I'm new to waxing, so at first I wasn't sure whether what happened was normal, but after talking with my wife afterward, it sounds like it was not. During my first visit, after the waxing was completed, my back was wiped down and some type of soothing cream was applied. This time, the moment the final strip was removed, the technician immediately walked out saying, "I'll see you at the front." There was no cleanup, no wipe down, and no aftercare product applied at all. I had to put my shirt back on over a raw, sticky back, which was pretty uncomfortable. Additionally, the wax/oil felt significantly hotter than during my first appointment. For a service that ends up costing around $100 with tip, I expected a bit more of a spa-like experience and consistency. To be fair, this place receives very good reviews overall, so maybe this was just an off experience. I even wondered afterward if I had somehow offended the esthetician, though I can't imagine how since I'm not much of a talker. They seemed perfectly fine when checking me out and even scheduled me for another appointment in 4 weeks, so I'm honestly just trying to make sense of the difference between visits. Unfortunately, this experience was enough that I won't be returning.

After seeing Chris Frost on and off for ten plus years for occasional and recurring lower back pain…read morewhich Chris was able to mitigate shortly after every visit, I somehow for the first time in my life developed Plantar Fasciitis on my right foot and at a random visit I mentioned this to him during one of my back pain episodes. The pain got worst over a one year period. I have cement floors in half my house. Chris advice was to never walk bare-footed from the moment of waking up to the time I went to bed. Well after following his advice the pain slowly ebbed over a six month period and I am now totally pain free and the only cost was a pair of in house slippers with good support. I tried several options from my dermatologist, but with mixed results at best, and I was hesitant to be on a long-term regimen of oral medication. I first met Laura after booking a facial on the recommendation of another friend, and it was the best, most thoughtful executed facial I had ever received. We had a great conversation where she really helped me understand my skin type, what is more likely to set it off, etc. I also started using her cleanser and moisturizer. I quickly began to see a difference. My acne decreased, and my skin didn't seem as "angry" - it was softer and less red. Over the next year or so, I had a series of facials with Laura and continued using her products. Incredibly, my skin issues essentially disappeared! Years later, I still use her products, and I have continued to have great results. I will always have sensitive skin, but it's smooth, soft and 99% free of breakouts. One last thing about her cleanser: it is so gentle that even if it gets in my eyes, it doesn't sting at all. I still can't believe something that mild could also be so effective, but it is.
