We came, we slaw, we et. We were looking to get Indian food but my copilot forgot to check the hours. Next item on our food list was Greek Food. I looked at the map and decided on Little Athens over the others. It's buried deep in an older mall and has probably been here 40 years. Ordered souvlaki. Was surprised it was in a pita but it smelled wonderful. I was NOT disappointed! Pickled fresh lettuce, souvlaki meat (chicken or pork option) chunks with fried onions (optional) and ate it sandwich style but cut it up with a fork and stuffed my face. Good Flavor. A MEAL FOR CHAMPIONS I have been visiting Great Falls, Montana for the past 24 years and all I can say is that Little Athens is the best food in the entire city of Great Falls! I look forward to going to Little Athens every time I visit! You can't get authentic, delicious, dreamy Greek food anywhere else in Great Falls! The mall has seen a lot of heartbreak over the years with stores closing but Little Athens has remained constant! I find it the shining star in the malls history! I personally only go to the mall to eat at this incredible restaurant! I have grown up with incredible memories of these gyros and cheese fries! I always find my self craving and dreaming of these Gyros! I even try to recreate them when I am not in Great Falls! The food was OK, but not great. Salad was iceberg, few Romano slices and onions. Out of one dish we ordered so substituted the dolmates which were average . This was difficult to find using the GPS as inside a very dead looking mall. It took us to a parking lot in the back of the building it felt. Staff seemed to be bothered that we showed up. The last eatery in the dying Holiday Village Mall. The Gyros we had for lunch were on the salty side with lots of veggies and a sparce amount of meat. The fries were crisp and hot... better than the Gyro. This place manages to hang on to a small but loyal local customer base since they are one of the only options in Great Falls for this Greek staple. Really great family run gyro shop that we love to visit when we're in Great Falls. Been coming here for years.

The food is great! I have been a fan for about 20 years. Until recently. My daughters and I went in for a Gyro and there were two staff members eating food at a table(no problem) the restaurant was empty. We were glared at as soon as we walked in. Went up to the counter and waited about 5 min until the guy with a bun decided to take our order. He was incredibly rude. The girl that works there got up to help with the food and proceeded to stare at us and laugh, all the while saying how the guy can't say things like that (presumably about us). It was so uncomfortable and rude. I felt like we were interrupting their date and they were super aggravated about it. So despite the great food I will NEVER go back. 6/13/20 We did go back for lunch before leaving town to return home! Food was just as good. We got a regular gyro this time, and it is better than the chicken. The place was hopping! Tip: order your food for takeout, even if you are dining in, so they will place your gyro in a paper pouch. It helps with spillage :) 6/12/20 We love authentic cuisine and sought this place out based on Yelp reviews. This is our 1st time to Great Falls. We drove around a few times before calling and learning that it is located on the 1st floor of the local mall. They are only there until next March, apparently, when they move to a different location here in town. It was worth the hunt! The Chicken Souvlaki gyro was made to order and served hot. It smelled amazing and tasted just as good. Add the onions and feta! The tdasiki sauce is also very tasty. They make their own baklava, which was a little sweeter than usual, but it sure satisfied my sweet tooth. The place is quiant, with old school 80s posters of Greece and cute trolls above the menu board. Random but oh so fun. Staff said they have been working there over a decade! They were friendly as hell. I am tempted to go back for lunch tomorrow before we leave town. read more

The guy running the place, I'm assuming the owner is vulgar, rude and absolutely unprofessional. It is common to hear profanity, racist remarks and sexual innuendos coming from the kitchen and behind the counter which can be clearly heard in the dining area. No surprise the quality of the food has dropped as bad as it has based on the unprofessional conduct coming from the kitchen. One of the most consistent restaurants in Great Falls. Fries are iffy, not worth the $6 unless you're really hard up. But the Greek food hits the spot, especially in a town that is lacking in unique eateries. The female staff is really friendly! Visited on a recent work trip to Montana after a recommendation from a coworker. . I want to provide some valuable feedback, because I don't know if the owners really understand how bad the food was. A traditional Gyro sandwich is supposed to be cut right off of the spit into the Pita. It is not supposed to be cut off a spit, and then reheated on a grill. That takes away some of the taste there. I would suggest ensuring that your Gyro spit is hot enough, and you have it on for enough time that it is at temperature that is able to be served. Also, we paid $3.50 extra for 1/2 order more of Gyro meat, and my coworker had three strips inside his pita, with tons of veggies. For a 1/2 order more, I would expect that sandwich to be overflowing with meat. A standard traditional Gyro (Even from a bad place) has double to triple the meat in there. Secondly, the tzatziki sauce was awful. It was very thin and liquid based and seriously tasted like a vinegar based Greek dressing. You would be much better off using the Standard Kronos based tzatziki, because that tastes more authentic than that. Thirdly, the fries? Terrible. We ordered one medium fry, and one medium Greek fry. The fries were under cooked, and the Greek fries? The worst I've ever had. The fries were so soggy because they were under cooked, and there was so much lemon juice in the container it was actually falling apart. Greek fries should be cooked a little longer than regular fries, so they can truly keep their crispness and taste even after putting the feta, lemon juice and oregano on there. Finally - very overpriced for what you get. $40.00 for two gyros, two fries, and two pops is insane. It's cheaper in California and their cost of living is triple what it is in Montana. I really hope that the owners read this review and take some of this into consideration. Unfortunately, they just lost a good 10-15 customers because nobody from my office will be returning as my coworker had nothing but bad things to say. read more

At least Great Falls has Gyros. Little Athens is located in the mall. The owners really are Greek, they were born over there. The food is decent, although I've had a better gyro in larger cities. Their tzatziki sauce is lackluster, but their desserts are authentic. Also, they need to start playing Greek music or something in there. If this is the first time you'll have greek food, this isn't a great representation of what this regional cuisine has to offer. Nevertheless, beggers can't be choosers. My husband and i tried this place when we moved here last year. I personally didn't like it. No falafel and the gyro was not good. Barely any meat and soooo much lettuce. Tzatziki was bland and watery. The meat that I did get in it wasn't good. I've had much much better. I cant say much more since this is great falls and good food is pretty slim anyway. Just sucks. I love the gyros at Little Athens. And I have had gyros in multiple cities with which to compare them. I think this little noshery makes the best gyros I've had. Worth the price. (Granted, I live elsewhere and am used to a higher cost of living.) If you want more meat, just ask for it. I'm sure you can have it made the way you want for a fee. read more

The gyros are good although a little messy. It was a little awkward to try and eat my food while the employees stared at me. Tried the baklava and my boyfriend, a chef, has made better traditional baklava. Theirs was very heavy and soggy. It wasn't flaky or crunchy like it should be. read more

Nice little hole in the wall place, located in the mall food court area. I'm pretty picky and was surprised to discover this authentic gem.
