We were deeply disappointed by this preschool's refusal to even meet and evaluate a child with a physical disability -- a child who is cognitively on track, meeting all developmental milestones, and independent in self-care. They informed the state that they "do not accept children with disabilities," which is alarming for any licensed program. Their website claims they help every child "shine" and provide a place where children are "safe, valued, and encouraged to grow," yet their actions toward this child reflected the opposite. It's deeply troubling to see a school that promotes Christian values choose exclusion over compassion. read more

If you're looking for a place for your kiddos 10/10 this place is it. We've had our oldest son here for 3 years & the only reason we took him out is because he's getting ready to go to elementary school. We feel that the price was fair in what they do for the kids at school. Little lites has done well in the early education aspects of things to help prep our kiddo for school. Kids will be kids.. if any injuries took place we were notified via text the moment anything thing happened. We're glad to have had little lites in our life. read more

Little Lites has been incredible for my daughter! She's grown with great loving care! She's learned so much in her time with Little Lites. We've been with LL for several years now and she is always excited to go and spend time with her friends and teachers. They have taught her a lot of the basics such as her alphabet, writing her name, learning her address, colors, and shapes to name a few. They are very responsive and provide updates as necessary! This is a wonderful child care option! My son started at 13 months and my daughter started at 8 weeks. I always felt comfortable leaving my children at Little Lites because the staff were so detail oriented with the children. Everyday I got a full breakdown of their day on a worksheet and it was always super detailed. The 2 hr diaper changes were always noted and any notes about needing cream or out of the norm diapers were always appreciated. Snacks and meal times were also consistently detailed and noted. The allergies had special attention and the awareness of the staff for individual needs was superb. The facility itself was super clean and evidence of diligent housekeeping was everywhere. Every night it was "all hands on deck" for washing the toys with disinfectant and disinfecting the rooms and surfaces. The security code enforced double door entry in the lobby was a selling point for me and checking ID's for different faces picking up and dropping off children was appreciated by my family. When I toured and placed my deposit, Stephanie even shared with me a Military program available to assist families with expenses. I signed up for the program and was very grateful for the advice! The education schedules and curriculum were amazing as well. There is a great balance of learning going on and playing. The fences around the outside play areas were well maintained and there were always more than one teacher monitoring outside play. The music and dancing in the auditorium was great thing to see every morning as well. The best part was they greeted my babies every morning with enthusiasm and genuinely seemed to love their interactions with the kids. I think they loved my kids and they took phenomenal care of them. I got texts if anything needed to be shared and sweet pictures also. They were also flexible when I needed it with taking the kids outside of our normal schedule. I was sad to leave due to financial necessity but will always recommend this program to anyone looking for childcare! ***We returned in 2021 and stayed until we moved in 2023. We've had the pleasure of having our daughters attend Little Lites since the year 2016. Almost 7 years! My oldest daughter attended Little Lites from the age of 6 months through the age of 6, and my youngest has attended Little Lites since she was 3 months old and is now 4 years old. The school has been a second home for my daughters. This has been a place where they could grow up with Christian teachings in addition to their academics. The teachers are kind, attentive and engaged with the children. They are great at accommodating your child's needs and they are great at brainstorming ideas to help your child succeed in their classes. I'm sad knowing that this is my youngest's last year with them. read more

My kiddos have been going to Little Lites for over 2 years now. I can honestly say my boys are truly loved by their teachers and admin at Little Lites, which is any parents dream when it comes to daycare. Not only are they loved, but so much of their learning over the last 2 years is because of Little Lites. They are always bringing home fun, cute projects that they've made in class, another win for a parent as it's great to be able to see what your child is doing during their days away from their parents. I do appreciate how they handle the tough moments with the kids, they are always learning moments rather than punishments. I love that they constantly talk/educate my kids about emotions, to help them understand what emotions they're feeling and help them *try* to navigate them. They have great communication, they send pictures and updates of them often, always giving me peace of mind that they are happy and well. My oldest is about to go into their Kinder Lites program (he just missed the Washoe County birth date requirement to start Kindergarten) and we are very excited for him. We came from a great school in Las Vegas (Green Valley Christian). When we moved to Reno we were put on every possible wait list. We tried Kids R Kids in S. Reno and All About Kids II and the original. They were all just average and All About Kids II couldn't keep my son safe. This team is incredible though. I have three kids with them. This is not an established daycare, this is a church on the weekends and assembled to be daycare on weekdays, makes me sad because at the beginning I said that this is great because it's lead by Christian individuals. This is not the place for ur kids to have growth in learnings. My son went here for 6 months and there was not a week or month that he completed his attendance. He will be sent home for the tiniest reason or he is always sick, I do not see any air purifiers or toys getting washed at the end of the day on this place. They use room dividers to come up with multiple rooms for every age group and the place is so tight, very small. My son got very sickly when he was enrolled to this place, like sick every 2 weeks. This place needs to get heavy sanitized at the end of the day. "Teachers" were college students, some of them were very nice and I don't mind but till I transfer to our daycare now for 5 months that WE WERE NEVER SENT HOME, HE NEVER GOTTEN SICK and teachers are actual teachers with degree. We are getting updates with their weekly activities and as well as their growth, learning performance, just wow! I am very happy with our daycare now and very grateful, I will took it as a blessing in disguise that we had to leave this Little Lites daycare because of very unhappy, poor experience and I needed to find a childcare immediately and luckily we found one and we are now very satisfied and happy. This place din't work out for us. We regret taking the location convenience over the health and growth in learnings for our boy, what a waste of time. read more

