Amy was my homebirth midwife. She is a gem, she has such a positive attitude, and she's very straight forward with options but in a gentle, patient manner. I was using her previously and had a loss, and she was so supportive through that, when I became pregnant again I knew to call her right away. I loved her personalized care and never felt rushed with her, she explained everthing in an easy to understand way. read more

Amy is an excellent midwife! She was extremely knowledgeable and answered every question I had. I left every office visit feeling confident and relaxed. She was also very considerate of my needle phobia throughout my care. When the day came for me to deliver my little boy, I knew I was safe and in very capable hands. As a first time mama, the delivery of my son was life changing and almost peaceful. I know this is in large part to the trust I had in Amy. I look forward to using her services again for more additions to our family! read more

I have gotten to attend births several times with Amy over the last few months as another birth professional. She is calm, supportive, knowledgeable and a wonderful resource to a birthing mom. I love her approach to birth and the care she has for her clients. She is down to earth and easy to talk to while also ensuring quality care for mom and baby. read more

History

Established in 2021.

Little Love Midwifery was created by Amorette "Amy" Embrey to give women customized, professional, safe, and loving midwifery care. Amy wanted to serve women with individualized care. As a woman that had experienced home birth and midwifery care, she realized that not every woman is the same and the same experience is not for every family. The business was mobile for the year of 2021. It was a pleasure serving families in their homes for every appointment. Little Love MIdwifery transitioned into an office space in 2022. Amorette is Latin for "Little Love" and thus a name was born. When it comes to pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum care, a little love goes a long way.

Meet the Business Owner: Amorette E.

Hi to all! I am Amorette (Amy) Embrey a licensed midwife and Certified Professional Midwife. Little Love Midwifery Services was born from a desire to support women in their homes and give them the ability to make decisions based on informed consent. I am the grateful mother of three wonderful children. My passion has always been in healthcare and after my third child's birth, I realized I was being called to midwifery care. I immediately started looking into midwifery training while still in my postpartum period. I found that The Association of Texas Midwifery was the right school to attend. I quickly became a certified doula in January 2016 and was active in midwifery school in June 2016. In May 2017, I began an apprenticeship. Finally, I became a licensed midwife in 2020.
