Little Blessings is just that, a blessing. Mz Liz is loving and attentive, and my son loves being there. Most mornings he runs into her arms for hugs, and rarely does he get upset at me leaving. I was dreading the day I would have to put my son in daycare, but knowing how comfortable he is with us leaving him there and how much he loves Ms Liz, just makes it so much easier. He gets excited in a morning when I say "Do you want to go to school". :) Most days when we show up for pick up he runs into our arms, but some days he keeps on playing and doesn't want to leave lol. The daycare room is cozy, welcoming and clean. Then there's the relaxing nap area, and the fun outdoor play area. I'm so glad we went with Ms Liz's home daycare and not a bigger facility. Our son absolutely loves Ms Lizz and Ms Megan! He asks every day to "go to school" and always lights up when we walk in! We have been going to Little blessings for months now and couldn't be happier! It is really hard leaving your baby. They make the environment so warm and loving for the kids. They treat each child with unconditional love, just as they would their own. The care and attention is off the charts, they have taught our son so much! They are very interactive with arts and crafts, counting, colors and more and always over communicate any needs to ensure each kid has the best experience. I can't say enough about Miss Megan and Miss Liz. Our son started at 2 years old. He absolutely thrived with the peer socialization and flourished in the preschool setting. When he started Kindergarten this year he was more than ready. He knew all his basic fundamentals and more. Miss Megan does such a great job with teaching them things that they can grasp and retain. He had no trouble with the transition to kindergarten at all. So, when our youngest turned 1 it was only fitting she follow suit and receive the best love and attention at Little Blessings. I can't stress how wonderful, accommodating, understanding, loving and amazing they are at Little Blessings. We toured and looked at multiple in-home and facility run programs. Nothing compared. The small ratio of children to teachers was a huge plus for us. My daughter has been attending Little Blessings for a couple of months now, and I cannot recommend it enough. I didn't know how I would feel leaving my baby on the first day, but by the time I ran out to my car to grab some items for her and returned inside, my baby was happy and playing. She provided fast responses to my questions and was able to set us up with a tour quite quickly. My daughter asks me everyday when she wakes up if it's a school day because she absolutely loves going to Little Blessings. Ms. Lizz and Ms. Megan have created an environment that is nurturing both academically and emotionally. They plan so many fun experiences for the kids. We waited for a little over a year for a spot to open. I've read recommendations and great reviews on moms of simi valley Facebook group. I was so happy when Lizz told me that a spot is available. I almost took my daughter to a different one that we didn't really like. My husband and I went to check their place out and we just fell in love with it. It looks very cozy, smells good all the time, very welcoming feeling, neat! Everything is just perfect. Miss Megan and Miss Lizz are great! They're just one text away if you need to check on your little one. Our daughter is always excited to be there. We can see and feel that she loves everybody. We've seen improvements with our toddler. She's more sociable now. She's improved in a lot of ways! It's worth every penny everytime we see our daughter's smile. It's great that they post pictures of the kids on their fb page. It just makes our day as a parent. We love that there's always fun activities and they have themes every month for preschool. They celebrate birthdays and holidays. This is the BEST daycare/preschool. I visited so many when trying to find a daycare for my daughter and I feel so grateful to have found this one. My first daughter started when she was 2 and my second will be starting when she is 4 months. My 2 year old is learning so much in the preschool. Everyday there are new lessons, activities and crafts. She loves to be "leader of the day" and always comes home talking about what they did at school. For the little ones, this is a warm loving environment and I feel confident while away that they are in the best care. Lizz and Megan are the greatest, they are fun, friendly, loving and while having a good time, playing and nurturing our children they are teaching them as well. Little Blessings is like a second family to us... I don't know what we would do without them!! We first found them when we moved into the area and were looking for child care for my oldest (who was 1.5 at the time). After looking at multiple other places and leaving in tears at the thought of leaving our sweet girl there, Little Blessings was like a godsend. From the second we walked in I knew it was something really special. They truly love the children and take great pride in creating a warm, nurturing, (and super clean!!) environment for the children to learn and grow. We've now been there for 4 years, with our second starting when she was 5 months old. Our girls love Lizz and Megan like family, and the oldest (who is now in kindergarten) can't wait to come back and visit whenever she gets the chance! As for the preschool, they prepare the kids so well for kindergarten. I was continually impressed at how much she learned while she was there, and how much she enjoyed learning! They have a great curriculum and because it's both a child-care and preschool they are able to assess when the little ones will be ready and start them at their own pace. It really instills a love of learning from an early age. One of my favorite