If I lived closer out this way...it would really be a toss up whether I would go to Total Wine or this Liquor Barn for my imbibing needs. As it stands, this Liquor Barn is across the parking lot from the Tinseltown movie theater. We have stopped in several times before a movie showing to browse or grab something to bring home after. Primarily on those visits, I have stuck to the wine aisles or the bourbon. This last visit, we ventured in to the beer aisles. And y'all...I was convinced that nothing could beat Old Town or the Beer Store for beer selections. But Liquor Barn could certainly throw their hat in to that ring of competition! Color me surprised! We stopped in after our anniversary dinner and the Fella wanted to poke around. I am not lying when I say I could have spent $100 on beer alone that night (if I had an extra hunnit bucks to spend on fancy beer...). And not cheap-o beer....but like, 8 bottles tops of interesting and tasty sounding beer I have never seen before! What a lovely find! In any case, I left with three bottles of more mid-ranged beers, price-wise. And I am excited to try them! They some times have in-store tastings, as well. One visit saw them with three or four different tastings, sometimes just one set up near the entrance. I think these generally happen around the 7:00 hour, should you be interested. It is certainly worth a visit, whether you are looking for something specific or are browsing and looking for something new to try!

Went here for grand opening. Several good samples of coffee, tequila, and wine. Went to beer bar, had trouble getting the bartenders attention even though he was not very busy. Finally got served, and tasted a couple of great beers. Great selection of liquors, and specialty beers. Not the biggest beer cave, rather unimpressed with that but a better building overall than their last one (which was waaaaay too big)

    Try before you buy :)

This unassuming strip mall liquor store packs some punch. Not only are they fully stocked on all things booze, but they have extras that make your trip a complete experience. Like tonight's personal favorite, the beer sample bar (bring your own 64 oz 'growler' container and bring home your choice of specialty tap beer hard to find at your local watering hole). Complement that perk with several aisles of specialty foodie fare/bar food (beer cheese, anyone? and don't get me started on the burgoo...). To round out your experience, Liquor Barn is taking their tag line "the Ultimate Smoke Shop' seriously with a full-variety humador. And because they are the local party destination, be sure to consider a pinata, tassles (I kid you not) or St Pat's novelty beer goggles on your way out to ensure fun times will be had. The most endearing element of this spot for this mom-of-one? Kids can come in with adult supervision. This ups the possibility that you will be walking out with that Darth Vader pinata (go ahead, ask me if I'm staring at one on my couch as a write this. I dare you.) but it's marginally more politically correct than leaving the kid in the car ;).

My husband and I randomly came to this store since we were passing through to go to the bourbon trail. It must have been his lucky day because he saw the whisky that he had been looking for over 2 years right when we entered the building. He was grinning from ear to ear because he could not believe his own eyes! We walked over to the tasting area and had to sample the Hibiki 12 Year and Yamazaki 12 Year. The tasting for each was $5.99. Such a great deal because these bottles go for over a couple hundred dollars online! The Yamazaki is so good and goes down so smoothly. I am not a whisky drinker at all but this one was amazing! I now understand what the hype is all about! Liquor Barn carried both of these whiskys, so of course, my husband had to snag a couple bottles of these before leaving. The prices for these 2 bottles were unbelievably great because they did not mark them up as much as we thought they would be! My husband was such a happy camper! He was like a little kid at a candy store. I had to yank him out before he kept on buying! LOL Aside from this, the store has a great selection of wines, beers, and of course whisky and bourbon! Ask for Ray at the store! He is incredibly nice and knows so much about his spirits. He knows a lot about the products that he carries! We will definitely be making a stop here the next time we visit!

I recently worked the Chocolate Takeover event at this Liquor Barn location and I am definitely a fan. They have a great selection and seem to host fun events on a regular basis. The store is clean and organized, and I think shopping here would be quick and easy. The staff was super friendly! They were very helpful throughout the event and they helped me personally when I needed a place to change my t-shirt. This location is comparable to other Liquor Barn locations I have visited, so I wouldn't recommend driving out to this one specifically if you have something closer to you; but, if you're in the area and need to shop for beverages, party supplies, or gifts I would definitely recommend this Liquor Barn.

This a great store to get that hard to find product that you might be looking for. They have an unbelievable selection of beers and you can buy singles of various kinds to try to see if you like or not. Their wine selection is also very good and it is one of the few places that we can find the box wine we enjoy. They also carry a nice selection of the new "moonshine" that we enjoy called Sugar Shine. Just delicious. They also have a full selection of snacks and party needs so it can be your one stop shop

I've been going there for years. The employees and manager have always been rude. Kicking people out for no reason.

Everyone here is amazing. Especially Alex who recommended the wines and bourbons. And told us about the wine class.

The new location is straight up a cheap RIP off of total wine and more with even higher prices than the old location. I'll never return.

From the moment we walked in just an amazing experience. We were part of a surprise party of 6 and…read morethe staff knew it. They created our birthday girl as a reservation for 2 instead of 6 and helped us surprise her at the table. The lighting is a bit dark but that helped the surprise. The manager brought out a sparkling wine and the chef sent out an amuse bouche. The pimento spread was so good we took a pint home for $20 (shhh secret). Our waitress Mo was professional a helpful with meal suggestions and separating some mushrooms for me. The shrimp appetizer is delicious and had 9 shrimp. The corn fitters come in 4 and Mo added 2. They were okay but I'd try something different in the future. The whole large kernels were odd in a light fritter. Our meals were fantastic. Everyone raved about bites of the filet and the chicken dish. The bolognese is a staple in the menu and was almost the perfect bite, perhaps a bit more meat in the sauce but the pasta was perfect. I had the wild boar and goat cheese polenta. The polenta didn't have a strong goatyness to it but was creamy, I ate it all. The boar was done to just short of falling off the bone. I used a piece of the grilled bread from my friends pasta to finish the meal. The wine list is short but complex. We had the Rioja red, so dry and smelled of old leather, but was a perfect wine to cut through the richness of the dishes. Our seat had a great view of the whiskey wall (almost every seat does) and it was a conversation piece the whole evening. Oh, forgot to mention the manhattan can be made into a black manhattan- outstanding. Best I've had in a restaurant. We are already making plans for our parties next birthday in July and will be asking for Mo. she was there at every turn throughout the meal. Pleasant and there to help at any point. The manager checked on us two times. WHP does fine dining so well. I haven't had such a wonderful evening for everyone in quite some time. We will be back and highly recommend. Will be sending out an executive's here when they are looking for L'ville dining. Well done. Sorry no pics, the room is dark and the ones I took don't do the meal justice.

Food 2.5/5: This obviously carries the most weight. The menu itself is excellent and the descriptions and components of each dish sound perfect. The execution was way off! Literally everything was far too salty and we ordered things that should not be salty... diver scallops and black cod. These are delicate proteins that don't need much help. Why oh why over-salt these?! Oddly the cook on both was very good but the seasoning ruined both dishes. Drinks 4.5/5: We had 3 different cocktails all of which were excellent.
