Yes this is a repost of a review from a year ago that Liptak had responded too and then somehow my review removed so I am reposing it. - just as then Liptak is now lying in their response. They were called for flooding related to burst pipes on my fathers estate following his death less than a month prior. We were waiting for an insurance claim. 3 times their crew showed up and did absolutely nothing but make excuses of why they couldn't start work. We were initially told there was no deposit required, and that if the insurance claim didn't cover the work they had payment plans - then this became needing a credit card to place on file before even starting work. Pods and dumpsters they were to drop off the day after calling never showed up, and of course they had excuses for that. No written estimate was ever provided even though it was asked for 3 times. By the time I fired them to find another company my possessions had already been sitting in water for 5 days and more was wrecked than should have been. Horribly unprofessional and unethical. The crew even made inappropriate "jokes" about the damages and loss in my home. On another review site this company's reply claimed I said I had no money and couldn't pay and claim that we never talked about financing until after they showed up, and I refused to sign a contract - they were told over the phone that it was an insurance claim and the details of the claim and stated they had financing plans then - a financing plan is not me having my own credit card or providing them with a blank check. From their first visit to their second the assessment of damages and projected cost went from "This shouldn't be too bad" to "this could run thousands". They were repeatedly asked for an estimate, something any reputable and proffessional company would have readily provided, yet one never materialized - they kept pushing for a blank check or a credit card number so they could just charge whatever they felt like. I stand behind my review emphatically and will now add this a crooked and deceptive company who will resort to trying to mud sling against negative reviewers in hopes of getting them to pull their reviews or back down. They will use underhanded tactics to get reviews taken down or revoked. Be weary if you call this company, they are out to rip you off. The paperwork the owner claims I never signed had nothing to do with the insurance or the work order - and I stated many times I wanted an estimate which actually is an industry standard practice that Liptak failed to follow through on repeatedly - do not be fooled by the owners lies or distortions. Events did not happen the way he claims. 5 days of runaround while water soaked in to the property in the basement! 5 Days! The plumbing and heating company got right to work but these jokers didn't. read more

I was away on vacation and my son stopped at my home to find a flood in my basement. I called Liptak Restoration and they were there to help in an hour. They walked us through everything over the phone they were so helpful! My son was only there for the day and they had to set up fans etc.. to dry it out. It was going to be at least a 3 to 4 day process to get everything cleaned up. They said it wouldn't be a problem and that they would put a lock box on our house and when we returned we could return the lock box to them. I was dreading what the basement was going to look like when I got home and to my surprise it looked fantastic they put it all back together like nothing ever happened! The price was very reasonable and the whole process was done very professionally I would definitely use them again in a heartbeat! We had a water pipe to our furnace burst in the basement while we were at work. Water flooded our basement and caused a great deal of damage to both the utility room and the playroom. When our basement was flooded because of a sewer backup, the plumber recommended we contact Liptak. In fact he called them for me. They responded quickly arriving while the plumber was still here and proceeded to clean out contaminated cardboard boxes and other items. I was not aware that the sewage had seeped to the finished side of the basement but they discovered an 8' x 12' area rug and two sheets of panelling which were soaked with sewage. They left our basement cleaner than when they arrived. They managed to turn a disaster into a manageable experience. read more

I called in a panic as my basement was accumulating water due to a cracked hose in the water filter. Liptak promptly sent out a crew to evaluate and set up equipment to dry my basement. We have been shampooing our own carpets for 13 years with pretty good results --- except for a stairs going to our basement req room. Some one suggest we give Liptak a try. Cory Liptak looked at our carpets and found that we had built up residue from our shampooing and that he could help. Well the results are amazing. Their process involves using 240 degree steam which is immediately vacuumed up.. Our carpets went from a tan back to their original color. This true all over the house.
