The staff is all extremely friendly. Anna at the front desk was extremely friendly, and explained all my responsibilities immediately. She put me at ease letting me know my timeline, what my costs would be and what my experience would be like. Billing was always consistent and fair, and they even let you run a balance if you can't afford to pay every time. I appreciated their flexibility when it came to that considering how tight money can be when dealing with a DUI. My counselor Bobby was fantastic. He was always straight forward and kind. I found he was able to really help me get to to the root of my problems so we could deal with what was really going on. I look forward to every visit and know I will be treated with dignity and realistically. (The competition preaches a lifetime of sobriety, which isn't necessarily the answer for every person, every time, and I appreciated that.) I feel like they dealt with me as an individual, and not as just "another drunk driver." The group meetings were also productive. The leader was friendly and gently encouraged participation without making you feel overly exposed. We had discussions but also watched videos or had other activities. And BONUS: THEY FEED YOU FOR EVERY GROUP SESSION. Seriously, how awesome is that?! Everyone can use a little pizza in their lives, Especially when discussing your problems. So great to have a community clinic in C-town!…read more The hours vary day-day so it is a good idea to make an appointment, you pay in an envelope prior to treatment and can book your next appointment at the same time in the schedule book, eliminating any distractions after your treatments. Because of the sliding scale payment system($15-30) you can afford to have multiple treatments, as is usually necessary with acupuncture. Bashful beware.... it is a community clinic and you are treated in the same room as other patients! However; you are only treated on your arms, legs and head; so there is no body exposure which also makes the needling quite quick. It's a quiet relaxing atmosphere with several recliners, with blankets & pillows available, to relax in during your treatments, there is eucalyptus in the air and soothing background music/sounds. This soothing atmosphere(and the soothing nature of acupuncture) also makes most being treated fall asleep:) and you can rest as long as you need. I usually bring my own blanket and pillow, and ear plugs are advised if you are sensitive to noise/snoring around you during sleep/relaxation periods. If you have a specific time you need to be done just make a mention before your left to rest and you will be woken in time... so considerate! All around a great place if you are already an acupuncture fan, and a great resource if your just curious about the benefits! Highly recommend checking it out!!