things about Little Blessings is how special they make holidays and other "special" days throughout the year. They go all-out with themed treats and crafts and decorations... and the kids LOVE it! It makes them feel so special, and they love coming home and showing off all their crafts! My daughter started just before she turned 1 and has been there over 2 years. She loves it. Lizz and Megan are her best friends. She is excited to go everyday and share with Lizz and Megan and all of her friends. She learns important things such manners and caring along with educational things such as colors, counting and numbers. They learn so much that my daughter will not need another preschool before entering kindergarten. The home is clean and the meal nutritious. They have share day, certain color days and birthday activities. I would not change a thing about the daycare/preschool. Little Blessings has truly been the best. We've been attending for almost 2.5 years and we couldn't be happier. We have 3 children, a 7 year old, 5 year old, and 2 year old. Our children have been with caretakers since they were each 3 months old, and we've experienced both nannies and 2 different preschools. Little Blessings tops them all. We couldn't be more blessed to be a part of their family. My middle and youngest attend and have now had the pleasure of experiencing their care during infancy and preschool years. My 5 year old will be "graduating" this summer and the thought makes us so sad. He will miss Lizz and Megan terribly. There's so many wonderful things about Little Blessings, but here's some of my favorites: - I love that they are both a daycare and preschool. This was a life saver as I didn't have to worry about 3 different drop off's. My youngest and middle's needs would both be met with the combination of a daycare and preschool. - They have 2 teachers- both of them equally amazing. Lizz cares for the younger children and Megan teaches the preschoolers. I love that it's split this way as to create structure for the kids. That said, my infant was certainly exposed to preschool songs and fun stuff that she could access as a baby- but it really allowed my preschooler to also have his time to learn, separate from her. - Their daycare/preschool set up is a like a pinterest dream ;) They do such a nice job of keeping everything organized, toys rotated, and so forth. - They have such an amazing way with the children. My husband and I always joke that they have some serious magic powers as every time we see the children, they listen so well! You can guarantee that during transitions to eat, every child falls in line and happily march over to their tables, sit, pray, and eat. A routine like lunch time in my home is often filled with much more craziness, and I only have 3 ;) -The children know what to expect because the overall routine is fairly similar day to day. That said, they do such a wonderful job of going over and beyond to make the children feel special and to conduct special events, for Holidays, birthdays, etc. - They learn so much! Every day they come home with new things they've learned, whether it be letters, or a new story, or a new song. It's so much fun to see and hear about what they're up to on a daily basis! - My kids truly are so happy at the end of the day. Both Lizz and Megan are like the dream team and we really couldn't be happier to have our children there. They've been a blessing to us and I don't know what we will do when our youngest graduates. Little Blessings is a daycare and preschool that parents DREAM about. We have 3 boys and have been at Little Blessings for over 8 years. My 10 year old started there when he was 18 months. We are beyond grateful we found such a safe, clean, creative, fun, magical and loving environment for our children to learn, grow and thrive. From the minute we met Lizz, we knew her family was special. They have treated our entire family like their own from the very beginning. Lizz and Megan have so much love for all the kids and you can see that love shine through on the happy faces of the children each and every day. In addition to the amazing preschool curriculum that Little Blessings provides, our kids have learned how to be good citizens. Lizz and Megan instill good values in the children from the very start. They teach the kids good manners, how to treat others with respect and how to be responsible. The children know how to share, always say please and thank you, and are thoughtful and considerate of their friends. While our kids have sometimes been difficult nappers at home, at Little Blessings, that's never been a problem. Lizz and Megan have the kids on pretty much the same routine every day so the kids know what's expected of them and what to look forward to each day. Not sure exactly how they get 10+ children to go down for a nap at the same time but it's pretty amazing. Little Blessings is also absolutely SPOTLESS at all times. Again, with so many children, we don't know how they do it. As for the preschool curriculum, we are so impressed by how much our kids have learned at Little Blessings. Our youngest comes home every day so excited to show his big brothers the creative craft he made or what he learned from Miss Megan. Little Blessings also has so many different celebrations that the kids really enjoy. Whether it's Dr. Seuss Day, St Patrick's Day or Pajama Day, our kids have always looked forward to the theme days and the fun activities they get to participate in on those days. ​ Our 5 year old will be going to Kindergarten in the fall and we have no doubt that he will be prepared for what's to come because of the education and values he's been taught at Little Blessings. Although we know we will be lifelong friends with the Torrey family, we will truly miss our daily interaction with our Little Blessings family.
