Lots of parking in a new development.I love windows and it was very clean and earthy looking. There was plenty of space but I could see this place being packed in the weekend. There is a 90 min sitting limit for those customers who overstay their welcome I ordered a baked oatmeal with fruit and a hot matcha latte. They have a vegan and gluten free menu which is nice. I'm assuming they change it based on the season with some seasonal treats. The oatmeal was delicious and not too sweet, with fresh fruit. The matcha was fantastic and in a pretty big mug. I dined in and my order came out within 3 min of sitting down so that was impressive. Outside of the older lady that sat close to my table that talked about how annoying the lady from her book club was, this place is great. Grab to go if you are a loner like myself. read more

First time visiting, I ordered a turkey, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel along with an iced coffee. Everything was delicious. I was surprised at how busy the café got on a Sunday. Thank you for keeping me alert the week I spent in Carlisle/Mechanicsburg. I tried coffees on their holiday menu and my fave was the Yellow Brick Road which was a turmeric syrup latte. OMG it was so delish. What the competitors call a grande with oatmilk was $6.65. I enjoyed the coffee and pastries I tried this week and def recommend supporting this local business. Quite busy for 11am on Tuesday I thought, but as I'm usually working this could totally be the normal. Today I had the loaded breakfast sandwich without spinach & my dirty chai latte (naturally). I found a corner seat and settled in for a read. Friends & family met around me, people on laptops working creatively, and tasters of every kind filled the seats around me filling the cafe with a soft, joyful chatter. I have been to Down To Earth Cafe a couple of times now. I like the inside aesthetics & general ambience, if a little loud (noise of customers.) The staff have always been pleasant & I have never had to wait too long for my order, even though they have been busy, each time I have been here. They have a couple of tables out the front, which could do with parasols in the summer heat. There is seating out the back too, however all chairs have been taken each time I have been here. You have a few seats at the side of the bar/counter, or a choice of tables & chairs. There's a pretty good menu choice on food & drinks & so far, I have not been disappointed! I always try to support local coffee shops over big chain stores, and this one is pretty close to where I work when I'm in the area, so I wanted to give it a try. It's super cute and welcoming. They sell local art which is awesome, I had to buy a print. Their coffee is delicious - I got a lavender and honey latte which honestly was the best espresso I've had in mechanicsburg, so great job to the baristas. My coworker was super happy to see a London fog on the menu too! I also had the bagel breakfast sandwich and the Turkey tasted so fresh a delicious, I love that it's local. Plenty of parking and seating, including a couple 2-tops outside. Indoor seating is open and the ambiance is relaxing. Coffee was great, and I didn't have to add cream to mask it. Food was tasty too, with fair prices. I'll definitely return! Sidenote: It's getting loud as more people arrive this Saturday morning. I think it depends on preference when it comes to rating a coffee shop. I am pretty picky considering I hop to different coffee shop every week. But I have to say that this place has a good ambiance. I am not a fan of the blueberry muffin because of the cakey texture. I think it's slighly underdone. The sugar on top of it supposed to give a caramelized feeling & melt, but I can only taste sprinkle raw sugar. But dont get me wrong, some people like gewy muffin. Incredibly charming ambiance. Modern yet comfortable industrial style that's uber fashionable these days. I'm going to get my only complaint mentioned right now. They don't have longer hours. We arrived just as they were closing in the afternoon. We love afternoon coffee breaks at nice coffee houses where we can sit down and relax and enjoy an amazing cup. Even thought they were in the process of closing down equipment and cleaning, they offered to serve us with what they were still able to prepare. We ordered two coffees to go, plus grabbed two carbonated canned drinks, and enjoyed our drinks on the run. Prices are competive with other "high-end" coffee shops. They use locally roasted coffee and a cup of drip is $3 and swankier options are a little over $5. Teas run about $3-$5. They also have smoothies for $6.50. They have kombucha on tap, I don't know the price for that. They also offer foods. They range from about $3 for a cookie to just over $10 for a chicken pesto sandwich. The acai bowl is $11.50. They even have soup under $5. I am looking forward to trying them for breakfast, brunch, or lunch - or even a quick snack. Locally owned, the owner served us personally, this place is a great place to gather, relax, and enjoy. Nice to have a coffee shop like this in the area. read more

This was my second visit. Both times the items I chose were amazing. The staff are very friendly, coffee is flavorful and smooth, and the breakfast sandwich was EXACTLY how I like it. The bread wasn't chewy; it was toasted yet soft and fresh. They offer indoor/outdoor seating choices with and without umbrellas. Very earth conscious with them serving cold coffee in a glass with a metal straw. A nicely hidden gem in the newly constructed Legacy Park living complex in Mechanicsburg. There are plenty of tables, an L-shaped bar, a few couches, and comfy chairs for relaxing. The employees are friendly and helpful in recommending some of the options from the menu, which, while simple, is attended to with confidence. The entire windowed perimeter of the cafe is lined with power outlets and USB ports for all your device charging needs. Service is semi-self-served via ordering at the counter, receiving a number, and returning to your table for it to be delivered once complete. My only complaint is standard with most coffee shops, they aren't open 24 hours. So far I have not had anything from here I did not enjoy from Quiche to Carmel Macchiatos and smoothies. read more

Nice impressive decor, well done. The feel of this coffee shop's style is pleasing via it's homie yet contemporary setting. New, shiny and clean. The staff was nice, quick and efficient, but I wouldn't say welcoming. One nice thing is that they deliver the orders to your table. Beats customers having to stand around, waiting patiently, hoping to hear one's name being called (like all the other coffee cafes). My expectations for a dedicated coffee shop are more demanding than regular restaurants. That being said, I ordered a regular coffee which was dispensed from a pump carafe rather than directly from the brewer. The coffee itself was OK but barely warm. I also had a blueberry muffin which was also very disappointing; not many blueberries and a pretty bland taste. The person who waited on me also seemed a bit put out regarding customer service.
