Where does the Z even go? Who knows because I surely don't. This bus terminal has elevators & escalators for anyone that has a disability, carrying luggage or has a stroller in tow. The buses at this terminal consist of the: Q4, Q5, Q6, Q8, Q9 Q20A, Q20B, Q24 Q25 Q30 Q31, Q34, Q41, Q42, Q44, Q54, Q56, Q65, Q83, Q84, Q85, Q110, Q111, Q112, Q113 & the N4. The Q5 is the worst bus to catch. It runs infrequently leaving you waiting at the terminal trying to figure why they've posted a bus schedule if the bus drivers do not adhere to it. The lines are super long so try to be the first 5 people waiting for the bus (& that's for all of the buses at this station especially the Q5 local/limited & the Q85 local/limited). Be careful because if you're in the front of the line you'll see people hanging around to try to blend in to cut in front of you. Although they see a line (long or short) they'll cut just because they are rude with no manners. The elderly ain't no better!!! They think they have the right a way because they're old. Honestly, I could care less. You're suppose to get wiser & be mature as you age. These fools will walk with a cane & then fold it up & run for the bus. They'll even catch an attitude with you if you don't let them cut in front of you. Don't get me wrong if you ask politely I'll let you cut but if you demand it you'll be waiting behind me. Let the person after me allow you to skip.

Usually clean and not too much trash to be found. Not a problem to find a seat either for me anyway. Some have the USB-C outlets to charge your phones. Cons: Takes every 15-20 min to arrive when waiting at the bus stop. So, it eventually evens out in the end. Luckily, there're usually not too many people onboard...at least from the times that I do have to hop on a Q44. Tends to come on time most of the time except for expected delays on the weekends of course. At the end of the day, that's the Q44 for you.

I am no stranger to the New York City area as I have visited here several times in the past…read more However, this was my first time at the "Jamaica LIRR (Long Island Railroad) Station". Located roughly 4 miles north of John F. Kennedy International Airport and in the heart of Queens, this is one of the major transfer points to get into through the city and the neighboring boroughs. After a long (5+ hour) flight into JFK Airport, I took the Jamaica AirTrain (from JFK to the LIRR Station). And this was around 11:30pm Eastern Time. However, once we arrived at the station, I used the MTA (Metropolitan Transit Authority) app that told us exactly where to go. There were even a couple of employees that told us how the payment system works (which was $10 per person as of October 2025). Once we actually arrived to the Jamaica LIRR Station, I must say that this place has a very stark uninviting look to it. Definitely one that I would recommend avoiding during the wee hours of the night. However, there were other "tourists" waiting to connect to Penn Station which all New Yorkers know is in the heart of Manhattan. I only know this since they had several carry-on pieces of luggage as well. The reason for the three stars? This station wreaked of urine and sweat. And if that's not enough, I saw a gentleman urinating directly on the tracks. But the icing on the cake was seeing a big rat crawling on the side of the tracks. Seeing this may make your stomach turn upside down but this is a big metropolitan city and you must expect the unexpected. I am also from a big city (San Francisco) so witnessing this did not gross me out that much. All in all, the "Jamaica LIRR Station" leaves a lot to be desired. But I highly recommend coming here during the commute times or at least before 10:00pm when the vast majority of the general public is already at their destinations. However, the ticket information employee was helpful as well a local that told us exactly which train to take to get to Manhattan. With that said and done, I am giving this subway station just an average three stars.

It's like an adventure and you are venturing to another country, smell the fragrance and aromas of the food being cooked. Every country that is represented and you find enclave of eateries and shops. It's like a mini United Nations on the 7 Train. -The MTA 7 Train will take you to Citi Field for Mets Game. Get off at Willets Point Station. Also Flushing Meadow Park, and US open as well as other events. -Get off at Main Street- Last stop towards Flushing. Chinatown- Lots of food shopping and dining experience. Don't forget the Sky View Mall-You will see segment of the mall as train heads underground toward Main Street. Just a few descriptions of the stations on the 7 train to whet your appetite. The drivers are so much nicer They extended their hours including Saturday and things that break tend to get fixed fairly quickly. They recently added outlets above you in each seat so you're able to charge your phone or tablet. For a few dollars extra you get a much nicer ride then taking the subway.

Holiday time the ride is definitely longer, the ride just took me about 50 mins in the afternoon in July to get to 34th Street and Lexington Avenue. In the mornings, I am sure it is more of a hassle to get to work in the city. Will be more willing to take this into the city or home when I am here in Queens, N.Y., each trip would be different based on the driver and / or super heavy traffic. As of July 2019, they do not seem to take coins as payment anymore so that kind of sucks but just bring your Metrocard with some money on it and enjoy the Stagecoach.

I've rode this line during Hurricane Sandy, 9/11, COVID... it just isn't a seamless operation. I also do not understand why the R can't have some sort of express timetable during rush hour. I can honestly say their scheduled timetable is a nightmare; there are times I've literally waited 30 minutes while a wealth of D and N trains whizz by. T: transportation at its worst. R: read comments above A: Atmosphere while you wait.. well.. this goes for the 95th Street station. As you can see from my pics, wasted space and drabby interior. I: Information. I asked the MTA booth clerk a question and after her explanation my head was spinning like a top N: As in Not for the Faint at heart passenger. I treated the pursuit of Brooklyn sunsets (from Jersey City) with Uber Eats picnics like an Olympic Sport. I found the R reliable, often outclassing flashier but less predictable trains in a kind of tortoise-and-hare situation.