If I could do 1 star I would. If you want to have updates on your child and their learnings, this is not the place. They don't send the 2yr olds home with a daily report as required by Nevada, not even a weekly report. If I didn't take the time to get to know the teachers and ask them how my child was doing, I would have never known. I still did not get information of what their being taught, or what they see that needs worked on so that I could continue that development at home. Teachers, directors and parents are suppose to have a tight close relationship for the benefit of the child. After 8 days of my son being there, they advised me they didn't think my son should be there in that environment anymore. I tried to be open and trust and gather as much information. This was for behavior normal to 2-4yr olds with not sharing, pushing and so forth. My son in any school hes been in has never had any "behavioral issues", so I was bothered. I think ultimately we got pushed out either from their "clicks" or the teacher not being able to handle normal behavior... which mind you I also witnessed with another child in the mornings with my son. Towards the end, the teacher advised me he punched her and pinched her. My son knows very well to not treat elders (adults) like that, he doesn't dare... so to me that is a sign he was fighting for her love, acceptance and attention. They ultimately gave me notice on a Wednesday at 4:59pm by email that Friday wil be my son's last day. As a single parent who had been looking the past 1 1/2 weeks for a new place anyway and I didn't like what I saw or heard... how do they expect me to hold down my job but find a good school that can teach him with positive reinforcement in just 1 working day! I do not recommend this daycare its more like a babysitting operation. Good luck on your search, I know how frustrating and consuming and difficult it can be when our children are so very important to us and how we raise them. read more

My daughter has been going to Little Lites ever sense 2021 she started off ant daycare when she was then moved up to preschool and will now be attendingg kinderlites at the school. It is a very good environment all the teachers and staff are amazing and kind to the kids, something that is really hard to find now in days. I highly recommend enrolling your kids at the school because not only do they prepare your kids for kinder they talk about the word of God to them with a lot of activities that come with it. read more

All three of my children have gone here at some point or another, and we have been quite pleased! I feel safe leaving my children in the care of such a loving staff. Although I can't provide much feedback in terms of what goes on during the day, I can tell you that whenever I drop off or pick up, all the teachers are engaged with the children. I don't think I've ever once seen one of the staff browsing on a cell phone or something. And I've never had a day that my kids were kicking and screaming not wanting to go. I can definitely tell they keep busy. Every day my daughter brings home 4-5 papers of fingerpaintings, froot loops glued to the letter W, and other preschooly creations. And my daughter comes home with all sorts of new songs, points out letters she learned there, and talks about all of her friends and teachers. One of my favorite things that they do is randomly text me a picture of my child's day, playing or doing an art project or whatever. They used to do a summer program for school aged kids... I would love for them to start that up again. My oldest was a part of that a few years back, and he enjoyed it. read more

My daughter attended Little Lites Last year! Our experience was amazing! The teachers genuinely cared and loved all of the children. Their calendar allows you to know what your child is learning each day a whole month in advance. My daughter always returned with stories about what she learned and allows the fun she had with other children. Little Lites understands that every child learns in their own way and accommodates that. Their classes are the perfect size so that each child gets the attention they need from their teacher. So let me make this point first so if you don't read the whole review you get the most important part. My daughter doesn't take a bottle so i go feed her lunch every day. One afternoon i pulled up and there is a little boy out on the playground, probably 3y/o. He had been left out there all alone! I walked him inside and let the director know, i also filed a complaint with Washoe County. This was the final draw that led to us withdrawing my daughter but there were other issues leading up to this. My daughter attended their nursery classes from 6 weeks to 9 months. When she was younger we always struggled with the fact that they would only do tummy with her maybe once a day, it was more just settle her into an activity that didn't require a teacher. There were times when I would go nurse her and afterwards put her in the jumper. My husband would come pick her up an hour later and she would still be in the jumper. Once she started eating solids there was a number of times I'd pick her up and her face would be crusted with food. In her eyebrow, behind her ears, all over her cheeks and she wouldn't have been fed for 2-3 hours. So not only did someone neglect to wipe her up after eating but no one else thought to wipe her face as they sat and played with her or changed her diaper later. Another issue i dealt with constantly was that the daycare opens at 7am but hardly any of the teachers are ever on time so there was often no one there to check my daughter in or a teacher from a different class would have to come over so I can drop her off. This leads to huge gaps in communication, the person checking her in doesn't relay any special requests or needs of my child for the day. Not only that but on any given day there could upwards of 6 different teachers in her class depending on the day or time, which also causes gaps in communication. Overall, it is a fairly expensive daycare for some not so great care. I only wish I would have pulled her out sooner. read more

I gave this a 2 star ..I understand that this is a daycare. My youngest son is constantly getting sick from having pink eye twice and then getting bronchitis. While my oldest son attends a sepreate daycare and isnt no where getting sick as much as my son has his first 4 months of attneding this daycare. Also feel like its overly priced for infant class and the teachers seem to be changing alot. They are always sending home another childs belongings with my son an then my sons stuff somewhere else. Would definitely not recommend as a first choice for daycare read more
