We have minnows , worms & crickets all year round . Terminal tackle , rods & reels . Fresh chicken livers , never been frozen . Near about anything you need to go fishing , minnow buckets , cricket containers , much , much more . If we don't have it we can specially order it for you , most orders come in the same week or the very next . Crappie Minnows, Bass Minnows , Pink Crappie Minnows , Brooders , Goldfish & Black Salty's . All sold by the dozen , which we don't count our minnows that's how come we have lasted 29 years ! Crickets sold by the tube , half , quarter or even by case ( but must give notice on case ) . Canadian Nite crawlers , 18 or 24 counts , Redworms (30-35 count ) Super Meal Worms 20 count or bulk too !

Me , my Mom & Dad opened it up 29 years ago . Lisa Spencer , Willie Mae & Robert Thweatt. Since then I have lost both parents , now me and my husband Steve runs it . We have no overhead , no employees so we offer the best deal possible . We look at every box of worms before they leave here , to insure your getting good live worms . We don't count our minnows , so you get way more than your money's worth . We put our minnows into oxygenated bags . We can tell you how to be able to keep your minnows alive longer too . We not only serve Saline County , we have people come from all over just to buy our bait . We have people that take our minnows to 6 different states and never lose a one . We work hard to keep good quality bait , so that we have very happy returning customers .

Meet the Business Owner: Lisa S.

My name is Lisa , for which this business was named after . It was my fathers suggestion to open up the Bait Shop after 1 year after I graduated and applied at banks , businesses and even factories to be told I didn’t have any experience. So my father had this building sitting on two lots right off of the main drag Military Rd . Over here on Watts Rd . We got in here and fixed it up bought the main things in order to carry live bait and then it came down to naming it . He said why don’t we name it Lisa’s for a woman’s name will draw more customers . Plus he said you will be running it . Well he wasn’t lying about that, here it will be 33 years come May 1st . I must admit I really didn’t like fishing but a few years after we opened I met my husband . And he would take me fishing any where and I would catch fish about every time . We have been married 29 years come March 1St and we have 1 daughter that will be 28 years old later in March .
