We looked at about 5 in-home places, most were ok, some a little scary. My husband convinced me to take a look at this new larger center opening up. As soon as I toured I was convinced! I'm so glad we did! The teachers are wonderful and kind and really get to know your child. I loved getting pictures everyday through the brightwheel app. Weeks are themed like space, or family, or summer. There's a sizeable outdoor space for playing where they went outside multiple times a day. They make food for your child if you pay a few more bucks; breakfast, lunch and snack time. The facility is very clean. They have a few fun field trips throughout the year. They do a few special holiday events parents are invited to like an Easter egg hunt and a winter pageant. They have a few people come talk at the school about a few different professions. They do some special classes throughout the year like music classes or yoga. My son loved it. We loved it. In retrospect I'm glad we sent him to a bigger facility because he got to know so many people and friends throughout the years. It was good for his social development. Also they went all out for his graduation. Y'all did so much work. Love you guys! Will definitely send my next one.

My child has thrived and flourished in this positive regimented environment. She not only learned her alphabet, colors, shapes, counting 0-100, but was also able to speak and understand some Mandarin! All the teachers have been nothing but amazing, responsive, caring, and kind. Her main teachers Ms. Alisa, Ms. Wendy, Ms. Emma, and Ms. Colleen have taught and established a great foundation in her education. I love that their curriculum isn't only educational based but also play based with encouragement of independence. My daughter learned a lot of daily tasks that I was caught off guard with a pleasant surprise. She's able to put on her own shoes correctly, put on her clothes, cut fruit safely, and help me bake when cracking eggs into the bowl- without any shells!!. And she always says "teacher taught me this". To Ms. Alisa, Emma, Wendy, and Colleen. I am beyond grateful for everything you have done for my daughter. Ms Alisa is one of the most thoughtful, patient, and caring teachers I have ever met. She always sent us the weekly curriculum, helped us prepare at home for the weekly show and tell, and would give me updates on my daughter's learning and how my husband and i can help her grow in the home setting. I was very nervous as we transitioned her to TK, but her main teacher ,Ms. Alisa, has done a tremendous job ensuring her transition to TK will give her confidence and bravery. You can tell Ms. Alisa is so passionate about her job with how much patience she has with all the kids. She always made sure to listen to each kid, bending down to eye level and giving them her full attention. I hope these teachers will stay in LACC for a long time because they have truly helped me raise my daughter to become such a well rounded little person- and the next kid will be lucky to have them too! They have changed our lives for the better. If I could keep my daughter here forever, I WOULD! I am so sad that my daughter is going on to the big school, but I am forever lucky to have LACC to help support and teach my kid everything. From education, to household responsibilities, learning about different cultures in different languages , and best of all becoming a good human being and treating others with kindness. The administrator and owners of LACC have been wonderful to work alongside. They were very transparent and always efficient with communication and running the annual programs such as their Christmas shows! Ms. Ping and Mr. O were always warm hearted and easy to talk to if i needed anything. I will miss them dearly! Thank you LACC for everything .

The teachers here are incredibly dedicated. They truly love and care for the children, and put time and effort into developing the daily lessons. As a Mandarin immersion program, my daughter learned songs, counting, and language in both English and Mandarin. We don't speak Mandarin at home, so it's been amazing to watch her pick it up. She's entering TK able to count to 100 in Mandarin! Beyond language learning, the school does a wonderful job balancing academics with cooking classes, sensory play, and weekly show and tell. Show and tell was our favorite as it really helped build her confidence speaking in front of a group, and gave her a fun way to practice her Mandarin. They also put on performances throughout the year (Christmas, graduation, etc) for the families to celebrate and see what the kids have learned. Communication was another huge plus. They use the Brightwheel app to keep parents updated throughout the day, and the teachers send multiple pictures and even videos daily. It was nice to see snippets of her day and know she was happy and engaged. They also have a chef who prepares home-cooked meals, and all meals are included in tuition, so we never had to worry about packing lunch. Thanks to all the amazing teachers at You & Me. You are truly angels. My daughter is heading into TK light years ahead, and we owe so much of that to this incredible team. TLDR: Amazing Mandarin immersion preschool with dedicated, loving teachers. My daughter learned to count to 100 in Mandarin, even though we don't speak it at home. Great mix of academics, cooking classes, sensory play, and confidence-building show and tell. Brightwheel app keeps parents updated with daily photos/videos, and all meals (home-cooked by their chef) are included in tuition. Highly recommend. My daughter is heading into TK way ahead!

I love how there's a weekly curriculum so I know what my daughter has been learning and every week is a new theme. The kids learn to do some cooking classes, science experiments, books and music. My daughter came home learning to count 1-10 in mandarin! We are so happy to see the kids thriving here and would highly recommend.

