The Chapel Hill Golf Course opened in 1996 on the site of the former Mount Vernon Bible College. The original Chapel that once served as a place of worship now serves as a rather unique clubhouse. The clubhouse offers typical golf course fare - hot dogs, chips, pop, beer, etc. Rates are generally affordable. We generally try to "walk" most courses but this is one course where we usually rent carts. This course has a lot of ups and downs that not only makes the course challenging to play but it also makes for a long and challenging walk. If you're playing Chapel Hill for the 1st time, I'd strongly recommend using a cart. Then you can make your own decision on your next round. Chapel Hill was in great condition this season and the tees, greens and fairways were all in generally good condition. The last time we played there this season was in November and the course was wet but was still green and well-groomed. This course is off the beaten path for us (we all live in suburbs on the north side of Columbus) but it's pretty reasonably priced and is worth the drive. The staff in the clubhouse and the starter (one of the few courses we play that still has a starter) are all great.

He locked me out of the portal to book tee times when people weekly dont show up for their golf scheduled. Ive been double charged the last 2 months and he will not refund my credit card and Im out $1500 right now. Ive asked 3x for help and he holds a grudge against people. Save your money go to Wyandot, bent tree, or somewhere else for $40 and save your money. If this is how upper management will allow their so called managers to run a private club, you are wasting your money Let's talk food, Ive never had a carry out meal come as ordered. Good luck getting food also within 30-45 minutes of when you order. Last time we sat down I dont think drinks came out for 10-15 minutes when I was entertaining and food at least a half hour after. Id suggest saving your money and going to a profession operation like The Lakes or Medallion who actually cares about the member and the experience. I hope this just is enough to make sure you are aware before signing up and spending your hard earned money. Spend a little more and go somewhere you feel good and have good people around you

My husband…read moreand I decided to try the Hillsboro location, and were really excited to be some of the first people who experienced the new Treasure Island suite. The location isn't hard to find, but remember you're looking for a house, not a traditional hotel. Check-in was a breeze and from the moment you enter the suite, you are plunged into what I can only describe as a romantic escape room. I don't want to give away too many things, because half of the fun is discovering all that your suite has to offer. However, I will say that you will not be disappointed if you love mysteries and grew up on choose your own adventure books and Scooby Doo. In addition to all of the fun things, the room has to offer, details have been meticulously, thought of, from plush robes to snacks. You never really have to leave the room if you don't want to. We did decide to take a break about halfway through to enjoy a restaurant in the area, which was another bit of nostalgia, because I had not seen a Ponderosa buffet since I was a kid. Two things to note to make your stay better. First, take advantage of the full-time you have the room. This is one place that you want to arrive as soon as check-in is available at 5PM and check out at the very last minute 11AM so you can really enjoy everything. Next, even if you are really moving quickly the experience takes 3 to 4 hours, so be prepared for that. You can definitely move at your own pace, but just know there's a lot to uncover. Overall, this place is a gem. I would absolutely return and try a different adventure, but honestly Treasure Island was so much fun I would do it again.

We had the opportunity to visit in 2020 and so happy we took some time off to visit again this year for 2023! Booked tickets online a couple weeks ago, drove up from Columbus, checked in at the gate, and spent the afternoon enjoying the grounds and gardens. Price is $50 per car, there were only 2 of us but we would have been the same for a full car. The experience was simply breathtaking, tranquil, and fun to explore the 9 gardens and art. The gardens consist of: the Waterfalls Garden, Stream Garden, Serenity Garden, Hofstra Garden, Chinese Cup Garden, Japanese Garden, Meadow Garden, Woodland Garden, and the Quarry Garden. My personal favorites are the Quarry, Stream, Serenity, and Woodland Garden and I absolutely love all the art and the various shapes and sizes of the trees and shrubs throughout. The stroll took us about 2 1/2 hours this trip. Open to the public this season from Jun 1st - Jun 25th, 2023. Located in Gambier, Ohio (Knox County) It's about an hour outside of Columbus. Second visit in three years and hope to be able to return again as it is simply a treasure. For more info visit schnormeiergardens.org
