Great place! So much better than Paw Prince--where they use dish soap to wash the dogs and yell at the animals non stop.

While searching for a groomer and trying to become educated , my cat little bit had become fully engulfed in painful matts. At the end of our rope, we came across Austin at Petazzled. He took the time to listen, and also to get to know her personally. He also, and this is important, moved his grooming table over next to the lobby so I could be with her and calm her. It was a huge job, he made it into two appointments to give her a break. When we came back, though its painful, she was excited to see him. I've never had a better experience with such an arduous task. He charged me far less than he should have , so I tried to make it up with his tip, but it was still lower than anywhere I've been. you might have some trouble with scheduling, but that's because he takes extra care with individual animals. Ill go nowhere else. Thank you Austin. Lil Bit (fluffy) and Jason

Very dissapointed- stood up 3X by Austin for my scheduled grooming apt- he texted at the last…read moreminute to cancel my apt. He did not bother with any personal phone call. One time I arrived for my scheduled apt., Austin insisted that I was supposed to come 1/2 hour earlier, so it was too late for him to groom my dog, and besides, his next apt. had arrived early. I rescheduled a few days later, then he cancelled at the last minute with a text which I missed. This caused me to drive 2X from Sequim for an apt., which did not occur after I arrived. On another occasion in the middle of my dog's trim, my dog coughed up a tiny amount of phlegm. Austin immediately called me, saying I can't continue with your dog, please come right away to pick her up. He suggested that I take my dog to the vet (with a very tiny amount of phlegm she coughed up). I brought her home- she was fine for the next days, and I am stuck with a half groomed dog, requiring another day to reschedule. There was no consideration for the customer, and no courtesy call to the customer to cancel 2 different apt's. Austin thinks it is fine just to text to cancel shortly before the scheduled apt. I find this lack of professionalism, unreliability, poor communication and management to be unacceptable, and I hope to warn others before they too have a bad experience. I will never return, and will share my negative experiences with every one I know. A pattern of negative experiences suggested to me that Austin did not like me, or my sweet dog. The message I got was: "you and your dog are not welcome here".

Bergen's Dog Grooming - Notice how his ear is chopped but then long strands left?? And patches of long fur on his back?

Red flags all over! Absolutely will not be using this grooming salon again. The experience started…read morewith a walk in to have my dogs nails trimmed. I had previously googled this salon and saw red flags of their cuts being unfinished and choppy as well as numerous bad reviews. We were at Patricia's and decided to get our dogs nails trimmed. Went in there, they had a full grown basset hound in a cage. That could have been bigger.. but it was temporary right? When the older gentleman came to pick the basset hound up I had a chance to say hi.. the basset hound was not fully dry and it's a wintery fall day. How hard is it to fully dry a basset hound? Next comes a lady storming out to get our dog. Our dog has a bit of a bitting issue when she's stressed and too far away. My boyfriend said "I should go with her to help" at which point the lady snapped at him and told him they were fine. During this the owner was talking to the owner of the basset hound. The lady who took our dog slammed the table down to its lowest point and got our over weight dog on the table. Meanwhile she left a white lab alone strapped to a table in the corner obviously wet and nervous. You can't leave nervous and fidgity dogs strapped to a table, one slip and they are hung. I was more worried about our dog. They had her strung up by her neck and hip area, which is common practice... for an unruly dog. Bella is not an unruly dog on the table and the other groomer was able to sit her down and trim her nails just fine. What is not common practice is having a struggling dog who is highly foot shy pulling her foot and CONTINUING TO CUT HER NAILS!!! They butchered at least one nail on both hind feet to the point she had to use quick stop. It all came to a head when Bella looked at me and her eye was starting to get blood shot. The one lady was putting pressure on the back of my dogs neck essentially choking my dog. The reddening of the eye was caused by pressure behind the eye due to force being applied to the dog and could lead to her eye popping out of her eye socket. If gone unnoticed would have lead to her losing an eye, the way the two women were behaving they most likely would not have noticed her eye popping out or dislocating from the socket. According to other reviews them owning up to injuring my dog in this way is even less likely. I had to go back there and demand they take my dog off their table. I told them her eyes were going red. At which point they were confused because in their mind they hadn't been choking my dog. Needless to say we took our dog immediately out of the building at which point she stress pooped. It took close to thirty minutes for our dog to calm down and stop panting. They put undue stress on an over weight older dog which could have caused a fatal stress induced trip to the vet I have worked in the pet industry since I was old enough to work. I have cared for numerous animals of all types. I worked in a professional grooming salon AND at the notorious PetSmart. I have never seen two people so viciously disregard the welfare of a dog. There are multiple word I would love to use to describe this establishment, but I will refrain. I will leave this review with a warning DO NOT take your pets here and if you do make sure to stick around and watch the treatment.. I guarantee after watching you will go elsewhere. We will be going to Grime to Shine from now on.

We live in Napa, where wildfire evacuations, the heat wave, covid, and the dog collapsing were basically making me fall apart and so we came up to the peninsula for a respite. They were able to make an appointment for that week for an exam, blood test and urine sample. Dr. Torres has a great manner, talked with me at length, gave me medications to have on hand in case his symptoms returned before we could get back to Napa, and then followed up, patiently explaining test results and recommendations, along with emailing me the results and her notes. After so many visits where the dog was diagnosed with a variety of ailments, including respiratory failure (wrong), told he was dying momentarily (he's still kicking), calcified disks in his neck (maybe?), dementia (sharp as a tack), UTI (yes), possible kidney infection (yes)... late nights, lots of tears, and having to confront the reality that if the suffering continues I will have to make a heartbreaking choice...her calming voice and confidence in her findings that he just needed a longer course of antibiotics to clear the infection put me deeply at ease. The medications she provided were clutch, as three days after our visit (6 since ending his previous course of antibiotics) his symptoms returned at about 10pm on a Saturday night in Middle of Nowhere, Washington. Armed with her notes and tests, I have since been able to get him the correct care he needs. Make no mistake, he's a tough dog to treat: 15, deaf, hind end paralysis, cataracts, three teeth, and stoic. I am also tough patient: exhausted, heartbroken, traumatized, a fire refugee, and covid cabin fever crazy. She cared for us both with such grace, kindness, and professionalism. I recommend her in a heartbeat and am so grateful we crossed her path.

Dr. Stubchaer was very kind and respectful, so I hoped our return visit would be the same. Unfortunately, I was completely wrong! We saw a new vet a year later, and wow, had things changed--and not in a good way. The staff was rude and neglected the care my dad's dog needed. It seemed they would rather just let your pet suffer. I'm grateful for our new vet, who confirmed my suspicion about why they treated us this way. I will never return.
