My favorite stop on my way into Northeast to grab a bottle of bourbon or other tasty beverages. As other reviews say, they have a huge offering and the fridges just go on and on and ON! Wow! During pre-vax covid it was the first non-grocery store I visited and was so glad to see their commitment to safety with plexiglass and offered masks at the door. If you're in the mood for a splurge, check out the reserve cabinet at the register. This visit, I got me a special bottle of H.Derringer bourbon ($200). Magnificent bottle with an additional cork, shaped in a pistol replica. And the bourbon is amazing! They even had glassware (since I knew I only had the hotel's in-room plastic water cups waiting for me)! It's not a big box discount retailer and nor would you want it to be. Beware!!!!!!! If you accidentally buy the wrong liquor the WILL NOT let you return it. My sister just bought an expensive bottle of Jack Daniels and within 1/2 hour tried to return it. THEY REFUSED. She was going to buy several other bottles of liquor for her company (she found out right after her purchase he did not drink bourbon) but took her business elsewhere. I will not be using that store ever. State Line is better anyway. read more

The guy that works there wouldn't serve me because I forgot to put my mask on. Then when he said I needed one I kindly put it on because I forgot to pull it up from earlier. So I started to look around and he don't worry about I'm not serving you anyways. Like seriously because I forgot to pull my mask up ?? The old owner used to have a great business: beverages in one side, snacks in the middle, and a nice selection of cook-to-order or prepared foods in the others. He sold the business, presumably for retirement. And it has not been the same place since. They got rid of the hot food and most of the other food choices. It's mainly a beer store now. Prices are so-so for the area. But what bothers me is that the guys working the counter now seem so disinterested in customers. They'll stand and talk to each other as they ring up my stuff. The owner moved a different manager in from his other store, but honestly I don't see things improving. Hate to say it but I'll drive the extra 2 miles to go to another store. Maybe it's just me but I feel like the maintenance has really gone downhill. Their huge steel sign fell over last winter, and it laid on the ground for what seemed like months. When they finally got around to fixing it, they didn't even bother putting their store name on it. It just says "Beer and Liquor" in massive letters. I was excited to see paving trucks there last week, thinking they're finally going to pave the lot - but they seemed to only do a small patch here and there, then leave. Appearance is not so inviting: a million cheapo banner signs all over the front of the building for different beer prices. Maybe with a few more beer banner signs on the front, they won't have to paint the building ever again? This used to be such a great local deli & beverage stop. Best liquor store for miles. Owners and staff are pleasant, super friendly and helpful. Love this stop every time. Been here a million times, time to leave a nice review after the staff offered us homemade cupcakes, they don't even know us!!! Btw they were delicious! Will be back again, thanks for being friendly.
