My baby had Annie as his first teacher. He started with her at the tender age of just 7 months. As a first time mom, I was nervous to hand off my child while I returned to work. Annie was amazing with my child from day one. She exudes kindness and clearly loves the little ones. She was our "childcare fairy." She has sold Elec and will no longer run that program & we miss her dearly. I have nothing but positive things to say about Annie. She's not only great with the babies; she is also professional, organized, and communicative. I highly recommend her. read more

This is the BEST place. My son has gone here since he was 3 months old and I could not have gone back to work so soon if it weren't for them. I know he is well taken care of and loved. They are excellent about communicating with me and I am so appreciative of everything they do. ELEC is a wonderful daycare. Our daughter received such amazing care from Annie. She loved going to school every day and would always "talk" about Annie and her friends at school. Our daughter came home with new words and skills that showed how much she was learning. Annie is a loving caregiver who is knowledgeable and experienced. I love this childcare facility! My son has issues with taking the bottle and each and every teacher worked hard to research methods and ideas to help him eat. This is the most wonderful daycare. I love it. I had my daughter home with me for the first year and was dreading the thought of putting her in a daycare, I almost did not take my job because of it. The center owner, Miss Stiles is a really amazing person, she is one of the most conscientious and hard working people I have ever met, yet is incredibly warm and really connected to the children in her care. We call her the 'third parent'. She seems to be very particular about who she hires to work with her, the rest of her staff are just lovely and share her love of their work. I have arrived at different times of the day and always find my daughter in someone's arms or engaged in play, she is always being taken care of to the highest standard. I was especially concerned about my daughter's sleeping habits (she often won't nap) but they would rock her in their arms sometimes just letting her rest rather than try to force a nap. The center is spotless and every day there is a new arrangement of toys and different activities. My daughter has blossomed here. I always love that the staff always take time to talk about day to day things but also have plenty of advice (when asked for) about different stages of development. Honestly the biggest difficulty in settling my daughter in was me, they were so kind and understanding about how upsetting I found it to leave her. I recently looked back through the last 9 months of notes from the center and they tell such a lovely story of my daughter's development, told from the point of view of people who really care about her. This review is long overdue. ELEC exceeded our expectations in all areas. We couldn't have asked for a more loving, caring, and safe learning environment for our daughter. Our daughter had a rough start adjusting to daycare, but we credit Mrs. Annie for helping our daughter transition into her new routine and thrive in her new environment. Mrs. Annie is a wonderful teacher who has a very calm and patient demeanor and has the ability to connect with all children. Mrs. Annie really takes the time to carefully plan activities around learning and development, and she constantly rotates new toys to create a more stimulating environment for the children. We have always been impressed by how clean and organized the center was for the children, and by Mrs. Annie's daily notes/communication with us. We were so sad when the time came to transition over to preschool, but were confident that our daughter would be very successful at her next school due to the excellent preparation and skills she learned at ELEC. read more

This is an amazing daycare! All of the caregivers are loving, nurturing and patient with the children. We feel completely confident in the care our son receives there as we see how happy he is and how he has been growing and learning in this environment. Every day, we receive a detailed report of his day, from naps to eating and diaper changes and activities and new achievements. We treasure these stories and insights into the little person he is becoming. They also keep a detailed journal with pictures and details about his days. This is so much more than we ever expected from a daycare! We can tell that they truly love the children. Going back to work when he was 4 months old was one of the hardest things I've ever done. But knowing he is well cared for and loved by the staff has made the transition so much easier. I can't recommend this center enough. read more

This is a wonderful daycare! The choice of daycare is really difficult. Soon after we started at ELCC we knew we had made the right choice. The level of care is exceptional. Additionally, the program is small enough that every child gets individualized care and the needs of the children (and their parents!) are fulfilled. It has enough children though for meaningful interactions and socialization. The play area is always meticulously clean and there is a great collection of activities/toys that are rearranged daily. In addition, every child receives a daily note which summarizes the eating, sleeping, and includes a highlight, new skill or milestone. Each child also has a binder with pictures and a journal. If we have another child, we will absolutely take him/her to ELCC. read more

This is, in my opinion, the best place for infant and toddler care on the Central Coast. I looked long and hard before choosing Early Learning Children's Center. The director, Ms. Stiles, is warm, nurturing, and very particular about the teachers she hires (this is GREAT!). When I first brought my daughter there, I was amazed at how calm the infant room was- all those babies were happy! The toddler room is very fun, and potty training friendly. My daughter isn't potty trained yet, but I'm glad that the support is there when the time comes. Both classrooms are very clean and well taken care of. Every day I get both a written and verbal report about how my daughter's day was. The detailed reports I receive show me that they are really paying attention. I never worry about how my daughter is doing (and I am a worrier when in comes to my kids!). We are so glad we found ELCC! Though it isn't the cheapest childcare option, I believe it is the best, and worth EVERY penny. read more

I can not say enough about how amazing our experience was with Anne and ELCC! After having my first baby in 2013, I was terrified of leaving her at 12 weeks old when I had to return to work full time. I found Anne when she was doing childcare in her home and I immediately felt comfortable with her. I remember going home and telling my husband that for the first time, I felt like I found someone that I wouldn't be afraid leaving our baby with. From the first day I left her with Anne, I never once worried about her. I knew she was in great hands and being loved and taken care of. Anne would give written updates of her day including eating, sleeping and a little blurb about something fun she did. I ended up transitioning my daughter to Anne's daycare center where she thrived until she was 2 years old and graduated from the program complete with an adorable graduation ceremony. I later enrolled my second baby a few months later and was devastated when my husband and I found out we had to move a few months later. I searched for places in our new city to meet the same expectations I had of ELCC and haven't found something comparable. Anne and all her staff have been the best I have ever come across. They demonstrate love, committment, and full dedication to each child as an individual and support each child to develop their unique personality. I will cherish the memories we had with ELCC and love looking at the binder of artwork, photos, developmental observations, and daily journal entries that Anne made for our daughters.
