The staff was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The cocktails were excellent, and one of my favorite things was the large tables they're perfect for sitting back, playing cards, and spending quality time together while enjoying the atmosphere. So I have been here twice now, but have yet to try their bourbon. Next time I will for sure, but what I love about them are the spice and sauce options they have! I discovered this place a year ago with my friend and we bought their spice sampler packs, teriyaki sauce, and bourbon infused chocolate sauce and when I say they're incredible...I mean they're incredible. We came here for a hosted event and had a great time. I loved the building that it is located in, an old timey brick structure in the heart of downtown. The inside has super high ceilings and they made the space modern, with lots of bottles on display and back lighting. The space can hold a lot of people and had different types of seating. The menu had lots of good cocktail options with bourbon as the main ingredient of course. The event I was there for also had food and that was good as well. The service was excellent and they were great at explaining things as I am not a bourbon guy. I would recommend this place for any occasion! read more

I can't be more complimentary of our "tour guide" in the downtown location. This was our first tasting on our bourbon trip and the young woman that guided us through the tasting was VERY knowledgable - which gave our the group the best knowledge base/foundation for our whole trip at other distilleries. This place was last on our impromptu "urban bourbon " tour before getting dinner and heading home. It looks luxurious from the sidewalk and only gets better from there. Light, bright, spacious and vibrant, but the one downside was the bar had limited seating, and it was full. There were open tables, but not the same feel/ interaction with the bartender/ staff, and even other patrons, which to be honest is part of the experience. I am not into bourbon, and am currently not drinking much as I was recently ill, but my husband is the bourbon connoisseur and this was the fourth distillery of the day... He got one of their signature bourbons upon recommendation of the bartender, Inbond Bourbon, black label, and found it to be smooth, flavorful and with a nice, mild aftertaste, so he added another bottle to his collection. He also tried the top bourbon, white label, but not to his preference. Both bottles are well priced, $59/ bottle, for a bourbon of this caliber that usually goes for over $100. Lots of merchandise here, a "fuzzy " wall, and beautiful cut glass mirror frames in the ladies room. Special recognition to MITCH who was friendly, personable, knowledgeable and a great asset to this company. You've certainly made your mother proud!! read more

Stopped in here while exploring the area. We only had drinks at the bar but we were impressed by their menu. I chose the Kiss From A Rose and was obsessed with the orange rose. It almost seemed to bloom as the ice around the orange melted. The drink also sparkled, so sign me up. My friend did a bourbon flight and liked several of the options. They had a couple of special bourbons that you could add on as well. Service was impeccable and quick. Only down side was the seating was a bit tight at the bar. Have been to the flagship in Bardstown, but this was my first visit to this location. My husband and I were checking out whiskey row and this bourbon is one of his favorites since he picked up a signed bottle of their first wheated release. I am not a bourbon fan, and they have a full bar but the bartender talked me into a special crafted cocktail to which I still don't know what it was called. As a non bourbon fan, it was still good. He had the Rye and Shine, which he was thoroughly impressed and said was one of the better cocktails he's ever had. Service was excellent. Cool vibes. Amazing decor, great location, top notch staff. We were exploring Main Street and wandered into Bardstown Bourbon tasting room. We really enjoy the modern aesthetic of this bourbon company. They advertise themselves and market themselves as the modern bourbon and it's completely understandable why. From the stylish set up to the elevated look and feel of their bar area, it truly does bring modernness to bourbon. They were doing a flight special for $35 , five of their premium spirits, two of which you could only find in that location. We had never tried Bardstown before, but found that we really enjoyed their bourbon, especially the small batch stave finish. We ended up purchasing a bottle to tale with is ($65). read more

Found this place by accident, and it was certainly a hidden gem. This was close to one of my favorite spots while downtown. Very nice atmosphere, bright, classy look they had a really good vibe going on. We lucked into a table back in the corner. The place was pretty packed, so there were lines to get a drink. We had three of their specialties, Luck Be a Lady, Porchside Paradise and Strawberry Fields. All three were good, but the Porchside was my favorite, I may have had more than one of those. The bartender was very friendly and amidst the chaos had time to tell a little backstory about how each drink originated. I also liked how they presented the product, well stocked and organized, and all backlit to create a very pleasurable buying experience. Will be one of my "must hit" spots when in town! read more

A lovely experience. We were greeted at the door and told about 3 new, limited bottling. The space is amazing. Very beautiful. The staff was very helpful. After poking around, we went to the bar and tried a few. We settled on the Japanese oak limited bottling next time we go to Louisville we will make the trek to their distillery. We visited Bardstown a few weeks ago on our trip to Louisville and we just stumbled upon it on Whiskey Row as we didn't know that they had opened a site in downtown Louisville. The modern atmosphere was shocking to the senses after visiting older distilleries in the area and it definitely feels like the Apple Store version of a bourbon distillery. The place was very busy, but we had good service overall and the drinks were pretty good; it was my first time trying their bourbon and it was decent, but not worth $150/bottle for the pour I got (my wife really enjoyed her old fashioned though). I would recommend that they make sure that the tasting room has ample air conditioning as it was a warm November day and we left quickly as it was just too hot inside. read more

This was our first time visiting the Louisville tasting room and we had an amazing time! We arrived a little early for our blending course and had a few pours in mind that we had been waiting to try. While my husband was waiting to order at the bar, someone suggested the Romance Reserve SB and even threw it on his tab. It was unanimously our favorite. The manager stopped by to welcome us too! The blending course was great. This is one of the few "tours" in the area that takes it to the next level and offers something a lot of the others don't...goes along beautifully with their transparency beliefs. We had to run to another tasting and obviously grabbed the Romance Reserve and a couple others on the way out. We found out the man at the bar was one of the Bardstown sales reps/managers and we would've thanked him for the recommendation if we weren't already running late! So if he sees this, thank you!!! We even came home and did our own Bardstown flight to make sure we weren't a little too tipsy when we tried it the first time, and NOPE...still an amazing pour. Grab it if you ever see it. The ambience is similar to the distillery; clean, modern, bright. The only disappointment with the visit was that we didn't have more time. The blending class is advertised as a 30 minute class but it should probably be updated to show an hour. We had a great time in the class and the pace was perfect, but for those of us who are packing in as much as we can while we're on Whiskey Row, it would've been better to know that it takes a little bit longer than advertised. Again, nothing wrong with the class, just providing some extra info for those who might have multiple tastings/tours back to back. P.S. Don't ever stop making Romance Reserve. Kudos to whoever came up with that one. read more

We stopped in to check out the opening of the BBC. Beautifully done interior. The drinks we had at the bar were excellent. I believe just about every staff person there stopped and spoke to us, to see how we we're doing and if we needed anything at all.
