If ever you're around this area, do visit on a Wednesday night as its operaaaa night so you can get the full experience!! (although be warned that you would probably have to book in advance as it can get fairly packed). Before I came to this restaurant, I did a quick google street view search and to my delight, I found that you can actually go INSIDE THE RESTAURANT!!! It gave me a good exclusive view into the interior of the place and can I say, that it is amazing visually!!!! Who cares about the food because it just looks so quaint inside!! Unfortunately, I was seated just on the outer room of the restaurant which looks just as nice but not as nice as the special room ;-) (if you book you might get a space deeper into the restaurant!) The special room comprises of an opera house -like set up complete with balconies and detailing on the walls and ornaments. Best place to sit would be the balconies (which you can also visit on google street view :D). This place is very popular for dates, birthday functions, parteeess and proposals ;-) Food wise is reasonable, and appropriate portion sized but the main reason to visit is the venue itself.

Little Bay is hilarious! Entertainment: I had no idea what to expect as we came here for a friend's birthday (I think her husband booked it to make her giggle!?) The décor is set up a bit like a theatre, with the back room surrounded by mini booths overlooking the central stage area. While we were there on a Friday night the whole restaurant was serenaded by an opera singer during our meal. This was brilliant! Food: I didn't think the food was particularly amazing (it wasn't bad...it just seemed a little like a posh pub from the 90s!) BUT it all tasted alright. I've taken some photos so you can get the idea. Anyway, I am glad I experienced the madness of Croydon.

I booked a reservation for 2 for this past Valentine's Day about a month in advance, and we were not disappointed! The atmosphere is cozy, intimate, and dimly-lit, which was incredibly romantic. We sat at a high table near the bar at the entrance of the restaurant but still felt like we had a tremendous amount of privacy. Our waitress was pleasant, attentive, and explained the menu well. And, OH! The food. We ordered ham croquettes, the Devon crab, the gnocchi with lobster cream, aged beef, and the burrata, finishing our dinner off with the cheese plate. The crab was the highlight of the meal, creamy and delicious, fresh and light. We cleaned our plates after each dish, which were smaller than your average portion size but perfect to share between 2 people. The prices were a bit steep, but the quality and presentation of each dish were so worth it. Naughty Piglets was the perfect place to splash out for a special occasion and enjoy share-able plates of fresh, taste-bud-tingling food. Each dish was complex and delicious enough to have us wanting more, until our next plate was delivered! I would recommend booking in advance if you'd like a prime table or a later dinner time, especially on a weekend, and booking for a party of 2 specifically. The menu seems designed for that (as our waitress explained) and it makes the experience that much more intimate.

Everything was spot on -- perfectly flavoured and very fresh. I especially enjoyed the Devon crab and the beef -- they were perfectly substantive but not overpowering. Service was very good. We sat on the counter, facing the open kitchen, and got to interact with our waiter, who was engaging and helpful. Ambience was cosy and intimate. I hope they never lose the neighbourly atmosphere.

We had a 6 course dinner and it was hard to decide which one of the 6 was best. I loved it that the food was not only "served", but we were asked after each course what we thought about it and at the end which one was our favourite. This shows that this is not only a "business" to the hosts, but their passion. And when I told at the end that it was my birthday, I even got a birthday card!!! That was so cool. I never had this before It is a night to remember and a lovely place I will definitely come back to! Thanks for a perfect dinner!

Besides, I think they seem to save the elaborate design for its dishes, all of which are designed to be shared. To start, the service here is excellent. The waiters are friendly and cheerful and are very helpful about explaining the menu. The restaurant only opened about 2 months ago and I think they are very aware of wanting to make a good impression on its clients! They recommend 3 dishes per person (tapas style) but as the menu isn't very extensive, we decided to go 2 dishes per person and that was enough for us. We started off with a dish of goats cheese curd with fennel and figs drizzled with honey - absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Next up was a poached egg with truffled mushrooms, a favourite of one of my dining companions. I thought it was good, but difficult to share. Highlight of my meal was the honey fried chicken with sweetcorn and bulgar wheat... amazingly crispy on the outside and moist on the inside! The lamb ribs, raviolli and chips with aoli were good too. After all of that, we were stuffed but still made room for desert! Had the mascarpone with English strawberries, and it was absolutely delicious, although I wish there had been a few more strawberries on it! All in all, great dining experience from a newbie restaurant on the block. At the moment, it's not too busy (particularly on Sat nights, as our waiter informed us) but surely will pick up soon so get in there.
