There's nothing wrong with that, but it was just disappointing for me. Maybe it was the time of year. Schalow's was interesting in that the selection of outdoor plants was huge. They even had some of the sculpted topiary bushes shaped like animals. Although cute, those topiaries looked like they'd be a lot of work to maintain. I did see some cute outdoor birdbaths and statues to complete the outdoor garden and there was a nice indoor area to pickup smaller items and ask for help from the staff. We were left alone to wander around the grounds, but periodically the employees would ask if we needed help. I like that they weren't pushy.

After 3 months, we dug it up and took it back. We were told that it was last years stock, and there is no guarantee on sale items. It would have been nice if we were told that when we purchased the shrub, since if we had known they sell plants that are not alive, why would we have bought it. I have NEVER purchased a plant that did not live in my life, until we went to Van Zeeland's. Obviously, I will never go back again to purchase over priced, no guarantee stock from them.

She ordered a$100 bouquet, asked for purple and yellow flowers and they showed up with a dozen of wilted red and yellow roses...no greens, no babies breath, no bow on the vase, and no "sister-in-law" banner. it appears that just because she used a gift card, there was no profit in the transaction for them. When my mom called them, they told her basically "to bad so sad"........poor customer service and will never do business with these people again.