Miss Janet is FANTASTIC, WONDERFUL, LOVING, INSPIRATIONAL and a LIFESAVOR!…read more Our Grandson has been attending Janet's Montessori since last September. It was a difficult transition for him since he had no formal schooling prior to this. In fact, this was his first separation being away from his parents. Miss Janet and her staff were patient, loving, nurturing and supportive. Here are a few things you should know if you're considering enrollment: 1) The children are constantly supervised in the house and schoolyard. The place is secured with an adult at all times. The backyard is set up with perfectly for the littles ones. Bright, colorful and cheery. 2) The school is sufficiently supplied with learning materials, and follows through with a structured program. They also have music, exercise classes and story time, learning songs, dance movements and educational sessions. 3) It is preferred if your child is potty-trained but if not, Miss Janet and Staff works with your child. Proof is with my Grandson!!! 4) They are taught to be responsible, listen to instructions and directions. Never saw a child out-of-line. Miss Janet is firm but does it with love and positive reinforcement. 5) If your child is a picky eater like ours, they'll learn to love the homemade meals prepared for by Miss Janet. The meals are healthy and has helped develop tastebuds. 6) Holidays and birthdays are always festive. Miss Janet even has programs set up for the Parents to enjoy including Graduation ceremonies. 7) I have come by to pick up our Grandson at lunchtime a number of times and the children are in TOTAL control. There's no yelling, screaming or disorder. 8) If there is an outbreak of illness, Miss Janet notifies the families and immediately sanitizes everything. For months, my Grandson cried in the mornings because he missed his parents, but there was Miss Janet, nurturing with her arms extended and he went right to her. She even came out of her house once morning because she heard him crying 2 houses away!! Miss Janet is an Angel and as a Grandmother, I wish somebody like her was around for my daughters at this age. She prepares them for TK & Kindergarten. How does she manage with 10-12 kids at a time?? I have no idea but she must be doing something right because whatever she does, IT WORKS!!! Our Grandson will be moving on to TK and I must say, it'll be sad to see him leave such a beautiful and intimate setting with filled with love. My wish is that another child may be as fortunate to be a student under Miss Janet's care. She's amazing and a great blessing to many children, parents AND Grandparents. If you're trying to find something more affordable, please keep in mind that old adage...."You get what you pay for"....and we got our monies worth and more from Miss Janet and her staff. They're worth every penny. Thank you to Miss Janet, for being such a special stepping stone for our Grandson! YOU and your fantastic staff made success happen for him. WE LOVE MISS JANET!!!

I was so impressed when my daughter starting spelling her name on her own and I asked her who taught her, she said Auntie Linda! I also caught my daughter writing her name on her own as well...all taught by Linda. She was a tremendous help when it came to potty training and giving us tips and tricks. She provides meals and snacks for the toddlers, so you don't have to worry about packing food. She also gives you periodic updates and guides on your child milestones for their age which is extremely helpful as a first time parent. My favorite thing that Linda did was texting daily pictures of your child, I missed my daughter so much but it really helped that I could get picture updates of what she was doing throughout the day and the pictures were always full of big smiles! My daughter still talks about Auntie Linda and when she can go back to Auntie Linda's house. Sadly, we moved out of the area otherwise she would be caring for my infant son too.

From the beginning, Cindy was fast and communicative. The Daycare was small but it was very clean. Because it was short term, we paid a daily rate and felt the rate was very fair. Highly recommend this place! We feel great about having a flexible childcare option that is relatively close to us! Quick tip: You can block their drive way for pick up and drop offs. We only had to supply sheets and a blanket for her nap and water bottle. That's it!

It is going to be a big transition with her no longer going to Cindy regularly. Sending our first child to daycare was not an easy decision for us, as our families are used to helping each other out in babysitting and not sending our babies and toddlers to daycare, but it truly ended up being one of the best decisions we made for our daughter at an early age. Noticing her social skills and eagerness to interact with other kids both at daycare and in social settings has become very rewarding. Cindy has the character of someone who truly cares about the development and growth of children. I can recognize these habits she instills in her daycare, easily by observing her and the children when I picked up my daughter after work and simply talking to her for just 5-10min with updates on both my own daughter and the other kids she takes care of. Cindy was also so accommodating in adding extra days in we would need for babysitting, even in such short notice. She sent pictures every so often, and provided us with the daily routine of what our daughter did/learned on the days she attended. We appreciated her outdoor space for our daughter to get some sunlight and play, the friends that she made there, the year-round holiday activities she would prepare for the kids, and the bilingual dialogue that Cindy would use to expose the kids to more than just English. We are currently expecting our second child, and we would easily choose Cindy to be part of our lives again in babysitting and caring for our children when needed.

He loves the school as much as his sister did. Upgrades: The school has been upgraded a bit since my daughter was here which is fabulous. There's new play structures, new furniture, revolving imagination role play section, tons of new books and toys. Parent Involvement: The parents are just as involved as they were back in my daughter's village days too. It truly is just like having your friends watch your kid(s). Parents prep snacks, supervisor play areas and do projects. The creativity of parents is amazing - the help to come up with new snack ideas and projects is also amazing for those that aren't as creative. For snacks, the kids have had pancakes, DIY parfait cups, cold press juices and smoothies (made during project and tasted during snack time!)and delicious banana scones. Projects have been everything from cutting fruit for snacks to self portraits New "Friends": Our son refers to his classmates as his "best friends" and looks forward to seeing them every school day. He carried around his class photo pointing and telling us the names of each of his new friends. Field Trips: The monthly field trips are a great way to get out of the classroom. We've gone to the SF Zoo, a fire station, a rodeo, a pumpkin patch, the library, aquarium and even did a grocery store scavenger hunt! It's such a treat when the parents have just as much fun as the kiddos.

Since his first day, his classmates took him in and made him feel welcomed, and he was all in. He comes home with new phrases, ideas, and art projects almost every day. I feel like I can see branches sprouting from his head. His world is growing so much. Parent participation is really what makes this feel like a village. Everyone volunteering can empathize with toddler life and has each other's backs. They care for one another's kids as if they are all family. My husband and I don't have family in the area so to be welcomed into such community has meant a lot to us. The school helps with potty training, they take multiple field trips and most importantly- they just let the kids be kids. There are big outdoor play structures, dance parties, and share circles, a giant swing, a reading loft, musical instruments, and so many other ways to play. You don't realize exactly how much the kids are learning until they are home tired and happily singing a new song or casually dropping facts about sea creatures or dinosaurs you didn't know. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for childcare/preschool. It's truly a gem and a genuine pleasure.
