The slope from the whites I believe is posted maybe 117 but I feel it should be more like 125. The front nine while not all that long it is very tough especially once you get on the greens. You have to stay below the hole on the greens. The 4 or 5 flat holes on the back are somewhat a relief until you get on the green. This is a truly challenge course. The price is more than my golfnow budget typically allows but then this is not your average golf course as well. A true delight. The meal afterwards was delicious; I had the chicken wrap and fries, an unexpected delicious combo. Very nice experience..

The golf course staff was extremely friendly and helpful in guiding me to make the best selection. They even took extra care in mailing the membership card using an envelope that would not reveal the surprise inside.

Good luck getting food also within 30-45 minutes of when you order. Last time we sat down I dont think drinks came out for 10-15 minutes when I was entertaining and food at least a half hour after. Id suggest saving your money and going to a profession operation like The Lakes or Medallion who actually cares about the member and the experience. The fairways are very nice, and the greens roll the ball very well. The down side was the greens were very hard and because they were small, we had trouble on approach shots. The course has to many sand traps, and the sand was hard as a rock so you couldn't get out of them as you do with proper sand. I didn't like that nearly every hole had numerous sand traps on them, so if you didn't hit a perfect shot you were in a trap. The course needs a Ranger. Play was very slow, particularly the last 3 holes where a party of 7 drunk players were playing/partying together. That's right, a sevensome! So, I rate the Stone Ridge Golf Course a 3. The price to play gets a 5, the fairways get a 5, the greens get a 3, the traps get a 0, the lack of a Ranger nets a 0, and the experience gets a 0 because of the drunken sevensome. Will I play Stone Ridge again? No, there are to many nicer places to play.
