Also the bugs were horrendous. The closer to the water, the worse they got. I'm not sure if that was because of the recent rain in this area or if it's like this all the time. Bring your bug spray or wear long sleeves and pants because it's a problem.

Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were well kept. There is a river that hugs a couple of holes to make it interesting. Other than one or two blind holes, as a first time player, the course was easy to understand where to hit. It was a challenging course. I enjoyed the variety or the holes. Staff was welcoming. The club house was able to accommodate our large group in the downstairs area. I am looking forward to come back and play my own ball.

Lots of workers on the course ensuring it was well maintained. The fairways and tee boxes were in good shape. The greens had a nice, true roll. Sand traps were a bit soggy and holding water in some cases (good thing I avoided those). Beautiful flower beds were found throughout. Nice views of the nearby lakes greeted us on some holes. We played in just under 3.5 hours despite having to wait on most of the back nine holes. It was a nice pace. Golf carts did not have GPS. Some of the holes had a golf club holder near the green (first course I've seen that on). Staff was helpful. So glad we found this course.

Tee boxes were clean. Greens were smooth and very green. A bit of water and sand to add some additional challenges. We loved this course. It was in wonderful shape. Their clubhouse bar is cute as well, Angie's pub, if I remember right. We played with another twosome who was very pleasant, playing in just under 4 hours. Great experience.
