEY USE GLACIER WATER from the mountains to make all their products which is cool also. They also do brewery tours at 4PM and they open up their cafe/restaurant during the brewery tours. We came early because we didn't even know about this brewery haha. They gladly gave us personal tasting menus, but we were too early for the brewery tour. When I paid for everything, the lady gave me a free keychain and landyard!
