I told them I was on the waitlist list since last summer. Their excuse was other moms who have children there take precedence. What really likely happened is they lost the list in their relocation and never admitted to it. Fast forward, I follow up in the fall, the new year, and again I called back in the summer and I asked what place I was in line and the gave me a number that was way further down then what I started with. Never did hear from them. Disorganized, irresponsible and unprofessional.

Most frustrating is that there were never any formal meetings to even discuss the possibility that if these things weren't fixed, we'd be kicked out. We didn't see it coming and had to scramble to find new childcare. The behaviors she exhibited are normal 3-year-old behaviors that might take some kids longer than others to work through. I feel the staff is either stretched too thin or doesn't have the patience or energy needed to work with little learners of all levels. We felt extremely blind-sighted by this decision and heart-broken for our kids who now have to start somewhere else, leave their friends and learn new routines. It was already hard enough leaving our only kids in the hands of someone else, and now I'm facing a ton of anxiety all over again hoping this doesn't happen to us again and our kids won't be given up on as easily as Meadow Wood gave up on them. Before this happened, I did appreciate many things about this daycare. The Brightwheel app is convenient and they update you/post pictures of your kids throughout the day. During summer there were a lot of extra activities like field trips and a magic show. Some of the teachers were really nice to us (we saw some be pretty snippy with the kids at times though). We always knew about injuries via an incident report. Payment was easy. Lots for littles to do and different enrichment activities that matched the seasons. Open at 6:00AM for parents who need to get to work early. However, unless your kids are really good at sitting still, following routines, and don't cause a lot of problems for the staff in general, they might tell you to find somewhere else better suited to your child's needs and that they can't offer the 1:1 that your child needs because they have a lot of kids to watch already.

You can tell by the way my daughter talks about her teachers that she feels cared for. The entire staff knows her name, not just her teachers. She is happy when I drop her off and when I pick her up. Another bonus is the hi mama app the facility uses to communicate with parents. I know when she ate, slept, went potty, and I even get pictures of her.

To start off I have never known that kids could be dripped off at daycare and not cry when they go. My 2 year old granddaughter has never cried and willingly goes in on her own. I love getting photos or videos during the day through the app as well. Such a neat feature! They show what things they are working on so I can continue to ask and with her at home. They check the kids in at the door taking temperature and wearing a mask to keep things as safe as possible. All the teachers and leaders there seem happy and are so loving to the kids. My son has gotten excited about letters and numbers, and he's a pretty rascally guy, one that's hard to get to stay focused. They've done a wonderful job with him, and they have a very relaxed and inviting atmosphere. The teachers are so positive, patient, kind, and consistent. My kids have advanced dramatically going to this preschool/daycare.
