I was at Elmhust hospital in Queens first and they did not want to operate on me because it was too much of a high risk surgery and they sent me home and hoped for the best. Dr Rochman performed surgery on me at St. Joseph Hospital in Bethpage Long Island, NY, he operated on me three times to save my life and he never gave up on me, even when the hospital decided I should go to hospice, he still insisted I can be saved and he did save my life. Everybody at St. Joseph's who knew about my case will say that Dr. Rochman saved your life and he would not give up on you. They say Dr. Rockman did what other surgeons were scared of doing, he operated on me and even when the recovery was very difficult he knew he could save me and he did it. He operated on me a total of six times, he preformed a jejunostomy proximal, jejunostomy distance, illeonostomy and colostomy, I had four tubes attached to my abdominal are all at once , I was relaly very sick, one by one He closed the ostomies and the las one was the colostomy that took little over a year to be closed. Dr. Rochman didn't even charge for the last two surgeries. This person is the best and kindest and caring human that God has placed on this earth, right now my eye are tearing for the gratitude to him. While several doctors told me facial veins were very tricky to remove, one prominent NYC plastic surgeon gave me Dr. Lee Schulman's name. I called the center that same day, and the receptionist scheduled me in for a Thursday later that month. She was very informative and helpful, explaining how and when insurance might apply and the steps involved in treatment. I was nervous the day of my appointment, but as soon as it met Dr. Schulman and his kind staff, I was out at ease. After discussing my medical history and examining me, Dr. Schulman suggested a treatment plan. I was fully on board. After using charm and wit to put me at ease, Dr. Schulman gently injected the pesky temple veins that had plagued me for years. Within a few minutes they began to disappear. During the same appointment, he also treated my feet and ankles which had developed many unsightly veins after years of running, sports, and working out. The process was virtually painless, it wasn't terrifying, and I was back to my regular routine (and workout!) the very next day. Other than a tiny bruise by my right eye, there were no noticeable signs I'd done anything to my face. Honestly, I couldn't believe how easy the process was - and I wished I'd found Dr. Schulman sooner. Fast forward to two weeks after my second treatment, and I'm now treating the back of my calves and knees. I'll be seeing Dr. Schulman regularly until my legs are free of any noticeable large veins. The office is beautiful, clean and with comfortable furniture. They also have mini fridge with bottled water, seltzer, and I think ginger ale ( if I'm mistaken, please correct me so I can update my review), and a tray of mints. There is a Keurig machine and they served a variety of teas (no caffeine before a doppler ultrasound). The medical reception staff were efficient, the radiology technician was patient and helped me adjust my legs when I felt fatigue and discomfort. The physician I had the consultation answered all my questions and re assured me that my veins could be repaired without any invasive procedure. My next hurdle is hoping my insurance approves the procedures and I'll have my legs back at least to 85 to 95 percent. Lastly, the staff sent me home with a sturdy canvas bag that had a nice metal water bottle, lip balm, hand sanitizer, folder with treatment notes and information about the various conditions, and sheet with all they types of procedures performed to treat them.

A couple of weeks ago, it must've bumped against something and the entire thing swelled up and a large blood clot formed. I was in a lot of pain and nervous about what to do next. I did some research and found the Vein Treatment Clinic. I was able to get a very quick appointment which is impressive given we're in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic. The staff took all the precautions to make sure safety protocols were followed and checking in was seamless. I met with one of the staff (Julianne) who was friendly, knowledgeable, and walked me through what to expect. Then I met with Dr. Juan Montoya who examined me. Both of them were total pros and really took their time to answer questions while giving me a broad overview of my problem and veins in general. I felt like I received an invaluable education. Going in, I was expecting the worst of course. Dr. Juan made me feel totally at ease and gave me assurances that he didn't want to do anything too overboard and that I'd be fine. I got a very honest and straight forward diagnosis. What more could you ask for? Many years ago, medical clinics would ask for our social security number in order to get treated…read more Insurance companies also used it as a patient's identifier. It became illegal for clinics and insurance companies to request a social security number because many were leaked, hacked or even sold by medical clinics, and put their patients at risk of identity theft. Now the less ethical clinics are now demanding to scan your driver's license to keep it in their files in order to treat a patient. Driver's license information can be used to commit identity theft, so that's the same problem as with the social security number. Decent clinics ask to view the driver's license to confirm patients' identity but do not demand a copy of it. This clinic REFUSES TREATMENT if you don't agree to let them scan your driver's license!!! They DO NOT CARE if it is putting you at great financial risk as it was the case with social security numbers. This clinic is rude, unethical, and very disrespectful. Many other places will not ask to scan your driver's license. Do not encourage clinics that are either very clueless about how easily data is stolen at clinics, or they don't care, or they sell your data for profit. Be aware that clinics have to comply with HIIPA regulation, but driver's license information is not protected health information under HIIPA, therefore clinics can do whatever they want with it, that's why it's a very bad practice to give them this information, and ethical clinics that respect their patients do not ask for it. I refuse to deal with such unethical clinics, and if many of you do the same, they'd have no choice but to change their practice.
