Absolutely Infuriating Experience - Avoid This Place While Marina's in Charge…read more Dealing with General Manager Marina at CubeSmart has been nothing short of infuriating. I've been more than patient, leaving two messages over the past month with zero response. When I finally got her on the phone today to ask when my prepaid two-year contract ends, her dismissive response was, "It gets really busy around here." Seriously? That's exactly why people leave voicemails--so you can respond when you're not busy. That's called basic business and doing your job. Then she tells me there's "no such thing" as locking in a rate, and she would "never tell anyone that." Really? Then why the heck would I prepay two years in advance if the rate could change at random? That makes absolutely no sense. She proceeds to lecture me about how "all storage companies throughout the entire country raise their rates" and how I should "read my lease next time." Unbelievable. I reminded her that the person I originally spoke to even had to call corporate to figure out how to process my two-year prepay. I remember waiting almost a half an hour in the office on that day like it was yesterday. Marina then admits that she has only been there for five months at the time as she did my contract, but would have never told me that. Marina continues to deny anyone ever said that. She doesn't have to talk about anyone else because she is the one who took the order. When I pressed her on who I spoke to, she hesitates and then admits it was probably her, but swears she "would never" say that. Then her tone gets louder and more defensive. At this point, we've been going back and forth for over 20 minutes, and my wife--who's been listening--starts digging for our paperwork. I start to take notes and ask Marina for her name as I did not recall what she had said when she answered the phone. She refuses. So then I say you won't even give me your name. Her response is Rick will call me back. I then Respond. OK so my wife is listening and you are refusing to even give me your name. Is that correct?. At that point, she says you should know my name it is Marina and I told you that when I answer the phone. Only after she was under pressure and knew someone else was listening. Did she want to cooperate. Oh no! Guess what? We find the receipt. Clear as day: Same monthly rate $99.45 plus $12 "protection plan" every month (3 pages) from 8/18/23 through 9/17/25, with a 15% discount for PREPAYING. That's proof. And as soon as I pointed it out, Marina hung up on me. I've called corporate and now I'm waiting to hear from District Manager Rick. But I'll say this right now: Do NOT give this location your business while Marina is in charge. She's dismissive, Condescending , dishonest, and completely unprofessional. Keep every single receipt and document everything. You'll need it!!!!

I've been a customer at Storage King USA for many years even before it became Storage King USA, and…read moreI'm beyond disappointed with how this place has gone downhill. They keep raising rates with offering less in return. There's no power now, car washing facilities have been down for years, and any amenities that were once decent have either been removed or neglected. It's just frustrating to pay more for declining value. Storage is supposed to be about security, convenience, and service. Right now, it feels like this company is only interested in squeezing every dollar out of long-term customers while doing nothing to improve or even maintain the property. If you're considering this place, think twice.

Too much money for lack of services. RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY You're better off parking your RV/Boat in front of your house and paying your HOA penalties. It will be cheaper in the long run. After two burglaries - Failure to maintain services and accommodations originally offered by previous owner. Failure to provide basic security of the premises. Increase in rental rates with loss of accommodations. No Constantine/razor wire on top of perimeter walls. (Basic) I've experienced two burglaries resulting in thousands of dollars in loss. This facility failed the first time to maintain an operational video surveillance system. The second time there was no video surveillance on the storage rows or alley ways. No accountability from the company. This company insisted that I give them a survey. They asked for suggestions, here are the basic expectations one would look for in a storage site of a $100,000.00 plus Toy Hauler or RV. Secure the facility against incursion, theft, and burglary. Each row of spaces should have high quality professional video surveillance at multiple vantage points. Constantine/razor wire should be mounted on the top of all perimeter walls. Exterior walls should be painted with a slippery low traction coating making it nearly impossible to climb. Restore all accommodations - RV wash bays, vacuum cleaners, and a sanitary RV Black/Gray water dump station - NOT A STEEL LID ON TOP OF A CULVERT TO THE SEWER. Storage King in my opinion is the Slum Lord of Storage facilities.
