We moved our son into Little Bits Nipomo from another awesome preschool in Avila when he was just over a year. We were nervous about the transition but the LB teachers made it so easy, so smooth, and assured us every step of the way with photos and updates. Our son has grown so much and I know it has a lot to do with the love, attention, and care he gets at daycare, too. My favorite thing about the toddler class is the amount of projects and activities they have the kids engaged in! The weekly themes change throughout the year, there seem to be daily projects that get the kids curious and learning something new in an interesting way, and an abundance of little "celebrations" which are so fun to watch and participate in occasionally. No regrets at all transitioning to Little Bits. Thank you to the teachers and staff running that place - it really is a gift to us parents! read more

My son has attended little bits since he was about 10 weeks old. He is now 2.5 years old and moving to the preschool. I can truly say the best decision I have made is playing my son in the care of the little bits. They love my son and care for him as if he's their own. They do such fun activities and have a fantastic curriculum that keep the kids having fun and learning. They communicate throughout the day with check ins and pictures on bright-wheel and as a full time working mom this made me feel SO good, and not like I was missing anything while I was at work. I have an older child who attended a different daycare/preschool and I wish I had sent her to little bits. read more

Five stars, hands down! My son is four years old & has been there since he was 12 weeks old. It's hard to trust strangers with your child but the teachers have become family to us & have helped nurture my son into the loving, creative & curious soul that he is today. It hasn't always been perfect, but they fix a problem when there is one & find a solution that works for everyone. They navigated COVID as best they could & looking back, they did a great job. Using an app has also made things more transparent about the daily activities my child is doing throughout the day & they're always quick to answer questions that I have. All 3 of my children have attended little bits preschool starting with my daughter who was 3 at the time. My younger two have both attend from infancy, one is now 4.5 and almost 2. I can not recommend little bits enough to families, the staff has all been very attentive and caring to all of my children. read more

This place is just not good. I mean, it kind of looks like they have things under control and organized but when your child starts going there, you realize that this place is just a low profile "daycare". My child was there for a few months, and she didn't learn much at all. Also, my child hurt her legs twice. The first time, it was a huge scratch and they told me that they didn't see it. Second time, her knees where very bad, and when I go to pick her up I asked for at least a bandage and they didn't have any!!!!! This place seems to be overwhelmed with kids, and the "teachers", most of them, are so careless. You want your kids to be treated with at least "care" if isn't any love. But in here, not sure about that. Unfortunately since I moved here to Santa Maria, I had the worse time to find a decent preschool. Horrible experience! My 3 year old has been here for 5 months and I'm really happy with it. He comes home singing the songs, talking about his teachers (especially Miss Michelle), and asks to go to school on his days off. Any time he's bumped his head or any other issue (let's be real, he's a 3 year old boy, and he's constantly testing his limits) they have immediately called me and written an ouch report. He brings home the cute, age appropriate projects that follow their curriculum. The teachers are great at communicating (I got a text with a photo of my son having fun at school per my husband's request as he had a little separation anxiety in the beginning), send home a monthly newsletter, and put up a monthly calendar that shows what the curriculum and projects will be every day. As a former preschool teacher with a lot of experience, a degree in early childhood education, and another degree in educational psychology, and a parent of 3, I would say this is a great program. The only thing I would ask that they improve on is the communication via phone from the directors when there is a question about something such as a schedule change or something that the teachers cannot address. Sometimes it's difficult to get through to the office or get a call back. However, they're busy and also work with the children a lot, so it's understandable. Also would love to see the teachers get paid more for their hard work and dedication, but the sad reality in our country is that preschool teachers (and teachers in general) just do not make what they deserve. The price of tuition is typical for the area, not super high or low compared to others, but right around the average price. All in all, I'm happy with it and also plan on sending my youngest when she is a little older. read more

uneducated ,Under qualified, & always understaffed which makes no sense when they charge over $1500 each child and cannot support their children with the type of help they need to learn so disappointing and very disgusting . No child left behind does not apply to this school nor staffing and if your child has any type of learning disability they will mistreat your child verbally & physically and keep it in silence DO NOT TRUST LITTLE BITS SCHOOL With your children unless you want them to come home mentally stressed and frustrated . read more
