The friendliest and most welcoming server you'll meet. Portions were okay, but flavors were amazing! We had a few dietary restrictions in our group (dairy free, gluten free, no spicy, etc). And the server explained and checked every dish that we could order. He even came up with an off-the-menu dish to meet the restrictions as most dishes were too spicy. We got: Papadh - freshly fried and served with tamarind sauce, mint chutney, and mango chutney. We ordered 2 to share amongst the 4 of us and it was perfect. Palak paneer - soft house made paneer cheese with a delicious spinach sauce. Perfectly spiced and generous portions. Lamb shishi - tender pieces of boneless lamb pieces in a sweet cashew/almond sauce. Mildly spiced, but still a ton of flavor. It's similiar to lamb korma but with a hint of sweetness. If you don't like spice but still want the complex Indian flavors, this is the dish for you. mango shrimp - big pieces of shrimp swimming in a warm and well spiced mango puree sauce. It's different than how I'd imagine mango shrimp, but it was still tasty and had a nice balance between sweet and salty. This was the dish the server modified to meet our gluten-free, spice-free, and dairy free needs. We chose to sit outside in the back alley and it was small side street with a partial view of the ocean. A few pedestrians walked by, but it was still a lovely spot. The food, service, and wine are all great at Little India. We had the veggie biryiani and lamb roganjosh with roti and garlic naan. All amazing, especially the roganjosh and naan. The roti wasnt as chewy as i like, but still delicious. The restaurant is clean and inviting, service was fast and the house wine is a bargain! read more

A Hidden Gem! Having visited India numerous times and experienced a variety of its restaurants, I can confidently say that the food here is exceptional. My wife, her sister and her husband, and I dined here on our second night in Nazaré, and we were so impressed that we returned a few nights later to ensure it was as good as we remembered. We weren't mistaken--the first night wasn't a fluke. The food was fantastic both times! The flavors were fresh and had the rich depth one expects from authentic Indian cuisine. Excellent food! The menu is extensive and the ambiance is very welcoming and charming. We started with the vegetable samosas which were divine. My husband had the chicken madras which was delicious! I am from the U.S. and came here for vacation in the middle of August. We came here and had the best Indian food! I will NEVER forget their garlic naan and butter chicken!! It was probably the best I've ever had, and I've had a lot. The butter chicken was nice and creamy, and had a lot of flavoring. The garlic naan was so soft and was well seasoned. We got their lambs, Tikka masala, and a few other dishes too, and they were also delicious! I would DEFINITELY recommend coming here if you want some good Indian food. We were so happy to have found Little India in Nazare. The restaurant was comfortable and the service friendly. The food was top notch Indian food. One of the best mango lassis I've ever had and the chicken samosas were so good I had to order more! I know going to Portugal we should be trying different Portuguese food, but we are all except for the hubby are a huge fan of Indian Cuisine. This location is by the beach of Nazaré and of course we were the first to show up during dinner lol. It's a cute quaint restaurant. Staffs and owner are very hospitable. The food is definitely awesome. I've had Indian food in Porto Portugal as well but while there the place was close until dinner time but I've tried that over 10 years ago and it was also very good. Found this place on Yelp with some good reviews. So we gave it a shot. They have some great food there. My mother in law never had eaten Indian food before and was a little skeptical to go. We drug her with us anyways and she really loved the food we ordered. The place is little and has a few tables. The staff there was very friendly and also spoke petty good English. The food was absolutely great and we really enjoyed all of the flavors in the different dishes we ordered. It was kind of like family style even though we all ordered our own food dish we ended up sharing everything and all of it tasted really good. We're from San Francisco, and ended up overnighting in Nazare after a long drive. While a lot of Portuguese places were closed or touristy, this place was fantastic. Awesome Indian food and I say that as someone who used to live in Hyderabad. If you want a break from seafood or are a vegetarian, you can't go wrong here. Great find! We had 2 different curries, which were made vegan for us. Both were very tasty and we were given a green chili paste to make sure we had the right level of spiciness. Wow, if you find yourself in Nazare and are all seafood-ed out, this little gem is a must. My boyfriend and I wandered into this joint starving and not feeling adventurous with food options one evening, and were so pleasantly surprised by the high caliber of Indian food and service, we came back again the next night! Indian food in Portugal two nights in a row, I'll admit it, because it was THAT good! I have had a lot of Indian in my day, and this is some of the best. We tried the samosas, garlic naan, shrimp vindaloo, chicken nilgiri with mint sauce, and a mixed lentil dish, all superb. You won't be disappointed if you make it here. read more

OK, I didn't come to Portugal to eat Indian food but this was the best curry I've had maybe ever, anywhere. It might even be in my top three meals I've had the entire time I've been in Portugal! I had the Chicken Jalfrezi and it was outstanding!! Garlic naan was warm, buttery and absolutely delicious! The service was super friendly. I just have nothing bad to say about this other than the fact that I wanted to keep eating and couldn't finish it all! My entire meal including papadam, mango lassi, rice and main course (big enough for two) was 16€!!!
