I love their use of the communication app and love receiving updates and photos of her day. If there's ever anything urgent, they call so they're sure I'm notified and she has already learned more than I could ever teach her while working. She comes home teaching me the songs and dances she learns in class, has an amazing vocabulary and already knows so many words in ASL that I hope to continue with her. Forever grateful to LODS and their amazing teachers!

Every person there truly treats your children as their own. Ms. Jeanette, Ms. Tenni, Ms. Mellie, and every teacher there are literal angels! I remember the anxiety I had when I began searching for a daycare for my first daughter, but when I walked into Little Oaks that all completely melted away. The way learning and love is incorporated there is something that I have not seen at any other facility. My daughters and my whole family have felt so special and heard and taken care of during our time at Little Oaks and that is a gift that I will always treasure. My daughters have had such amazing hands on learning opportunities while there, including growing their own plants, milking cows with a dairy farmer, and learning from first responders-just to name a few! My daughter and I felt so confident when she started kindergarten because we had no doubts that she was ready both socially and academically because of how thorough LODS had been in preparing her. I have referred countless people to LODS over the years and I will continue to do so even when my daughter ages out this year. If you are considering childcare for your kids, look no further than Little Oaks Discovery School!

I truly can't say enough how you should not leave your kids here. I was new to the SA area and…read morevisited this school because it had an opening and usually all the schools have wait lists. When we took my son it only lasted a few weeks. Every time I would pick him up he'd be filthy. Nose messy, lunch was all over his shirt, and just dirty! He was constantly sick which made me notice how everything truly wasn't clean. My son was only 12 months old and had a really hard time transitioning. I would do pop in visits to see that my son was really struggling. One day he stopped sleeping in his crib at home (he's been in his crib sorry free since month 3) I decided to investigate. I did a walk in one day and noticed they had been putting my son in a crib to just cry for about 2 hours since they have a full class of toddlers. They told me he was "napping" but he was clearly upset with snot and tears running down his face. There was no blankets or anything in the crib, just a cold plastic crib mattress. I spoke with the director about this problem and she said she would call me if he was having a bad day so that he wouldn't be crying for hours a day. Well the very next day I pick him up and they told me he'd been crying for 8 full hours AND NO ONE CALLED. I immediately withdrew care. It breaks my heart that they can treat these little babies like this. If you're reading this you should really think about finding a new place that truly cares for kids.

To start the owners are horrible, when the owners do not care about what happens in their childcare…read morefacilities, it shows in the entire building. I spoke with the owner this morning about being kicked out of the school for reporting licensing on the Director and the teachers in the infant room due to a child being left alone for 30 minutes unattended, and they never reported it to the licensing. it is extremely upsetting and frankly very sad that the owner said that he has nothing to do with anything pertaining his school and that it was up to the Director to handle the business that needed to be handled within the school. I have spoke with the Director several times about her staff, leaving children alone and unattended, especially the infants. It is very scary knowing that the girls who left an infant in the classroom by themselves there was no repercussions and they were still able to work there afterwards and handle infants. After reporting we were dismissed from the school without any notice. If you are considering putting your child here, I would like to let you know a few things. Parent teacher staff communication is basically not a thing at this location. The Director is very nonchalant and she will not speak to you when you walk through the door in the mornings. She said she's going to handle situations and never does. Prior to calling licensing yesterday the classrooms were so filthy. There was laundry everywhere, the cribs in the infant rooms are never put together. The sheets are always off the cribs, the babies fall asleep on the floor I picked my six month old niece up yesterday she had dried poop on her(two days in a row), and she was asleep on the floor with milk crusted on the back of her head, and in her hair while the teachers were sitting holding their own infants in the infant room, yes, I said that correctly these mothers who just gave birth to their children work with their babies, and they only attend to their babies. You pick your kid up in a different location every day due to lack of staffing while there's multiple people upfront, laughing and playing around and not helping the teachers in the back several teachers have come to me and complained about the quality and which they have to work in. My main issue was never being removed from the building or having the Director not like me. it's the safety of other people children's that were a major concern for me. Babies were always being put in cribs with bibs, and the teachers were constantly stepping out of the room, leaving multiple babies under the age of six months alone with nobody, and these issues were brought up to the director several times and and it was never handled properly. If you are a parent and you're deciding you want to put your child here please please please reconsider. I know it is hard to find quality right now because they are severely underpaid and they're extremely overworked and I genuinely understand that but leaving children unattended, especially babies is something that I will never stand for and hopefully the owners in the Director and all of the parents at the school eventually wake up and see that it's not always about money, but it is a huge problem that parents pay so much money for their children to be safe all day and they don't even know that their children are being left alone.

From the first day my son arrived I have had the most wonderful experience. The staff is supportive, they give advice when you need (and none if you don't). They truly care (I will run into daycare staff when I'm out and about and they will run up and my son will run to them right back). They are also reasonably priced and by far the most bang for your buck. My son comes home with far more knowledge than I would ever think to teach him (simple things like how I put on his own jacket, how to speak some sign language, etc). He has incredible friends who he hugs goodbye to at the end of the day. Socially, academically, and psychologically this was by far the best choice we could have made for our child. Update: I just read the bad review on here. Because I went there for quite a while I can safely say there's no way that review is real or it was written by a new momma with no experience being a momma. They give you a list of things to bring on your first day (I still have it in my junk drawer) and crib sheet is on there. In fact, you get it with an entire welcome packet. The nursery is ALWAYS dark during nap time. That's because-wait for it-it's nap time! The floors are super clean and they don't even allow shoes in the rooms-they're strict about it, trust me- I forgot once and I was quickly reminded :). Are the babies supposed to have bottles in their cribs? Then their cribs would be dirty and they'd get ear infections and you'd probably complain about that. There is absolutely nothing more fun to me than when my babies are dirty. It's because- again, wait for it- they're babies! If they're dirty then they are playing, and eating, and having fun, and most importantly learning. Shouldn't you be caring about that? Again, it's still my favorite place ever and I miss it all the time.
