Dr Barrett came to our home and was very conscientious of our needs and emotions. She gently performed the procedure when we were ready. She stepped out so that we and our other loved one could grieve. Then she explained again the next steps. Dr Barrett and Alice (who was also wonderful), kept us up to date and sent a paw print in a card along with handwritten condolences. We will also be receiving the ashes and additional services soon. I would definitely NOT recommend this facility. The level of care was marginal at best. My husband…read moredeveloped bed sores and pneumonia twice while staying there. He was rarely cleaned, and staff were supposed to clean his mouth before meals, but that was never done unless I did it myself. If I arrived later in the morning, his meal would often be left sitting in his room with no one helping feed him. Staff were also supposed to reposition him every two hours, but that never happened. There were many times I left in the evening and returned the next morning to find him in the exact same position. The response time to call buttons was unacceptable, often taking 20 to 30 minutes. One time, his feeding tube alarm went off for almost two hours before anyone responded. At night, staff would sometimes simply turn the feeding tube off so they would not have to monitor it. Overall, the neglect and lack of proper care were extremely upsetting and deeply disappointing. I would not trust this facility with the care of a loved one.

Our son was extremely behind when we started the sessions and by the end, was fully caught up. It took time to get going but in the end, we got there. The sessions with Tamra did not do much for our son, as he is shy and was hesitant about the interactions (it got better as we got towards the end). However, the sessions gave us the tools to be successful in incorporating behaviors into our daily routines to ensure we got him to the speech development levels he needs to be at.
