When I began telling him what I was looking for, specifically a medium sized wooden box, not necessarily a humidor but something about that size that could be repurposed, he interrupted me without hearing the entire description. "You need to try antique stores," he said impatiently, "this is a RETAIL store." I began to explain that my fiancée and I have been looking in antique stores for some time and that what we are looking for doesn't necessarily have to be an antique, but he just glared at me. Proprietor made it crystal clear that he was uninterested in my business, and his impatience communicated that he didn't appreciate me wasting his time. I debated about asking about the three other items I had seen that I was interested in (chess sets, wine bottle stands, and a bottle of Chimay), but with the sheer unfriendliness of the proprietor and the way he kept glaring at me, I just left. Place has a variety of relatively nice gift items in addition to tobacco, alcohol and related accessories. If the proprietor were friendly I would probably recommend it.

Best liquor store of the two in Moscow…read more Usual suspects liquor wise. Better overall selection related to tequila, whiskey, vodka, bourbon, gin, and liquors. A selection ranging from nine dollar fifths to higher end hundred dollar bottles. Two main registers here. Not a huge store but they are quick to check out patrons. This store does a great job suggesting brands you may like when given an idea of what you like or have purchased before. They also keep the shelves stocked but don't sacrifice register or general floor customer service. On a Friday or Saturday night it'll get busy but otherwise it's generally dead. They also have several coolers with Fireball and Jager cold so that's a plus if you go directly to an event from the store. State store so the hours are not awesome but the prices are fair.

The…read morestate liquor website said this location had twelve bottles--the last in the state!--so we made sure to time our trip to the east side of the state just right so we'd make it here before they closed. And we made it! Only to be informed by the bored/cranky worker that they did not have said bottles, never really did since they were all spoken for before they hit the shelves, and that the website is always wrong. The Christmas decor more than made up for the disappointment. Picture a fake cardboard fireplace pushed against the wall, and curled up in front of it a cozy little porcelain kitty cat. Not at all creepy. Now, I haven't been to too many liquor stores, but this was by far the smallest I've ever seen. Kind of nice, actually, as long you don't need anything specific. You certainly won't have to wait in any lines.
