Either I am unlucky, or Ye Olde Pastie Shop has really been out of business for a very long time…read more.. in fact, in all time I've been going to Churchgate. The pastie shop was established, according to the plaque, in 1667, and sits right opposite the famous Olde Man and Scythe where the 7th Earl of Derby spent the night before execution. Even if the shop is no longer in business, the building itself is a fine example of 17th c. urban architecture.

It does get very busy in here at evening times but you never have to wait too long for your food. I think the chef in here is very talented. He also makes very nice cheese burgers and puts this sauce on it although I am not sure what it is but it tastes good! My friends also come in here a lot at the weekends. I will defiantly come here again. The menu is very good and has lots to choose from. Sometimes its hard to decide on the spot what you want to order!
