Essentially, there are a block of houses (on both sides) that are decked out in holiday decorations and lights. It's fun to walk along the block as these owners go all out. There are moving decorations, different themes, and even a hidden Christmas Village on the entrance way of one of the houses. It's a fairly short but concentrated visit.

People joke that it is where Canton neighborhooders move when they have a kid. The neighborhood is affordable, more space, older homes that need fixing, and yards...real yards. It also has a walkability score in the 60s which ain't bad because there is a the Harford Road corridor of businesses. Kind of a funky mix of places...an art gallery and Hamilton Bakery near a street front church or podiatrist...a blend of old and new hip businesses like Hamilton Tavern across from old old local bar Brannan's Pub. There is the yuppy farmers market-like Green Onion store which makes its own sausages (best I have ever had...seriously) nearby a CVS and old pizza store. They also have a massive Hamilton Street Festival each year and a farmers market on Tuesday in Lauraville down the street. This neighborhood has legs....it is diverse...changing...old...new...funky...urban...but with a lot of people digging in to improve it and get people here. We are loving it.

I think that if you have lived here you would think this is the best and the worst place in America. I personally love it. It can be many things, and boring is definitely not one of them. Today I moved a bot south of Baltimore, but I can tell you, every time I am coming back here, something inside is moving. The best and the worst city in America ;))

Alright Aberdeen, you have lots to offer...but if you want the most fun you do have to go to bel…read moreair or even baltimore county. There are several places that you find in Aberdeen that you won't find anywhere else. They now have their own truck food truck parking lot close to the train. They have several different banks, a few gyms (main one is planet fitness since the last two shut down), laundry mats, barbershops, several nail salons (some not even a mile away from another, plenty of fast food options (Taco Bell, McDonald's, Burger King), a post office and so much more. A military installation is inside of Aberdeen called APG, so there is a good amount of traffic during week days due to all the families and workers that go on and off post. The also have a Marc train that goes in and out of Aberdeen. Pretty combiner for commuters. There are starting to have more outdoor events coming to the Aberdeen area instead of them all being in surrounding areas. They just had a bunny race for Easter that just pasted and have several spring events. Another popular attraction is the Ripken stadium. It's a baseball field built by the Ripken family. They have a good amount of events from wedding expos to little league baseball games. It's pretty awesome to watch!! If up north, don't hesitate to stop and visit Aberdeen! =)
