However, they left me more disappointed at the state of service. The cashier didn't understand the basic functions of the register and discount card. I would like to give grace and assume she was new, but it was the same cashier as last time. Despite explaining to her why the discount should be applied, she acted as if I was doing her a disservice by me asking for her to look at it again, and then to to have her head cashier verify. Twins is looking more attractive after every visit.

Between my poor brain recalling correct pins across multiple accounts and one ratty debit card whose replacement I'm awaiting, the cashier was a patient kind soul throughout my fumbling (my fault!) transaction. She offered a box for my purchase for which I was grateful. Mr. R came back later that evening for gin and soda, and enjoyed a smooth experience as usual. They have regular changing sales which are worth watching out for, and an app where you can order local delivery.

I haven't dived in to all the spirit selection, but seems to have all my favorites. If you are like me and live close, drink only the best, but don't want to have to walk through an HEB. Ma liked the idea but downsized it to a pack of cards and a cigar to put in his casket or our flower arrangement, and I said I'd take care of it. I parked on the square and ran in after 5pm to be greeted immediately. I explained the situation and described the kind of guy my uncle was, thinking maybe that would help select something as I have NO idea what his cigar preferences were. The cigar dude listened, then recommended a brand because it has been around a long time and was therefore likely something my uncle had sampled before. I'd have been open to buying some fancy Cuban stick, but he recommended something quite reasonable (under $10) and I liked the idea behind it. Picked up three total so my parents can do both options or share with anyone who expresses an interest. I've enjoyed attentive, knowledgeable customer service on both my visits and will return for any smoking needs in my future.
