My concern was to find a place where he can be safe and supervised. Janice was very warm to all the dogs she takes care of. I texted her a couple of times asking about my pet an she will txt me back with updates. When I picked him up he was happy and energetic as usual. He is always happy when he goes back to doggie camp. He really likes it there! Since then, I have used Camp Doganuga several times for daily and overnight stays. I strongly recommend this place. I am relocating for work to the East Coast and pray that I can find a comparable place to leave my puppy. P.S. Dogs have run of the house and a large outside landscaped fenced in area. I've left my dog Nigel with Mo for up to two weeks at a time. She sends me daily updates and plenty of photos/videos (necessary considering I pretty much start missing him the second I leave him). Nigel has a blast enjoying frequent visits to the park and hiking spots around Tucson, cuddles in bed, and hanging with the rest of the "pack" (Mo's 4 dogs and whoever else she might be caring for at the time). Every time I leave, it's like a little vacation for him, too, and I can rest assured knowing he's in the best of hands. If you need dog care in Tucson, Nigel and I couldn't recommend Mo enough. Not only does she have years of experience working with many types of dogs - including training service dogs - but most importantly, she always leads with love.

I found Laurie through extensive research and ultimately decided to meet with her to see if we would be a good fit in terms of my dog's personality, my comfort level and her business model. I feel quite lucky to have met Laurie and left my sweet dog with her for over 9 days! Laurie is a kind and warm person with a calm disposition. Daily walks and/or doggie park play is part of her daily routine. She is willing to speak with you daily, or per my preference, every couple of days to get updates and check in with each other. I brought over dog food, my dog's bed and some familiar smelling toys to ease my dog's transition. Lots of Love is exactly what I was looking for... Laurie, the owner takes several pets into her home in addition to her own dog. Small dogs stay in the home with her and larger in a separate large room and back yard. After a seven day stay, my pup seems completely normal. I'll be leaving on another trip in a few weeks, and I will definitely use Lots of Love then too. Highly recommended. PS - The price is $30 per day now, rather than the $25 stated on the website. Her service is well worth it though! PPS - Laurie requires a meet-and-greet with your dog ahead of time, to ensure that she will be happy and comfortable in her home. I knew it was going to be a good place when I found that out. Luckily, my dog passed the test. Similar to a traditional kennel, Laurie requires vaccination records too.

If someone says part of training is you are not allowed weekend visits, they are probably abusive or ignoring your animal. I doubt you are still out there but my daughter was 12 at the time and our dog came back afraid of people and not able to leave the house. He was no longer our friendly boy.
