Reflexology is a natural healing method that focuses on pressure points in the feet, hands and ears that correspond to glands, organs, and parts of the body. Reflexologists apply gentle, but deliberate pressure on these points to help relieve tension, improve circulation, and promote natural body functions. Reflexologists can even tell if you have a backache, acid reflux or even heart issues, just by touching your feet. It's actually quite amazing and they can show you a colored chart where the pressure points are and even engage in conversation with you about those areas while they are playing with your little piggies. Personally, I lay back and relax and don't bother with the small talk. I go to Peter for a quick fix - when I'm extremely stressed, tired or just need a break from my life AND when I just happen to be in his neck of the woods. Peter starts massaging pressure points from my head, to my shoulders, arms and then my poor, high-heel abused feet. To be honest, I tend to fall asleep while under his care. However, I am so relaxed when he does his magic that once I awake from my brief, but delicious slumber, it feels as if I had been resting all day long. YES, he is THAT good. I actually give Peter 5 stars for his service and ability to make me feel that good, every time. I've been told that you should see a reflexologist on a monthly basis for overall maintenance and health benefits. I try and sneak in a session with Peter whenever I am in the area. Better health is definitely a plus, but I go for the peace and happiness that I feel after each of my sessions. Yes, I admit, I am now an addict. I took off one star because they are set up in the Woodlands Mall, in front of the lower level of Macy's. One may easily be deterred from being voluntary massaged or touched in public - especially in the middle of a mall where you hear and see people walking around and conversely, they can see you. If you can get over that and give Peter and his colleagues a try, close your eyes and you will quickly forget where you are. I like to go during the week when there isn't a lot of traffic in that area of the mall. A one hour session runs $48; 30 minutes - $28; and 15 minutes - $18. If you pay by credit card, they may ask you how much you want to put on your card, so don't be offended. The credit slip doesn't have an area where you put down the amount of tip, so they input the amount that you dictate to them. Overall, I can get over the fact that they don't have their own storefront, because I absolutely love the way I feel after my session and eagerly anticipate my next visit. I opted not to let them step on my back, however my husband did and did cupping as well. Out of all the massages we gotten in the U.S. and out of the country, this was the best we have ever had! The bed for the massage didn't have a sheet where you get under like most places, but instead a towel that you drape over yourself. I didn't like that part very much. The room was just closed with a curtain so I could still hear everything going on outside as well them talking in the next room over. The massage itself was a 6/10. The masseuse never asked me how the pressure was or how I was doing the entire time. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone or come back myself.
