Last week, I enjoyed visiting on a Sunday, just after the park office had closed. Walked along the trails near the river. In March 2025: * Limited parking on a weekend. First time, there was no parking in front of it nor in the overflow parking area. Glad that I turned around and came back. * Consider sharing a car or taking Lyft or Uber if you can, to save parking spaces for others. * Lot to see and do in the Village and beyond! Great chats to reenactors in the Jerusalem Miller's House, who cooked period-appropriate food. The blacksmith was working hard. * I took the trail south of the Village and west of the river down to Jericho Bridge. The trail was easy to walk, comfortably soft, and dry. North of the road is the Little Gunpowder trail

Depending on the hour you visit, you can visit a number of structure: the Grist Mill (now a visitor's center), the Miller's House, the Blacksmith Forge, Tenant House, McCourtney's General Store, Barn ruins, the Jericho Covered Bridge, and more. We visited on a Saturday afternoon. We walked to the barn ruins and the covered bridge. Then we visited the blacksmith shop (a blacksmith in period clothes gave us a little lessons on blacksmithing) and McCourtney's General Store, which now houses a little museum about Jerusalem Mill. The staff at the General Store were very helpful and friendly and walked us around and pointed out different objects and artifacts. There is a trailhead that starts just near the parking lot on Jerusalem Road that I want to check out next time we're in the area. The Village also hosts different events, like their summer concert series, so it's a great place to get to know. The parking was in the area is very limited (lots of people in the lot park for the trail or to picnic in the meadow behind the blacksmith shop), and the area isn't very organized (stopping by the general store or visitor center first to get an idea of what your options are is probably the best way to tackle it). But it's a really interesting glimpse into Maryland's history and worth a visit if you're in the area or passing through!

One plus hours to get .3 miles up hill from Baltimore Pike to parking entrance - one police officer until PA State trooper showed up with no where to turn around and high tail it out, basically trapped:( Please organize better & get the word out that you have! Didn't get handicap parking when we needed it. So we had to walk a good distance while pushing a wheel chair to get to the entrance. I didn't know they only accepted cash and not card so once I arrived to the ticket stand the lady sitting at the stand told me they had a ATM machine and where to find it but refused to let me use it, which I couldn't understand. When I asked if I could use it to pay for my ticket she literally laughed at me and told me no I could not use their ATM machine and would not tell me why, she then assisted the person behind me in line. Another lady approached me and ended up having a free voucher ticket and gave it to me. I don't have any plans on ever coming back here for any event that is held.

When we arrived at the appointed time, no one was there and the door was locked. We waited in the parking lot for 45 minutes. During this time I called the Manor, the woman who answered was kind but apparently not associated with or employed by Rockfield Manor itself in any way. She said she just takes messages and makes appointments. Not very helpful. I also emailed Kellee with no response. We decided to explore the town and wait for Kellee to email/call/contact us. Finally, at 12:30 we gave up and left the area. At this point I sent Kellee one last email saying that we were leaving and would no longer be considering Rockfield Manor as an option. I received an email from Kellee about a half hour later saying she had tried to send me an email that morning to confirm our appointment but because her phone was broken it failed to send. And because I did not confirm with her failed to send email I guess she decided to just not show up? She did apologize but it seemed cold and not meant whatsoever. Definitely a very frustrating day. I would not recommend Rockfield Manor to anyone as they are clearly poorly managed. I am happy we have decided to go with a different venue.

This was my first time attending this event. We had VIP couple tickets. The VIP area was held in the Manor which l must say is a beautiful place. They had numerous area's set up where you could have wine tasting. They gave you a very large wine glass and tickets for the tasting. They also had all types of appetizers included in the VIP area which included mini hamburgers. Veggie trays, fried oysters, and many more goodies to eat. The majority of the wines were a little on the drier side than what l'm use to but it was durable. Now the Manor itself is a beautiful place with two separate restrooms. Unisex that is which was pleasantly clean which I admire. Also from what I gather you can have weddings at this location as well. So the 3 stars is not for the Manor or the setup of the VIP but the way they had it set up if you wanted to purchase bottles to take home. You actually couldn't do that which l thought was quite odd since that's what we would normally do. Other than that l really enjoyed the festival and l actually purchased two pair of cute earrings. . I must have drunk myself silly and the band was actually a good band playing some upbeat music. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves including meeeee..
