Little Brother's is open again - and the community is happy to welcome them back. The cafe is now at the other end of the block where they used to be - in a bright and spacious corner venue. Mmmmmmmm... Yum! I had the Southwestern Omelette! Low and behold it came with salsa, salad, fruit and a delicate swirl of balsamic vinegar. I just went to the most amazing Bistro today with my co-workers today... it has at Hometown feel nice cute in rustic... In for it to be a healthier selection it was so delicious everyone enjoy their meal one co-worker had the crabby and cheese (pimento cheese that is) sandwich with a Mediterranean salad and she devoured it... And others who had the half and half which was half salad have soup and they chose the potato soup and it was so delicious they was like they never tasted anything like that9 Me I had the delicious club sandwich with the potato salad that's made with the red potatoes with the Little Skin of the potato still in it and I think it had bacon in it and it was so delicious the best potato salad I've ever had... And to top it all off they give you a pecan muffin that is so delicious we had to order another 4 And the staff was so friendly and patient with us then that it was our first time best sandwich and Bistro I've ever been to highly recommend this restaurant if you're ever in the Americus Georgia area read more

Having married a young Georgian Southern Belle from Americus, GA, perhaps I didn't know what it was, culturally, I was marrying into. I'm an unabashed yankee from Chicago who, by all counts, is probably considered a bit "metro" for Americus. I talk different...I dress different...I like different food. When I had my family down for our wedding in Americus, they looked at me strangely when I mentioned that the best food in Americus were the hot wings from the Chevron gas station. So fast-forward, well, a long time and my wife and I decide to grab some lunch at Little Brothers. We were somewhat familiar with the place...apparently my wife knows Steve (the owner?) from her school days and we had grabbed a couple of lattes when they were located in The Maze. We both ordered a half-and-half....my wife got the blue shell crab special sandwich with the baked potato soup....I opted for the tomato basil soup and a ham and swiss. The cashier recommended the ham and swiss panini which came with peppers, onions, and mushrooms. I won't attempt to rate my wife's food....she loves good food but typically doesn't go much further with her descriptors that just saying "it's really good.". She said her lunch was "very good". First thought I had about my lunch was how everything appeared to be homemade. The soup, the sandwich, the pickle, the little candied pecan muffin, hell, even the oyster crackers appeared to be homemade. The soup was fantastic...perfect consistency, great flavor, and served at a perfect temperature that allowed me to dig right in. The panini...man...I was expecting some typical play on a Philly with boring ingredients like green bell peppers, yellow onions, and white mushrooms. What I got was some fantastic Boars Head ham, thick and tasty portabella mushroom (marinated?), sweet yellow and red peppers, and some nice, diced purple onion. Delicious sandwich. Delicious lunch. This place is a ledge in the abyss of Americus food culture. Can't wait to go back and was so happy to see so many young people dining here....great to see that Little Brothers, and today's youth, appreciate what pleasure fresh food made from fresh ingredients can bring a diner. read more

This is a little pricey for the Americus area, but still affordable. The food is always good. I especially like the Crabby Melt, which has pimento cheese, bacon, and crab. I have tried several items off the menu and have never been disappointed. If you want a good lunch spot for upscale sandwiches, salads, and soups, Little Brothers is a good choice. It can get crowded during the lunch rush, but there is extra seating outside. read more

Arrived at 4:30 prior to their closing time of 5:00. They were happy to serve us and courteous at all times. My husband had the special panini sandwich and I had the Greek flat bread with a cup of Tomato Basil soup on the side. Everything was very good and well presented. Went in for lunch after hearing good things through the grapevine. I expected a wait because of the usual lunch rush, and it was busy, but the service was prompt and excellent. I had the Provolone Turkey Melt and it was delicious, easily the best takeout I have ever had in Americus. I have had worse food for a lot more money, so I will definitely be returning. read more

I've heard about Little Brother's for a while and was in Americus today on business so I thought I'd give it a try for lunch. Despite the one way streets of downtown and it being the height of the lunch hour I found a great parking place and made the quick walk to the restaurant. There was a small line but it moved fast and not long after I was seated my food came out. I tried the "craby" melt which was crab mixed with pimento cheese, bacon on toasted ciabatta. It was good. Quite messy to eat, but the flavor was there. I also had some of the potato soup, which was also good. It was starting to separate a little, but in this case it was purely an aesthetic thing for me because it still tasted good. I'll visit again next time I'm in town. read more

Polite employees and good food. I had the turkey panini and my only complaint was that it could have used a little more seasoning. I am so sad that I didn't find this little gem before finals week. The beaux and I wanted to try something different in this podunk town, so we decided to try this place based off of a recommendation. They serve their sandwiches up with Boars Head meats, which I personally love. I decided on half of a club sandwich wrapped in lettuce instead of bread with a bowl of chowder (bc I love me some chowder no matter what time of the year). The beaux opted for a turkey panini with a caesar salad. We both thoroughly enjoyed our choices. I went back a second time, and I was equally satisfied as the first time. One of my FAVORITE places to eat at in Americus! Their food is definitely "fresh" and made to order. I love some of the unique combinations on the menu and their delicious flavors. Great local atmosphere. Definitely worth a taste. Better get there early as they get busy quick. read more

I'm not going to be to hard on it because places like this are a treat in small towns. If it were in a real city I would rate it 3. Service was slow but you expect that from places like this. I was really excited about my crabby melt... crab meat, pimento cheese with bacon oh my! Unfortunately the bacon overpowers the crab so much you don't know it's their. I tried removing the bacon but was disappointed to find I was basically left with melted cheese on too much bread. Pimento and cheese is one of my faves but I couldn't find hardly and pimentos in the melted mess. It wasn't bad just not as good as it could have been with just a little added effort. read more

We found ourselves in Americus this week right around lunchtime and so we popped into Little Brother's. The tomato basil soup (with butternut squash) is amazing. Chicken salad is very tasty too and so are the cute little nut muffins. I only took off one star because the sandwiches are a little skimpy. Good - but skimpy. My husband and I lived in Americus for over 10 years and I can't believe we have never been to this place. I have seen the little sign hanging off the corner of the Windsor Hotel but didn't know if it was a pub or what it was. We went in for lunch and didn't get much farther than the menu hanging to the side before we realized that everything they had sounded amazing! I ordered the Berry Pecan Wrap (Turkey) and my husband the Wicked Gouda (Roast Beef). The drinks were self serve and we sat down in the dining area. The decor was modern and clean. Shortly after we sat down our meals are served. Plates were very presentable and clean. Our meal was garnished with a pickle spear and an incredible (did I stress that enough) INCREDIBLE, tiny sweet muffin which I thought was a very smart touch to balance the taste buds:) Overall this was a nice place and will be sure to eat there regularly when I'm in the area! read more

There is nothing exceptional about the food here. Fairly limited menu. You get a bag of chips with your sandwich. Had water and they charged 25 cents for it. Since the choices in Americus are limited, there isn't much competition, but you can do better. read more
