I chose this daycare because it was the least expensive daycare I found, and it was small. She didn't watch more than three kids at a time, so I knew that my son got plenty of attention, and her daycare never got too loud or chaotic like the larger daycares I visited. My son liked coming and made friends with the other kids there. I liked her flexibility. My job sometimes had me working six days a week, sometimes only one or two days a week. Denise offered weekly and daily rates, so that I only paid for what I needed. (She offered hourly and monthly rates too, but I only paid weekly and daily.) It was also great that she was open earlier and later than most daycares, and open on the weekends too. I liked that she was willing to work with cloth diapers, fed my son the number of bottles I requested at the time intervals I requested when he was a baby, and bought the food I requested for him when he was older (he was picky). Because of the small size of the daycare and the quiet neighborhood, my son always got quality naps there. He slept better there than at home! She weaned him off the pacifier and helped with potty training too. I appreciated that she read books to him and took him out for a walk on the nearby trail everyday. She also had a small backyard my son got to play in when the weather was nice. Another thing I liked about this daycare was that Denise made a point to not let the kids watch too much TV; she only allowed up to one hour of TV per day. She helped my son learn his numbers and letters, and even taught him to read before he started kindergarten! Now his teacher says he's the best reader in his class!

The teachers are warm, attentive, and deeply understanding--they made both of my kids feel seen, safe, and loved every single day. The curriculum is thoughtful and well-balanced, blending play-based learning with foundational academic skills in a way that kept my children both engaged and challenged. I was always impressed by the healthy meals they provided, as well as the wide range of activities designed to nurture emotional, social, and intellectual growth. The play spaces are spotless and thoughtfully designed, and the fenced outdoor area is full of creative, fun structures that encouraged exploration and movement. Most importantly, my children loved going to school. They came home happy, enriched, and more than ready for kindergarten--confident, curious, and well-prepared. They do a wonderful job of teaching the kids and have a lot of creative activities. Kelli and her staff do a great job of creating a fun safe environment where kids can learn and grow. I love how they post pictures and videos of the activities the kids do throughout the day. The kids do a lot of creative play and there is a fun outside play area. They provide healthy meals and snacks every day, and accommodate for dietary restrictions or allergies. Compared to other similar pre-school options Happy Face Preschool is very affordable.

My child has been attending for several months now and we're having a good experience overall…read more Although I do wish sometimes that communication was better, it's really good taking into consideration how many young children are in their care. The staff seem to genuinely care for my baby, which is nice. I really like having the app to see what's going on throughout the day, though it's only as good as the events logged by the staff. Getting several pictures of my baby every day when they are at daycare makes being apart a little easier. In my five months as a customer so far, there has been one misunderstanding about dates the nursery was open/closed due to inconsistent materials on the holiday schedule, and there has been one morning when no one was on site to take care of the children when the center opened, and one of the parents had to call Christina to let her know about the issue, and so we had to just wait there in the lobby with our kiddos until someone arrived (bless you, Kathy!). This is not easy work, so I would say the cost is justified. I'm really grateful for the care my child has received from the staff here and look forward to continuing to partner with them in caring for my child when I am unable to do so myself.

One of the biggest fears I had about going back to school wasn't the homework, the exams, or balancing being a full-time student and a full-time mom. It was leaving my children in someone else's care. After everything we've been through, my babies needed consistency. They needed to be safe. They needed to be loved. And I needed to know that while I was working to build a better future for us, they were somewhere their little hearts and minds would continue to grow. When I was 19, I worked at La Petite Playschool and Nursery. I remember how much everyone genuinely loved the children, how seriously we took our training, and how much care went into every single day. It never felt like "just a daycare." Over the years, Lisa became so much more than my former boss. She became someone I looked up to, someone who believed in me, encouraged me, and loved me through different seasons of life. So when it came time to choose childcare, my heart already knew where my children belonged. Watching Oliver and Juniper thrive has been one of the greatest gifts. They come home with stories, songs, artwork, new words, dirty clothes from playing hard, and smiles that tell me they had another day filled with love. My son still loves her and talks about her. The price was more than reasonable, and the vacations were workable. I especially appreciated the independent skills and support she and her team offered my kid - she helped him learn to walk, potty train, go to the bathroom by himself, and really critically, learn to be kind and caring to other kids. We will forever be grateful to her for her wonderful support in raising our sweet boy.
