We stopped here on the way home for a coffee on a Sunday around 10am. Coffee was really good. They were out of all bagels except plain and we got the last two, so get there early! Also, parking right by the place was completely full another reason to get there a little early. Street parking wasn't too hard to find though. read more

If so, you'll love Little Amps--great coffee and an excellent friendly vibe. The Green Street location is located on a quiet street of Victorian rowhomes in Harrisburg's Old Uptown neighborhood. This setting is a key part of the atmosphere. This is clearly a local spot, with a lot of customers making a short walk for their caffeine jolt. There is usually some sort of interesting vinyl spinning on the turntable behind the counter but at a volume that easily allows conversation. Service has been uniformly fast and friendly on my many visits. Parking is essentially non-existent, as you would expect from a small shop on a corner in a leafy city neighborhood...but that's part of the charm. Love this place. read more

Well, I finally did it. This morning, after a rough night and an early morning, my coffee machine broke to top everything else off. Little amps is a minute closer than 7-11 so I decided why not. I walk over, and its a lovely morning environment. Many places to sit, plug in a laptop or just chill. I of course order a large coffee to go and a bagel with cream cheese. I am tired already and it's been a morning, so when it adds up to 8 bucks i am just like wow, a bit pricey for a coffee and take my black coffee and leave. Notice how I don't say I took my coffee and bagel? Because I didn't. I walk all the way home before realizing I left without my bagel. I quickly walk back to retrieve it, and the staff is as always nice and friendly and hands me my bagel. Great fast service. Maybe drink your coffee before you leave so you remember to grab your bagel. Love this place, 100/10 read more

Such a cute local lil hippie coffee shop employees were so nice and helpful with it being our first time at the shop and in Harrisburg in general. Latte was so good. Cute little coffee house we were recommended to try. Paid for parking and walked up to the store. People were outside enjoying the beautiful weather, while inside there was a slight line w/3 workers. We each placed an ordered and waited a brief moment. Upon receiving one of our drinks we noticed it was the wrong order and the line was too long to try and get back in line for the correct order. We were out ornament shopping on the day after Christmas and it was absolutely frigid. I didn't want to be driving around looking at ornaments but my wife bribed me with a visit to a local coffee shop. The first coffee shop we stopped by was still closed for the holidays. Little Amps was the next one on the Yelp search list so that became our coffee shop destination. Little Amps is a cute little hipsterish joint that combines all things coffee (I'm talking roasting, whole bean distribution, coffee making gadgets and a variety of coffee drinks) with records. In my world, there probably isn't a more dangerous combination. This Little Amps location offers street parking that we were quickly able to find. Inside, Little Amps has a number of different places to sit throughout the coffee shop. I loved that about it. You could visit here five times and get five different unique views/seating experiences. There were traditional coffee shop tables that looked out on the crowded Harrisburg streets at the front of the shop, two or three high top chairs at a window cut out that offered a more private conversational area in the middle of the store, comfy chairs that you could sink into behind the record display and a back room that seemed perfect for people looking for a more secluded area to study or work. The employees who took my order were super attentive, there were two of them and they both stopped what they were doing to listen to what I wanted. One rang me up, the other made my drink. Despite the chilly air I went with my coffee norm, an iced version, and was very pleased. My drink mixed coffee and soy milk (which is only 35 cents extra, a far cry from the dollar bill that it runs in Tampa) and I was pleased to find that the bean flavor wasn't masked by the brand of soy milk they used. The coffee was the star of the drink, not just some two bit side actor that peeks its head out every once in a while. It was a coffee cup that was on par with most of my favorites in the Tampa area (although it was about a dollar and a half cheaper....score!). I wish I could've spent some more time at Little Amps perusing their records. I probably could've killed off a couple hours just walking around and looking at things. As it was, I had to take my drink to go. I don't make it to Harrisburg often but next time I'm back, Little Amps will be my first choice for post Christmas ornament shopping coffee! read more

