Parking stinks, prices decent, people friendly. Incredible selection of bourbons but this is the area for bourbon.

Was charged 3x the MSRP for a bottle of Blanton's. Back home went to taste my purchase only to find the seal was carefully cut open. Over charged for mystery bourbon. Shameful. read more

Came down to Bardstown for the KY Bourbon Festival in Sept. Was referred to Liquor World by a local gentleman while drinking in the festival's Spirit Garden. Great selection of KY Bourbons & Ryes. Also of note: they offer custom single barrel bottlings, selected by LW's owners at the distilleries. I bought several 10 yr old Willett Family Estate (current) offerings that were excellent & reasonable in Sept 2011. The custom offering is worth 5 stars alone. I imagine subsequent offerings will be just as great as these guys know their bourbons (Bardstown *is* the ground zero of Bourbon). Additionally, they also own Toddy's Liquors. read more

Liquor World is a great find in Bardstown. The prices are fair and they have an impressive selection. Several of the Bourbon bottles are signed by the various Master Distillers, which is an extra treat if you're a collector. After you spend past a certain dollar threshold, you get a 10% discount on your purchase. Some special items are not subject to the discount, however they do count toward the threshold. read more

This is my regular liquor store. The guys in here know their products well. These are the guys that turned me on to Benchmark bourbon, which has become the table bourbon in our house. This place is the best liquor store in the area. Great selection from beer wine liquor. Awesome store associates. They price things like bourbon even on the high end very reasonably and competitive vs some of the other stores in the area. Seriously check them out before going anywhere else...I was traveling and exploring and laughed at some of the prices I saw and was quoted. Went to liquor world and they had a better selection and prices familiar to most sane people. Nice job guys will be back for sure. read more
