This has been proven by parents who move their children from Scrabble to their home public school only to regret it when they find out their child is bored and essentially being held back academically because they're so advanced in everything they've learned. Maple has a no microwave, no fridge policy, which sounds strict at first but it actually encourages parents to send fresh, healthy food. The school also provides healthy snacks. And if you're a working parent who doesn't always have time to prep a lunch, Ms. Radhika launched a fresh hot lunch program. You enroll at the start of the month and your child gets a freshly made hot lunch each day. For staying connected, they use the BrightPath Connect app, which sends you updates throughout the day so you always know what's going on. Unfortunately, the basic standards of hygiene, safety, and staff competence have dropped significantly over approximately the last six months. 1. RESTROOM SUPERVISION & PRIVACY (OUR MOST SERIOUS CONCERN) Over the last six months, we have repeatedly seen boys and girls being taken into the same restroom at same time despite the fact that the school has separate designated boys and girls restrooms. We raised this concern six months ago. We raised it again on July 23, 2026, during a Zoom meeting with school admin. The school acknowledged that boys and girls were being taken into the same restroom at same time and told us that the matter would be discussed with a supervisor. The practice continued. Two weeks later, our daughter told us that a boy from her class was looking at her private part while they were in the restroom. She told him not to look and told us that he did not listen. She also told us that she reported it teacher. A concern that we repeatedly raised has now materialized into a direct violation of our daughter's bodily privacy and inappropriate viewing of her private area by another child. 2. STAFF CONDUCT & CLASSROOM ENVIRONMENT On one occasion, Ms. Nahal told our daughter, "ZIP YOUR MOUTH" We brought this directly to admin. We were told that the matter had been addressed with Ms. Nahal. To our surprise, Ms. Nahal never personally acknowledged nor apologized for what she said, and she remains employed at the school. If a teacher cannot speak to young children with basic respect, they should not be working with them. On another occasion, when we asked Ms. Rebecca about a bathroom related incident, her response was essentially: "I was the only teacher and I have 13 kids to look after. I didn't get time." Parents should not have to accept dismissiveness and a lack of attention to basic concerns about their child simply because staff are overwhelmed. 3. ANT INFESTATION We also experienced a significant ant infestation at the school that lasted for about a month. We raised the issue multiple times before the school finally arranged professional pest control. The problem was eventually resolved, but it was concerning that action was take only after repeated complaints from multiple parents. 4. OVERALL MANAGEMENT & LOSS OF TRUST A school is first safest place outside their home and teachers are first role models in child's life. We believe this school has failed in both basic fundamental responsibilities. Our confidence and trust in the school have deteriorated significantly due to major management changes and teacher turnover. Lacking proactiveness in identifying issues and bring them to resolution. We genuinely hope the school takes these concerns seriously and makes the changes necessary to restore the level of trust and safety that we originally believed we were getting when we enrolled.

Teachers should be observers and guides to the students -- not lecture them on how to learn. The first day my child came home from school, he told me, the teacher scolded him. He explained why and I said next time dont do that. And then he explained that they were taught as a group, lectured. Like regular school. Not a montessori school. Why would I send my kid to montessori if it was like this? Why pay for this? The emails are also not very professional and lack information. There is a lack of effort as to the reminders of events. There was supposed to be a halloween parade but there was no info as to what time. And upon arriving there, there was no preparation as to the music or what. During zoom parent teacher conference, we did not yet finish our call yet but another parent was already let in to the zoom call, forcing us to wrap up our call. I never see her during the mornings or afternoons. Previous directors would always be there. I feel like there is a misstep here. Appointing a directress who is so inexperienced that it leaves much to be questioned. I hope someone can fix this soon.