I went here for coffee one Saturday morning. I loved the atmosphere of the coffee shop! I ordered a small hot mocha latte. I was able to look at some of their record collection while my drink was being made. It was a really nice environment, and they had a great taste in music when it came to what records were available. The coffee, to be honest, was only okay. It seemed a little watered down to me and all the mocha was at the bottom of the cup when I had finished. We came in and got two espressos. Surprisingly, they served our shots with tonic water..which was AWESOME! (No other shop just pairs it automatically like this) Thanks for that guys! The espresso itself was delicious, and the crema was almost perfect! They do have a very nice food selection at this location (2 other locations)..we will definitely be trying it sometime. The inside is very bright/chill..with vinyl albums and plenty of merch in the front of the shop. There is plenty of seating inside and out. I will say if you're not looking for it..you may just pass it. Nice little nook in the wall, so definitely keep your eye out. All in all it was a wholesome experience at the green st location. And the two baristas working today were welcoming, and helpful..and made sure my service dog also got a little treat. He appreciated it. *Note slightly bummed they had no whipped cream. The Little Amps location at green street is a nice spot to grab some coffee slightly outside of downtown Harrisburg. This location has an advantage over the other Harrisburg location in that street parking is free. Prices are reasonable and a bit cheaper than Starbucks. WiFi was good around 10-15 Mbps up and down. Usually the tables and seating are full but there were some spots available when I came on a Thursday morning. Lastly, the baristas are friendly and quick. On my last visit I tried the tea latte for $3 that tasted like a usual chai tea latte, although it was nice to have in a cup with latte art. I enjoy Little Amps most for the quality of the brew. I love both espresso and pour overs. Maybe it just me or is the quality of coffee not as good as it used to be. I used to love their cappucino which had a thick forth and a strong flavor to it. Now though, there is syrup-iness to their coffee. Maybe they have changed their milk or the quality of their beans is not as good but the syrupy aftertaste sort of ruins the coffee. Whatever they had pre-2019 they should go back to because this new taste is not hitting the mark. read more

Yay! First to Review! Little Amps is a new coffee house that was much needed in the Old Uptowne area. The proprietor roasts the coffee beans on site in a huge roaster that doubles as decor and conversation piece. Interior is sleek and very clean. Pricing is about average for gourmet coffee and I have seen sandwiches and pastries for sale. They look good and will try them soon. Coffee is very good and comes in a variety of typical options: americano, expresso, cappucino, etc. One feature I really like about this establishment is the small lounge space in the back. There is comfortable seating and of course, wifi. The owner also has a box of vinyl on display with albums available for purchase. I get a very hipster vibe from this place. As recently as yesterday, there were small cafe tables out front. Little Amps looks like it's a hit with the locals, based on activity. The staff is friendly and the coffee is great. It's a refreshing oasis in an area that is going through re-gentrification. read more

What a gem in Harrisburg! Went with my friend to try this place, she got a drip coffee and lemon blueberry muffin that she raved about, and I got an iced mocha and a biscuit with jam. Baristas and the crowd are very friendly. The biscuit was fire!! Best biscuit I've ever had. Like, I'm thinking of coming 5 hours to visit again just so my wife can have one. I liked the mocha though it was on the sweet side--but I happen to like mine a little sweet. I'd love to try a cappuccino or cortado next time. And they have a lovely outdoor seating area that's quiet and pleasant (but no trash cans outside, for some reason?). Will definitely return if I'm ever in the area again. read more

This little corner coffee shop is so charming and great coffee (most importantly). Bf and I ordered a shot of espresso and a latte for sit down. The shop had great decoration with a chill vibe with plenty of tables/couch/high tops to sit and chat or work/studies. I loved the design that they left on my latte and my bf loved his espresso. he said his was very aromatic and definitely strong). They also have glasses out and a water dispenser so you don't have to buy water to keep you hydrated. Definitely have a artsy/hipster vibe to the shop as well as the customers, which makes it even better. We definitely will come back to try more items on the menu. read more

I truly love this place and the coffee. I grew up on the 200 block of Seneca Street just a few blocks north in Uptown, so I love seeing business's like this thrive and continue to Create buzz. They typically always have some great music playing and the baristas are also extremely friendly. My only gripe is that the hours are kinda wacky. Each locations hours are all over the place and they are only open later one day during the week, which is Friday at the State Street location. I described what I was looking for and the owner knew exactly what I wanted. I took home a bag of the autumn sweater and have been very pleased!
