I had been at this office once before but by the time I got my appointment (it took weeks to get an…read moreappointment) my rash (an allergic reaction to something that I still don't know), was gone. I brought pictures that showed my skin condition because I kind of knew that by the time I got there, it would be gone. Dr. Fowler couldn't diagnose anything based on the pictures and said that if it ever happened again I should call immediately and they would get me in to see her that same day. Well, it happened again and when I called and explained my situation I was put on hold, the female at the front desk was going to look at her schedule for that day. When she finally got back from checking the schedule she said that she had an appointment for the following day. I explained what I was told previously and she said, "so you're saying that you are not going to accept this appointment! Again I explained what I was told previously. She again, without any further explanation said, "So you're not accepting this appointment". I explained that I needed to be seen today because I felt like my skin was on fire and again she asked the same question. I asked her what would happen if by tomorrow I found another doctor to help me and I was to be charged for canceling an appointment. (They charge $75.00 for a standard appointment cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice or a no-show). And yet again she still just asks me that same question. The office has been calling me several times since to they, "Um, I do have a potential spot if you're still showing um a bit of an eruption".

While trying to receive a facial, I can hear the laser from the other room beeping every two seconds for the length of the facial. Reviewing the medical literature I found out there was a minimally invasive procedure for the treatment of my condition. After multiple phone calls to clinics offering dermal fillers (mostly for cosmetic procedures) I found the practice of Dr. Anna Sylwestrowicz, MD . The office was very accommodating with my unique inquiry and agreed to meet with me just to discuss my diagnosis and treatment plan. One of the most vital requirements for a good medical outcome is a solid 'Doctor-Patient' relationship that starts with an open and frank discussion. I found my conversation with Dr. Anna (as she prefers to be addressed) to be all a patient could ask for. We jointly came up with a plan, discussed the various dermal fillers on the market, her experience with their use, possible outcomes and hoped for outcomes. I agreed to the procedure. Three weeks before the start of my hike, Dr. Anna injected my left heel pad with dermal filler. The procedure itself was tolerable and I walk out of the office with an order to 'take it easy' with my walking. For the first 5-6 days I was sore at the injection site but that was too be expected. After a week, I restarted my daily dog walks (much to the pleasure of our Doodle) and gradually increased my mileage. On April 23rd, 2026 I found my self hiking south on the Appalachian Trail from the small village of Damascus, Virginia. I was planned on keeping my daily mileage under 20km while carrying 15kg of pack. At that point, my heel was pain free. I hiked for a month pain free. I ended this section of the Trail in the very tourist town of Gatlinburg, Tennessee. This was a distance of 400km-pain free! Considering the pain, I was in prior to the injection of dermal filler this was a remarkable medical outcome. I am very, very pleased. As for the future, there are 333km left for me to complete. I will be back to the Trail in September for finish that section. Thank you to Dr. Anna and her staff in joining me on this journey!

Please believe me when I say that we are SO FORTUNATE to have Rejuvenation MD here in Whatcom County. Dr. Tianna Tsitsis owns the clinic and provides oversight to all of her clinicians. Debra brought her in to meet me on my last visit and I found her to be truly caring, thoughtful and extremely well trained. Last year I had a psychologically traumatic facelift by what turned out to be a condescending and dismissive local provider. I had been a patient off and on for years and thought I could trust this person. He had told me that I would be kept comfortable during the procedure but while under "anesthesia" I saw the other side of his personality. I was wide awake and horrified the whole time so I nervously chattered away, trying to make myself believe it wasn't so bad. I won't go into all the horrific details. Even though the actual results were ok I will NEVER go back to that provider for anything. I was SO happy to find RejuvenationMD! Debra provided ideas and then treatments that fixed the areas that the facelift missed. She knows how to treat older women and I have heard she is excellent with younger clients as well.
